The Greatest Mage in the World Has Died.

"She loved this spell." Frieren murmured after creating a huge field of flowers around Flamme's grave, and no one but them was here to bid her farewell.

A simple woman like her didn't need grand ceremonies; no one would mourn her death because she lived as she pleased, perhaps fulfilling all her goals in this way.

Life was very simple, something many could handle in the best possible way.

"If you live a good life, you have a good death; that's what someone who died having a terrible life told me." Damian remembered someone from his past life who ended up dying while robbing a bank.

Frieren didn't respond; she just felt lonely at the moment.

"Well, I guess this is goodbye..."

"What do we do now?" Damian turned to Frieren; she couldn't express how she felt, but he believed she needed some space to process this loss.

Frieren looked at Damian and said, "I'm going home. What are you going to do?"

"Well, I would actually like to go tame a giant green pig to build a cabin on its back, but considering things and knowing that years will pass, I'm going to create a puppet with the same characteristics but controlled by magic." Damian couldn't notice the sadness on Frieren's face, but he noticed the abnormality of her magic.

"Do as you wish."

"Well, see you..." Damian smiled. Indeed, Frieren still didn't consider him a friend.

But still, his plans hadn't changed; with or without Frieren, he would head north to resume the battle against the Demon King and thus expel all the enemies of humanity who had taken too much control over human territory.

As he moved to a secluded spot, Damian suddenly stopped in a small open space. Waving his hand gently, a magic circle was created, formed from mud that filled the entire ground. Suddenly, a huge figure resembling a pig began to take shape, and knowing what he wanted, he made sure it had a massive back where he would later place a cabin.

Undoubtedly, now that he had set his mind on wandering the world, he needed a place to store all his magical books and where he could sleep without worrying about the surroundings or the weather. The most urgent thing was to have Frieren's help, but he needed to give her time to process it.

He didn't know if all this effort would really be worth it, but a bit of companionship was what he had needed all these years. At least someone who wouldn't die as quickly as normal humans.

As he waited in the forest for the trees to grow, Damian remembered all the people he had formed relationships with, and he knew beforehand that his master Dom had died. Adda would be a bit older now, and Syndra would probably be an old woman by now.

"No matter how strong one is in the world, in the end, they'll have to die." Damian looked at the huge mud pig and extended his hand to place different magic runes on it.

It's not that he was bad at creating puppets, but right now, the hours have slipped away from him.

"When do you plan to stop staring at that giant thing you've created?" Frieren looked at Damian in the distance, a bit confused.

"I thought you didn't want to talk." Damian withdrew his gaze from his huge creation, which he had simply called Pig.

The last time Damian lost a loved one, he spent a year in silence, alone and without anyone by his side; that time was truly something he couldn't forget.

Frieren sighed slightly; she wasn't insensitive to what had happened, but her teacher would never forgive her if she lamented her death like normal humans. That's why she preferred to stay silent, but what embarrassed her a bit was that Damian noticed she was worse off than she appeared.

"I'll prepare dinner tonight; I'll cook french fries with a strawberry smoothie." Damian highlighted all his great recipes that he would someday use to create a food franchise.

Frieren approached and asked, "What kind of creature is this?"

Damian's creation was a colossal pig, with ears shaped like "M," just like the fences he had seen elsewhere. Its body was quite round, and its legs were somewhat short. It also had long eyelashes on its small, dark eyes. Its skin was a dark gray, something that contrasted with everything living.

"A giant pig, these are the blueprints I'll use to create a cabin shaped like a hat that will have expanded space inside to accommodate more things." Damian enthusiastically showed off his creation.

"Well, will you move it with magic?"

"That's the plan; this method is something exclusive to my master." Damian nodded, and to demonstrate, he moved his mana, thus covering the extremities of his creation.

Boom!

The earth shook as the giant pig took a step, and then Damian knew the size was incredible enough to scare off smaller creatures.

"Just a few minor adjustments, and I'll have my mobile home ready for the journey. Now, speaking seriously, do you want to travel with me? We'll kill demons, study magic, and save those who deserve it." Damian, this time, spoke seriously; he wouldn't insist again if Frieren refused.

"In fifty years..." Frieren gazed at the starry sky.

Damian was confused. What was she saying right now? "Are we going to travel for fifty years, or in fifty years, will we start traveling?"

"In fifty years, I'll need to visit someone who is now in the north; do you think we can make that stop?" Frieren looked at Damian serenely.

"Of course." Damian smiled slightly, knowing that Frieren had agreed.

What else mattered?
