18 Strange Things Must Be Forgotten

"Guardian, you have no idea how grateful I am that you saved me." Damian got up from the floor a little embarrassed. Although his legs were still a bit weak, he insisted on standing up and looking directly at the man, who was not a living dead but someone who had saved him.

"You foolish child, don't walk around at night in this devil's tower... I once heard that a child was eaten, leaving only his bones. I think your left hand was eaten by the same thing that ate that child." The man's voice seemed soft, but he struggled to make it thick.

"I'm sorry, Guardian; something happened, and suddenly the hours flew by."

"Don't say you've seen me; I don't exist, and I will continue not to exist."

Damian was interrupted by the person in front of him right in the middle of his words.

The bandaged man raised his hand and waved; a breeze approached, and Damian, who felt weak, suddenly felt a surge of vitality flooding his muscles.

When he opened his eyes again, Damian discovered that he was already standing outside the door of Room 604.

He quickly scanned the hallways on both sides; the dim light of the candles danced slightly, and it fell silent.

With no time to think, Damian opened the door and quickly entered the room. "This is more than just strange."

...

The time passed very slowly.

The clock showed that it was past three in the morning, and the hands ticked slowly, giving off a strange feeling in the room.

Damian had been using his breathing method for the rest of the night to recover from fatigue and not fall behind in his training.

This time he wouldn't sleep; he didn't want to because there were things he wanted to do.

The reality is that he's not strong at all; he had been letting that slide, but right now he couldn't. Knowing that strength was everything, he would spend most of his time learning, so that's what he would do in the coming years.

The moments when he's been close to death make him feel stronger each time; he learns many more things, and he knows the ways he could die.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Damian was training when suddenly he heard someone knocking on the door. He opened his eyes and wondered, "Is it morning already, and is Adda looking for me?"

He didn't know, but he still got up, only to find out it was only four in the morning.

Damian didn't want to think too much about who would knock on his door at that hour, but he still approached it more alertly than before.

"Are you going to open the door or not?" The person outside the door couldn't wait any longer and called softly; the voice turned out to be the maid from the other day.

Damian walked to the door and opened it slightly.

Indeed, it was the maid who had brought him the books at that time.

"What are you doing at my door?" Damian, who had been through horrible things, was not phased by the appearance of this woman, who was quite revealing at the moment.

"Sir!" The maid smiled, her face full of sensuality. "I know you're still young, but don't you want to touch?"

As soon as she finished speaking, the maid raised her hand, and her naked skin was revealed, showing something that would leave many speechless.

Damian suddenly took a step back and was about to close the door, but the other party stretched her head, and her face got caught in the door crack, with only her mouth exposed.

"They'll kill me if you don't help me."

"Rest in peace!" Damian slammed the door shut without giving that person a chance to say anything.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Even after a few minutes, the door was still being knocked on, but Damian ignored it and continued training.

"What the hell is happening?" Damian opened his eyes and looked at the clock, which hadn't changed much.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Damian took a candle from the table and approached the door again.

"Who's outside?"

There was silence outside the door.

"I don't need special services!" Damian raised his voice courageously.

"I'm Syndra; open the door."

Damian remained silent behind the door. Who the hell could tell him now if Syndra was the same woman he was familiar with?

But he couldn't stay in the room forever; fleeing from battle was not an option.

When Damian opened the door, he could see a woman in a long dress covered with a black overcoat that covered her entire body.

"Miss Syndra!" Damian immediately realized he was in front of the real Syndra.

Syndra looked at Damian and entered the room without saying a word. She sat on a chair and took off the hood covering her face.

Syndra's rotten face didn't affect Damian, who had seen many strange things a few hours ago.

"Your apprentice life is quite exciting. Does someone want to get in your bed at such a young age?" Syndra crossed one leg over the other, holding her elbow with one hand and her chin with the other, showing a harmonious serenity with each of her movements.

If it weren't for that rotten face, she would actually be more attractive than any other maiden.

"Things in this tower are very strange." Damian closed the door and turned around.

"You should understand your situation now, right?"

"Yes, I must become stronger before thinking about getting with a woman!" Damian's eyes glowed with intense passion.

"I didn't think you were joking." Syndra looked at the subtle magic around Damian that fluctuated and said, "Don't leave your room until you control the mana you compress in your body; if I can see it, I'm afraid many others can too, and that would be bad for your plans."

"How bad does it look?"

Syndra shook her head and said, "It's not very obvious, but only the most experienced can notice it."

"Hmm, I didn't know that." Damian walked to a chair not far from where Syndra was and asked, "How much time do I have before I'm sent to the battlefield?"

"About four years; maybe you can hold it off until four and a half years." Syndra didn't need to explain that they were in an area where they had to kill demons or die.

The demons now with the Demon King were taking a coordinated distribution, which means they would attack more aggressively and with more effective methods to kill humans.

At least Damian knew he would have enough time to become stronger.
