Chapter ~ 4: Back To The Maria's Orphanage & Home

With a smile on my face, and a skip in my step, I exited the Pantheon.
While walking many people looked my way In curiosity, many girls blushing up a mess.
' This is going to get old, real fast.' I thought, walking away from them.

Walking Into a shady dark alley, I broke out In a full-out sprint, dashing by a couple of very odd shops and stalls throughout various alleyways.

" How may I help you?" Opening my eyes, I saw a beautiful young girl with bluish-gray hair, wearing a white blouse with a leaf-colored knee-length long skirt.
Looking Into her beautiful gray eyes and seeing an endless calm ocean, I sighed out In relief," Thank the Gods, finally a normal beautiful woman."
Hearing me, she chuckled with a light red blush on her face," Hard day?"
" You have no idea. Being chased by girls was not on my agenda today." I explained with a slight smile.
" About a meal to relax? I know a great place." She asked, with a kind smile and expression, one of the most kindest expressions I see in my life, not counting this one.
" Maybe later. I have a promise to compete." I explained, seeing the little girl from earlier through the window looking at me with a bright sunny smile.
" Oh~ Are you the one little Amelia is talking about? The one with the most beautiful hair?" She suddenly asked, possessing a glow of Interest In her eyes.
" Mister you came back!" Not letting me say something, the little girl ran to me.
" A promise Is a promise, especially one when we pinky promised." I smiled, crouching In front of her.
" Amelia, who is this?" As if she made a chain reaction, more children flooded out of the building. Walking behind them is a lovely older woman with black hair tied at the top of her head. She possesses a thin but kind expression.
" Oh! He has white hair!"
" It looks so pretty!"
" He must be a powerful Adventurer!"
" He? I thought he was a big sister."
Hearing the children surrounding me, I smiled. However, the last comment made my mouth twitch Into a wry grin.

Looking by me at the gray-haired girl, who is cutely giggling behind her hands, my eyes glinted," You thought I was a girl too, huh?"
Shaking her head, she explained with a beautiful smile on her face," No. I'm just happy the children here as someone to play with, other us two here already."
" Just you two?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
" Yes, just us two." She nodded with a sad expression.
" Don't worry Big Sister Syr, Big Brother..."

" Aric can play with us now!" Amelia said happily, looking at me, both of us knowing each other name, now.
Looking at me, Syr smiled as if understanding something only she does and then said to the children," We have to ask Mister Aric if he wants to stay a little and help us."
" It would help a lot If we had another pair of hand, especially ones of a man, such as Aric himself." The lady behind the children said with a kind and pleasant smile, staring at me.
" Miss Maria is right. Having a man such as yourself would help us a lot. I'm sure the children would love you to stay." Syr agreed with her cute smile, also staring at me.
"" Please!"" Following the two women, the children yelled out with puppy dog eyes.
" I don't mind. Helping others is helping oneself." I said with my charming smile and expression.
' Ugh! So cringe!' I half lied and truth. The first half is true, the second part is pure bullshit that I made up on the spot because it sounded funny.
""" Yay!!!""" Hearing me agreed, the children jumped on me and yelled In happiness, while the two a*dults smiled brightly, especially Syr staring at me with an unusual sparkle In her eyes.

After playing a lot of kid games, such as Tag and Hide&Seek, Simon Says, I sat down outside the Orphanage, with my back against the wall under the window Amelia saw me through earlier today.
Looking at the night sky, I smiled remembering my lazy black purple-eyed wolf-dog hybrid: Nyx.
" Haaah~ What a day..." I sighed out. I had more Interactions with people today than I had In one month of my last life. Not that I have an odd way of living, never going outside or something. No, it's my job is on my PC and I can ordering anything I need through It. All I had to do was give them money and they will leave anything I need at my door.
" It sure has." Syr beautiful kind voice, made its way by me, breaking me out of my thoughts.
Sitting next to me, Syr flashed a smile at me, before looking at the sky In unknown emotions.
" Remembering something sad, I take It?" She asked, with a calm expression.
" Yeah... Something like that." I answered, humming a soft calming tune to myself.
" A song from where you're from?" She once more asked, hearing my tune, I used to sing to my little sister when she was little.
" Yes, something I made up to calm myself down."
" I can see that. I heard you humming it to the children."
" Did you now?"
" Yup~ I just wanted to ask, if I can use it for them if you're not around?" Syr inquired, looking Into my eyes with her endless calm beautiful gray eyes.
" Sure. Knock yourself out. I'm sure they would love It. Better than my horrible humming of It." I said casually, hiding whatever my emotions can't. Something I'm an expert at. But it seems this new body of mine is barely keeping It together. I guess I'm going to have to train again.
" Thanks~!" She said happily with a beaming smile.
Standing up, I flashed her a slight smile," No problem."
Also getting up, she suddenly said," Oh! I need to get home!"
" Want me to walk you?" I asked seeing her nervous expression.
" Will you?" Hearing me, she asked hopefully, walking to stand right next to me.
" Sure. I can't let someone beautiful as yourself, walk all alone." I said, while inwardly slapping myself for being cringe again.
" Be-bea-beautiful! Me!?" Blushing up a storm, Syr almost yelled out, hiding herself behind her hands.
Chuckling at how cute she is, I gently moved her arms down and said in front of her bright red face," Yes, you~ Who else would I be talking about~? Hmm?"
" I s-see. I'm be-beautiful?" She asked cutely tripping over her words, still a blushing mess.
" Yup~! You.Are.Beautiful.Syr." I said, word-for-word, with a charming smile.
" Th-thanks!" Syr said, as her blush slowly started leaving her, now possessing her beautiful smile on her lips.
" Shall we get going, Milady~?" I asked, smiling.
" Of course, Milord~" She answered with a light giggle, locking arms with me, still possessing a light blush on her face.

Looking at Aric's lonely back blending into the darkness with his beautiful otherworldly white hair, Syr's eyes flashed In an overwhelming manner.
Walking Inside, she was greeted by the owner of the Hostess of Fertility cleaning the counter and her fellow waitress and friends, helping around.
" Friend of yours?" Mia Grand asked, with her eyes following Aric's figure Into the night.
" Something like that," Syr answered with a chuckle and glowing silver-colored eyes.
" Nyan~ I see you made a wonderful friend~ I can just smell It from him, Nyan~ " Chloe Rollo said, with a slight blush face.
" He's mine." Syr suddenly confessed, looking at the black cat with raw emotions In her eyes.
" We will see~ Nyan~"
" No, I declaring he's Mine."
" Nope~"
" Yes."
" Girls, cut it out and get to cleaning!" Hearing Mia Grand yell, both jump up in fright and army saluted.
"" Yes Ma'am!!""
' High Elf,' Ryuu Lion suddenly thought. However, her eyes told a whole different story, flashing with various colors In chaos of emotions.
' White hair. That's never a good sign.' With these thoughts, she joined the others cleaning.

" Honey I'm home~" I yelled, closing my double door, behind me.

" Thanks for the welcoming, glad to be back," I said, walking to the stairs and Into my room, of course after a good look around the shop.
Laying on my bed, I let out a loud tired sigh," It's so tiring to talk to these people, especially those annoying girls."
