16 Great Changes

Once I returned home, I ran towards the bed I had made with some silk Isaac had supplied. As soon as I landed on it, I fell asleep

I never realized that that one rest would have left me so confused afterward.

-In The Dream-

I was seated on a single platform in the middle of what seemed to be space, and there was a table and chair set on the platform.

I was seated opposite to a being that seemed to be made out of several plants. I decided that it was time to say something, but was interrupted before I could even say anything.

"I have been allowed one chance to inform you of the impending doom that is approaching your world."

"This is a weird dream..."

The being ignored my statement and continued its speech.

"Our universe has brushed against another, and it has let several beings into our universe, some more dangerous than others. I have come to warn you of your future tribulations so that you may be able to prepare for the coming times."

"This sounds oddly similar to some weird anime plot..."

"A calamity is approaching this universe, and your planet is one of the first to face it. Your fate is to save the world, but it seems that you must do so much more. You shall face creatures unknown to any world, and you must be ready to face them."

"Oh god, it IS a weird anime plot..."

"Be prepared, for the world has become something out of the control of even the gods."

-End of The Dream-

As soon as the plant being said that, I woke up.

"That was the weirdest dream I have ever had..." I spoke groggily.

I spent a few minutes ruminating over the dream I had just had and then decided that I should get up and do something for today.

I walked out of my room and then remembered the events of yesterday.

'I never looked at what I got from the Slime King!'

I proceeded to run towards where I put the skeleton and looked at the ninja suit it was wearing.

I was surprised by the stats of the gear since they had defense at the level of my iron armor, and they even had bonuses to throwing weapons.

The armor was much better than my iron armor since it allows me to pursue a new path to follow when fighting monsters. I could finally use throwing weapons when fighting monsters, and they would be useful instead of just being a distraction due to them being so weak.

I decided that I would use the armor, but as soon as I started taking off the armor I noticed a blue bag with a crown on it hidden on the inside of the skeleton. I felt that I should look at the bag last, so I switched my attention to the ball of gel with a crown.

[Hard Royal Gel

Effect: Slimes become friendly]

The effect of the Royal gel made me thin back to the fact that the horde of slimes in the forest completely ignored me, and instead returned to the forest. It all made sense of the effect of the Royal Gel made it so that the slimes become non-hostile.

I decided to test the Royal Gel out now since it would also let me get used to wearing a full set of ninja armor.

As I was heading to the forest, I noticed something I hadn't seen before. It looked like an enlarged green boxy RC car with a green box with a camera on top.

It didn't seem to be well made though since it was shakily moving forward with wiggly wheels. those facts did not stop it from charging at me, sadly. I at least had time to look at it.

"That's... New?"

I decided that I should just kill it since it seemed hostile to me.

As it was running up to me, I decided to test out the throwing knives that I never used.

[Throwing knife (50)

12 throwing damage (14 with set)

4% critical strike chance

Very fast speed

Very weak knockback]

'...Huh, these knives are much stronger than I expected.'

I decided that it would be best to use them on the drone before it got too close to me. So I threw one of the knives, and it struck true.

The knife embedded itself in the 'eye' of the drone, essentially cutting off the sight of it.

Huh, I expected the knife to do a bit more damage to the drone, but I guess it is metal after all.

Or at least I think it is metal...

I chose to use my sword instead of my knives to test if it is resistant against slashing/piercing damage.

I hit the drone and it shattered from my hit, breaking into pieces, which all dissolved except for 3.

That's interesting... I'll go check what Jacob has to say about them, and then see if it is useful.

And so I ran back home, ready to ask Jacob about the wulfrum shards I had just obtained.

"Hey, Jacob?"

"Yes?"

I held out the wulfrum shards.

"Do you know what these are used for?"

"Where did you get these? I have never seen anything like it."

"It dropped off of something called a 'wulfrum drone', and I don't know what to use it for."

"I know everything about crafting, and I can say that that metal does not exist."

'Wait, this reminds me of something...'

At that moment I had a realization.

"The dream!"

"What dream?"

"I had this weird dream that told me that there were creatures that got brought into our universe, and our world was one of the first to encounter them."

It was an abbreviation of the conversation, but it worked.

"That does not sound like anything good..."

And then I remembered the bag I had found, only forgotten due to the excitement of being able to use armor that has actually good bonuses...
