"Hmm, I guess so." Melanie replied as she shrugged her shoulders. Austin did not understand this. I guess so, what kind of answer was that? If Austin was asked if he could return back home to his wife then his answer would not be 'I guess so.' It would be something like 'Fuck yeah.'

"Don't misunderstand me, yes I would love to be able to see, to see the sun, the moon, the stars at night in sky, but I have simply grown used to this. I have grown used to this darkness that covers my vision. I believe that if it is ruined then the light would only blind me more."

Austin nodded his head in amazement. She was more of a philosopher than she was a child. Austin remembered what he used to do at her age, he was sure he could not even construct a complex sentence lest a complex sentence with a philosophical view.

"Then all you have to do is open your eyes real slow and wait for them to adjust." Austin said.

Melanie chuckled as she heard Austin's suggestion. "I didn't even think of that." she said.

"So would you like to be able to see?" Austin asked.

"Yes, I would."

Austin smiled as he heard her reply. This was what he had been waiting for. A simple confirmation. He reached his hand out and placed it over her eyes and held it there for three second. A darkness covered Melanie's eyes before dissipating into thin air.

He had not wanted to cure her eyes only for her to not like it and then want to go back to being blind but then having thoughts again about seeing. It was like finding a cave that was filled with gold but it was guarded by a strong monster. It would be in your mind and you would think of ways to overcome the monster. Compared to before when you did not know about the cave then you would have lived a simpler life.

"Open your eyes slowly." Austin said.

Melanie who had know idea what Austin had just done opened her eye. As the light hit her eye. She closed them really quickly as she got scared of it. She felt Austin's hands on hers.

"I cured your vision, you are now able to see Melanie." he said.

"H... how?" Those were the only words she could speak. It was only natural they were as people regained their vision rarely.

"Don't worry about that Melanie, now slowly open your eyes. It won't hurt I promise."

He whispered words of encouragement to her and finally she managed to pluck up enough courage. Just as she was able to open her eyes Austin spoke.

"Wait, is there something you wish to see? It will be your first time seeing. I can't remember what the first thing I saw was." Austin said.

It was at this moment that Melanie opened her eyes. The first thing that she ever saw was Austin's face. He had a calming face that did not attract to much attention. It didn't give you a sense of safety but it also did not make you feel fear.

She reached out her hand and touched Austin's face who stood there and let her. His skin was soft and delicate. Something that did not suit him at all. A person who had been through hardship after hardship. If anything his skin should have been coarse to the touch.

Melanie looked around in fascination. A big smile was on her face. An even bigger smile was on Austin's face. Just her being happy filled him up with joy. If he could go back to earth then he could cure his sister.

Austin stared at his hand. He just knew that he could cure her vision. Maybe it was because of the power he absorbed he had also absorbed the demon kings memories. He had even felt the instinct that he knew what he was doing, as if it was natural like he had done it several times before.

The food was brought to them and they ate. Austin offered to take her home but she declined after all she wanted to look around the city for quite a while. Austin booked a room and then went upstairs. He decided to go to sleep. He was not feeling sleepy but he decided to anyways. 3 minutes later he fell into a deep slumber.

He woke up hours later feeling grumpy and drenched in sweat. The room was hot and even after he had slept naked and with the windows open he still felt the heat.

Austin put on his clothes and stepped onto the window sill. The sky was dark with only clouds blocking the waning moon. It was truly a perfect night for crimes.

Austin disappeared from the window as it was time for him to go to work. He appeared 2 kilometres away from the city within a second. Naturally if anyone saw this then they would think he teleported but they would be wrong. This was merely the speed he had gained from absorbing the demon lord.

Austin walked around for a while before finally finding a tree to sit underneath. He sat down and released his aura. The dark sky only turned more dark as his aura stuck out like a sore thumb. It was powerful and bloodthirsty but also calm and the people in the city could sense it.

It was hard to miss it when the aura was bearing down on them so much that they could not control their bodily fluids.

After an hour Austin stood up and let out a loud roar. He gathered the aura in his throat and let out a roar that could wake up the dead. It could wake up sleeping beauty if she was near.

He let out two more roars before retracting his aura and killing intent. He then opened his online garage and picked a motorbike and then clicked <summon vehicle>.

A beautiful sleek motorbike spawned in front of Austin. It was like those motorbikes that outlaw motorcycle clubs drove. The only difference to it was this one had spikes on both wheels and a mini gun on the front just below the light.

Austin set of on a gentle cruise enjoying the cool night breeze blowing through his hair. It felt nice. This was one of the few things that made Austin tolerate this world. These night rides always filled him with joy.

Austin stuck to the road and within two and half hour later he had reached his destination. The lateral city of Amkevia. The city he had just left was the Imperial capital of Amkevia. This kingdom also had 6 more cities, it was going to be a busy night for him.

Austin got of his motorbike and opened his online garage and tapped on <return vehicle to storage>. After doing so Austin slipped into the city by jumping over the giant wall.
