"But Light ..." Night still had something to say but Edward just smiled and stopped her.

"Night, our new tribe will soon grow stronger so we need more people. These people will be handed over to you. Arrange a woman to take care of Daisy and let the rest of the men go to the swamp to collect clay or firewood. Tell them as long as these tasks are completed, there will be meat for them to eat. Nothing is free. They'll have to work for food."

Daisy lying down beside the fire heard Edward's words. She thought that everyone was going hunting while leaving her behind in the cave. She suddenly, in a hurry raised her weak arms and said with impatience:

"Light...Night sister let me go, I really want to see how you will use a bow and arrow hunt a deer. I am alright. I can even stand."

Sitting next to her, Edward, who had been watching her, touched her forehead and smiled as he comforted her:

"Daisy, you are sick now but when you recover your health, you will definitely get the chance to hunt with the bow and arrow."

The moment he said those words, something felt weird to him. Suddenly realizing the reason, he gave a deep sigh.

'This is the primitive world. If I had a conversation with a girl in the modern world, about hunting and killing or covering herself in the blood of animals, people would call me a crazy hooligan or even a mobster yet it's the norm here. I'll have to adjust myself.'

Arranging Daisy, Edward wrapped the bundle of grass brought by Roc with a small piece of animal skin into a football-sized straw bag, and then tied it with a leather cord.

Outside the cave, Debro and Roc were waiting for him with their bows and arrows.

Edward walked under a tree not far away and tied the ball on to the tree.

Then he stepped back more than 40 meters and said to Debro and Roc who had been behind him:

"Before we hunt, we must first practice archery which is different from throwing your stone spears," he pointed his finger at the tree in front.

"Now, the straw bag is like prey. I will shoot it with an arrow." Edward took a bow and turned his head to teach the two.

"Be sure to see how I did it. The prey is usually very alert. If the target is not clear, then our prey can run away. Animals have better instincts than us. Do you understand?"

The two answered in unison: "Understood, Light brother!"

He then guided them through the essentials,

"The arrow has to be lined up with the prey, and then," Edward's face flushed red, and it took his full strength to pull the bow to 60%, aiming at the target and then releasing the arrow.

The arrow left the bow but it flew in a different direction from the target.

Debro and Roc had a blank expression.

Edward couldn't let shame take over him and immediately followed through another shot.

This time the arrow did not hit the target, but it was only a few meters away from the target.

Edward squinted and said while hiding his shame: "Do you see this? If you shoot like this, then we won't get anything to eat! I am teaching you what not to do with a bow!"

After that, he handed the bow out: "Who of you is coming first?"

The two brothers had already been unable to withstand the excitement and the excitement showed on their faces regarding this new type of weapon. This weapon opened a whole new avenue of possibilities for them.

When they heard Edward's question, they both rushed forward,

"Light... Light brother... I. ...I will come first!" they both said together

Edward handed the bow to Roc.

"Don't argue, let Roc come first! After his trial, you will get your chance. I want you both to practice this."

Roc squinted his eyes, looking at the target set by Edward, and unhurriedly took an arrow. He slowly stretches the bowstring and took aim. Roc felt more like a veteran than Edward did.

Roc pulled the bow at once and released the arrow,

"THWISH!" An arrow flew out!

"WOOSH" the sound of an arrow going through the air.

"THUNK" the sound of an arrow hitting the target.

Edward felt that Roc had a beginner's luck which allowed him to hit his target on his first try.

Roc's face was filled with an excited smile. Obviously, this first arrow inspired him and then he shot his second arrow.

This time only the feathers of the arrow were seen outside of the straw bag!

This surprised Edward!

He quickly ran to the tree and carefully examined the target. The straw bag was pierced with two holes, and the second arrow had gone through the straw bag and was blocked by the tree.

He felt that his brain was a bit messy.
