Time Flies and Wealth Works

Sixteen years have elapsed since the passing of the Hero Himmel - Still in the Southern Lands, specifically the City of Boden.

"Can't believe it's been six years since Master Wilhelm came to my estate. My training has continued, and right now I can say that I am an advanced warrior. With swordsmanship alone, I think I can defeat a small-sized dragon, and most definitely if I combine my magic skills alongside it," Conrad, who has grown a lot in the past six years, is walking around the city square, seeming to be searching for something. "My magic control has improved a lot. I don't think even Friend can pinpoint my mana, and my Zoltraak can now destroy four or five trees with no problem, although I still need to find more spells."

Conrad continued to search for something, looking around as he passed by a store. From the reflection on the window, it's clear that not only has he grown in height but has also become much more muscular, much more than any eleven-year-old should be.

"I have created a few spells. While I still lack a full understanding of magic, I think I've figured out that magic is very similar to the code used for computers. It's just the fact that I majored in computer science in college in my past life," Conrad reminisces, filled with flashbacks and memories of his old friends sitting around a table in what seems to be a library.

He smiles a little as he stops, having reached his destination. "So, this is the new magic shop that Ida told me about."

The store looked nothing special, tucked away in an alleyway. The brick building seemed very worn down. Conrad grabbed the old handle and entered the store. The smell of old books and herbs was intense. He looked at the counter and saw an old man with a robe, round clear glasses, and oddly, a wizarding hat. He nodded and walked to the books, searching and finding some rare ones indeed. One spell boosted your speed, "Schneller," and another made small orbs of light appear, "Beleuchtung."

Conrad smiled and walked to the counter. "Mister, can you make me a staff?" he asked.

The old man answered, "Ahh, young master, that is my profession. Do you have a particular staff in mind?"

Conrad replied, "Well, mister, umm, I have a weird request. Can you make my sword into a staff?" He pulled out a sword inside the scabbard. "I would like a magic gem placed on the hilt as well as the scabbard."

The old man replied, "That can be done, although I will say this is quite an odd request. May I ask why?"

At the same time, Conrad pulled a few gold coins out of his pocket.

The old man smiled and grabbed the coins, saying, "It will be done. Please come back in a week."

Conrad smiled as he walked out, whispering, "It's good being rich."
