Edward squatted down and placed Night's bare feet on his lap. He gently rubbed her foot with one hand while using the other to place a strip of leather on the ground. He then proceeded to place Night's foot over the strip of leather.

After that, using the charcoal, Edward starting making strokes and marks on the leather. Once done with Night, He ordered Daisy to do the same:

"Your feet please."

After the measurement was done, he cut the strips separately and then stuffed the ends of several short strips between several layers of soles.

"Qia, have you seen this clearly? This and this, you have to use needlework to fix these places while cutting along this outline I have drawn. Do you understand?"

Qia saw this kind of thing for the first time and immediately got busy according to the requirements of Edward.

While Qia was doing it, Edward and the rest waited by the side. Edward gave a few pointers from the side. Soon a pair of leather sandals were prepared.

"Night, stretch out your feet!"

Edward squatted again and extended his hands to accept Night's foot.

Night was stunned with this thing Edward called as "shoes". They looked light and it was weird for someone to stuff their feet in one.

As Night placed her foot inside the sandal, Edward used various leather strips to tie the shoe from the top and the ankle area.

After wearing both shoes on the foot, Edward stood up and smiled at Night:

"Night try taking a few steps!"

There were not many words in the mind of Night to describe what she was feeling but the only way to express her joy was by her constant exclamation of "ah!".

It was obvious to Daisy and Qia who were looking from the side that Night was enjoying this a lot which meant that Edward's experiment was a success so both of them were eager to try too.

"Light…Light, I wanna wear the same 'shoes' as Night!" Daisy exclaimed towards Edward.

"Light... my feet feel really..... comfortable, like stepping on a fox." Night was full of smiles while staring at her feet in wonder. This was a feeling she had never felt ever before.

"Daisy, go and get hot water. Didn't I tell you a new thing few days ago? We will use hot water to soak your feet every day and clean them. Now that you both will be using shoes so your feet can remain clean and comfortable this way."

Hearing this, Daisy quickly ran to get some hot water to clean her feet and try it on just like Night. As soon as Daisy left, Edward turned towards Qia and asked her:

"Can you quickly make another pair for Daisy as per the markings I made for her?"

While Qia was busy with making a pair for Daisy, Edward was busy testing out the new shoes with Night. Sometime later, Daisy returned with hot water. First, it was Night's turn to get her foot cleaned.

With a look of regret, Night slipped out of her shoes and dipped her feet in the hot water. As per Edward's instructions, Daisy thoroughly rubbed and cleaned Night's foot.

"It hurts when I step on my feet." Night complained once the cleaning was done.

"The old skin has washed away and so the foot is a little sensitive. It would be alright by morning but I think this should be repeated a few more times. If not for the uneven ground, I would have had really wanted to make high heels for you both." Edward muttered the last part as if speaking to himself.

"High heels?" Night heard from Edward's tone that this seemed to be a good thing and something related to shoes so she was even more excited to try it out.

"No, I don't care if the ground is not flat, I want high heels!" Daisy interjected.

Her two beautiful big eyes wide open and stared at Edward which was slowly melting him away.

He scratched his head and had no choice but to promise for a later date.

"Fine. When I get the time, I'll try to make one."

Meanwhile, Edward was imaging in his head the two girls in front of him wearing a fox fur bra while their lower body was covered in leather underwear along with high heels on their feet as they cat walked on a fashion show like stage.

'Heh….I would enjoy such a fashion show. The theme would be a cave fashion show.'

Thinking like this, a smirk had already formed on Edward's face.
