41 The Seven Sages of Destruction

Damian looked towards where a group of children had gathered, waved his hand, and they all came running up behind him. "Stay calm; I will take care of protecting you."

The children were terrified but still had a strong desire to live, something Damian had noticed, so he smiled confidently.

"Sir, are you a mage?"

"Of course, I will take care of killing that demon." Damian felt two other figures approaching from both sides as he said these words, and deep down, his heart raced at the immense amounts of mana he sensed.

Taking a step forward, Damian took off his jacket and said, "Run all the way to the trees, run without looking back, and no matter what happens, never stop."

"Sir, won't you come with us?"

"Run!!!" Damian removed the black bandages from his eyes, giving the children a fierce look, although they seemed unaware of the imminent danger they were in.

It was then that the children ran, surprising Damian.

"Surprised? We'll kill them once we bother to deal with him; isn't that fascinating?"

Damian's eyes focused on the light-haired demon hidden beneath the hood. It had two long horns curving inward from the back of its head, black sclera, and white eyes, unlike most demons. This demon wore a mask below its nose, concealing its mouth. It wore a long, flowing cape with two metal shoulder pads. Under the outer cape, it wore a darker coat with a hood, accommodating its horns through holes. It was dressed in a light-colored tunic with a series of symbols resembling eyes on its chest. It also wore a necklace with an oval pendant.

"My name is Schlacht. Sorry for visiting you a thousand years earlier than I should, but I must try to kill you now while you're not as strong. I fear that if I don't kill you now, you'll be even harder to kill in the future." Schlacht was clear in his words, directed at Damian, who remained composed.

"You seem to know me." Damian was internally surprised; the demon's words indicated that it knew him a thousand years in the future, implying many things that had not yet happened.

Schlacht's eyes moved towards Damian, who remained expressionless.

Damian was the strongest in the north, something that should be taken into account to advance in human territories and take a large part of the north now that it was under heavy attack.

But Damian didn't know this; right now, there were two more powerful demons besides Schlacht, and he couldn't help but ask, "The Seven Sages of Destruction? If it's them, it seems in very poor taste to see three of you wanting to kill a fifteen-year-old mage."

Damian wouldn't take this lightly, so in just a few seconds, his Divine General and two more figures appeared behind him, roaring powerfully and shaking the earth.

"Have you mastered it so soon? Well, it's not surprising knowing who you are. Schlacht was surprised for a moment before regaining composure in the face of what he was seeing.

"A thousand years in the future, how is it that a human has lived so long? Well, that doesn't matter because you'll die, so it's better to do it now than in the future."

Damian didn't know what the demon was talking about, but he understood perfectly that it was here to kill him because a thousand years in the future, he would be more powerful than he is now.

Upon hearing these words, he immediately knew that, if that were the case, he would definitely find the source of eternal youth.

For this answer, Damian didn't know how to feel about it, but one thing was certain: he needed to get out of this battlefield. To do that, he needed to kill at least two demons who were at his sides.

Damian always felt that this demon hadn't come to leave empty-handed.

Schlacht stared at Damian and then smiled slightly. He raised his hand slightly towards where Damian was, and in a few seconds, a powerful gust of cold wind stirred, and a sword shot out from a shadow.

Knowing there was no turning back, Damian disappeared from his location while his Divine General took care of the vanguard.

Boom!

The ground where the sword struck split in two and continued for at least a kilometer away.

By then, Damian had appeared behind a demon to Schlacht's right, fiercely swinging his sword at his target's stomach.

"I've got you." Damian thought, but at that moment, a rune appeared on the ground, and in less time than he could count, a figure teleported to the side, unleashing a powerful explosive spell.

Boom!

But seeing that the situation was not good, Damian immediately turned into a burst of electric rays and disappeared from the central area of the explosion, only to appear a hundred meters away, but this time with a horrible wound on his right hand.

Schlacht's hand waved moments later, not giving Damian a chance to check the damage he had received.

This time, three powerful attacks were directed at Damian, but with superior speed, he managed to dodge them without any problems.

The Divine General at this moment had entered battle with the nearby demons, showing a fierce look, then opening its mouth and letting out a powerful roar that made everyone on the battlefield tremble and feel dizzy for a moment.

Schlacht was in a very bad mood at not being able to kill Damian, who should have been an easy prey, so this time, using more force than before, he raised his hand towards Damian again.

The speed of the enemy spells was so fast that Damian barely had time to dodge for a few seconds.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

But at the last moment, a sword pierced Damian's right shoulder as he moved like lightning in all directions.

When Schlacht saw Damian in that state, he smiled with satisfaction; now, he felt very excited, something that hadn't happened in years.

"It hurts a bit." Damian looked at his horrible wound on his shoulder but didn't panic; his gaze was directed towards the demon, waiting for his next move.

The next moment, his Divine General reappeared in front of him, preventing other swords from piercing his body, thus defending his main priorities.

The swords pierced the body of the Divine General, but at the same time, the wheel above its head turned once and ended up pulling out the swords without any apparent damage.

Schlacht walked towards where Damian was, looked at the blood flowing from his right hand and shoulder, but still showed no surprise. "Are you the same thunder lord from a thousand years in the future? You look pitiful now."

"It is so pitiful that you were afraid to face me a thousand years later; I wonder what kind of coward you must be to come a thousand years early to face me. You've given up your pride; what a disappointment you must be to the demons." A smile appeared on Damian's lips; his gaze was not at all defeated at this moment.

Schlacht waved his hand, and dozens of dark swords appeared in the clear sky, releasing a powerful magical power. "I'll kill you with this next attack; this is your bad luck for associating with that woman."

But at that moment, hundreds of magical circles appeared around and at that time the earth trembled with an uncommon fury. Giant thunderstorms, like ancestral beasts, descended from the sky with a shocking whistle, crushing the earth where Damian was a few seconds ago, exploding everything, casting the burning debris around and killing hundreds of demons hiding around.

"Storm of divine thunderstorms, one of my three most powerful spells..." Damian murmured as his Divine General covered him with his body.

"Impossible..." Schlacht couldn't believe what he was looking at so he immediately created a magic shield to protect him.

The thunderstorms treaded the earth with a supernatural force, causing the soil and mountains to tremble equally. Each impact is like the blow of a giant hammer, causing everything around him to collapse into an infernal frenetic.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As they advance, a wave of destruction spreads around them, ravaging everything on their way within a ten-kilometre radius. Trees are unrooted, the houses of the village where he was found have collapsed and the ground has been shattered equally.

The sky darkened with stormy clouds and lightning danced on the horizon, briefly illuminating the scene to death.

"I must kill them all..." Damian murmured knowing that if he didn't, he might not be able to do it later.
