3 Chapter 3: So the world is changing...that's new

[User Madison Kondark has fully integrated with system]

This is what Madison was greeted with first thing in the morning. Not a bird chirping out the window nor the rain from yesterday. Just a loud mechanical voice telling me about this system Madison now has.

"Status." Madison said finally wanting to think about why something keeps talking about me like a computer referring to the person using it.

"Hmmm." Madison sat on the side of her bed with a thoughtful expression on her face as she read what the system displayed.

"Can I at least ask questions?" Madison said aloud without thinking much about it.

[Yes you can user Madison Kondark]

"How much can you tell me about what's going on with me and the others like me around the world, and why is this happening?" said Madison a little surprised to hear a response but still wanting to know what's going on in the world to cause this.

[What do you want to know?]

"Let's start with why people have been getting this system and changing."

[The planet you know as Earth is considered as a dungeon. Though it has only recently been integrated. Which is why you have never found life outside of the Earth. The planets you have found are only found within this dungeon and have no sentient life residing on any of them. Now that the Earth has been integrated. All humans inside have also been integrated as users, while monsters will begin appearing throughout the dungeon.]

"Well, if you don't mind me asking, why hasn't the rest of my family been changed like I have?" said Madison since the system said that all humans on earth have been integrated, but not all seemed to have changed yet.

[All humans inside of the dungeon will be awakened in time. When the last human has been awakened, monsters will begin to appear. You however are a unique case, as it appears that you are able to evolve along with using the other aspects of the system. This brings unlimited possibilities to you which no other user can have. I do not know the reason as to why this has happened.]

"Looks like I've got another thing to talk to my parents about, considering this concerns the entire family. It also looks like the world is about to be dropped off the face of a cliff side." said Madison as she stood up and got dressed in her usual t-shirt and jeans. Since she wasn't going to school today she wasn't too concerned with how she looked, but then again school isn't going to matter much in the coming days.

Just before Madison was going to leave her room, she paused and slightly tilted her head. "Can my family see you?"

[Only if you allow them to. Other than that the only things other people will be able to see is your status, but they have to have a certain skill to do that.]

"Then I would appreciate it if you would allow that. It makes it difficult to explain it when I am talking to air." said Madison with a slight chuckle.

[User Madison Kondark has allowed users Clark Kondark, Elizabeth Kondark, and Amy Kondark, to see the system.]

"Also what should I call you?" Madison said since telling others about the system would make for a confusing conversation.

[You can call me Aiko.]

"Thanks Aiko." said Madison before leaving her room.

Madison could hear some pan being stirred downstairs along with the smell of eggs and maple bacon which made her stomach rumble. With a slight blush, Madison went downstairs into the kitchen and greeted her mother.

"Hey mom." said Madison entering the room. "Need any help cooking?"

"It's okay, you can take a seat at the table while you wait, I'm already finished." said Mrs. Kondark with a small pause as it was still slightly awkward to talk to Madison for obvious reasons.

"I need to talk to you and dad again, it concerns what happened to me and the news." said Madison taking a seat at the dining room table across from the kitchen.

"Okay." said Mrs. Kondark as she put the eggs and bacon onto 3 plates and began placing them at the table before going to Mr. Kondarks office and calling him to come eat.

Once Mr. Kondark arrived at the table with everyone else, they began eating before Mrs. Kondark chimed in, "So what did you want to talk about? Does this have to do with what we said we were going to do today?"

"Sort of, last night when dad showed us the news about the people like me changing I noticed how it mentioned something like a system." said Madison while consuming a piece of bacon.

"I was wondering what that meant...I take it you also have something along those lines?" said Mr. Kondark looking towards Madison.

"Well it appears to be something like an Artificial Intelligence. I can talk to it and ask questions but there's something that is very important that you both need to know." said Madison as the slowly looked down with a concerned look on her face.

"What is it honey?" said Mrs. Kondark with a worried look.

"Well I think it would be better to explain it like this. Aiko, do you mind telling them everything you told me earlier?" said Madison with the look of concern still on her face.

[Certainly.] said Aiko, who then was displayed in front of them all in what appeared to be a holographic projection of some sorts.

What everyone in the room saw was a girl who looked slightly taller than Madison with a tinge of blue all over her body indicating that she was a projection. She had what appeared to be the outfit that Madison was currently wearing with the exception of the logo on the shirt. This startled Mr. and Mrs. Kondark for a second but after a brief pause they calmed down before getting ready to hear the bombshell that Aiko was about to drop on Madison's parents.

=====15 minutes later=====

It took quite a bit more time to explain everything as Mr. and Mrs. Kondark kept asking questions to Aiko about what these changes would bring and how it would change all of their lives. After a long pause to take in all of the information, Mr. Kondark spoke up again.

"When will the monsters that you mentioned begin to appear. I know you said once the last human gets 'integrated' but how long does that take?"

[The process will be complete in 3 days. After that many doors will appear on your world to lead outside of the dungeon. Along with that monsters will begin appearing across the world so do be safe.]

All 3 of them looked towards the center of the table as the were all thinking of what to do before these changes become more violent.

"Thanks Aiko." said Madison before Aiko disappeared from the room.

"It seems the world is coming to an end..." said Mr. Kondark as he looked back to his wife as this would mean chaos would break society down as everyone knew it.
