At the Hospital-SC

We arrived at the hospital about ten minutes later and rushed into the urgent care.We ran up to the window and rang the bell that had a little note by it that said, 'RING FOR ASSISTANCE'. A young woman came to us.

"How can I help you?" She asked in a cheerful voice.

"My son-" Mrs. Figg started, but I interrupted her.

"My best friend, Mason, was coming downstairs to hang out with me and my friend, when his eyes went glassy and he fell down the stairs. He hasn't woken up at all yet. Please help him!" I said, frantically. She looked at us and began typing on her computer. When she was done, she asked us to have a seat and we did. Only a minute or so had passed, but it felt like an eternity, before the doctor came in and asked us to follow him. We followed him down a clean, white hallway and into a large room. It was so bright I had to squint to see a few feet in front of me. He took Mason out of Mrs. Figg's arms and laid him down on the bed. He took out his stethoscope and listened to Mason's heartbeat and wrote something down. He took Mason's temperature and wrote something down. A lot of this process happened before Mrs. Figg got tired of it and yelled, "How is he?!"

"His vitals are good, but he is suffering from a severe case of dehydration. Do you know how much water he's been drinking today, ma'am?"

"No, he didn't come out of his room at all today, he told me he didn't feel good and stayed home from school. Ever since then, he was in his room," she replied. The doctor asked us to go home to relax. We did. The car ride home was silent. Mrs. Figg broke the silence about two minutes in by clearing her throat and saying, "So, who was that boy you were with?" she asked me to try to distract me from the current situation, or maybe to distract herself.

"He's just a friend from my school," I said, and then turned towards the window, signaling that I didn't want to talk right now. When we got back, I got out of the car, and went home without saying a word. I walked in and saw Eric sitting in the living room, talking to my mom. I close the door and they both look at me.
