Joseth's POV

I wake up to a beautiful Saturday morning, stretching on the bed and filling fulfilled, when I hear a smashing coming from downstairs

"Mom" I whisper and run downstairs

"Mom, mom, are you o--" I pause and take in what's going on

"Ooh the brat is here" Shiela, my dad's girlfriend says

I see Lincoln (my dad) talking to my mom and his nasty girlfriend looking at me, I don't reply her but move to my mom and push away my dad

"Mom, are okay" she just nods

"And you Lincoln, what the hell are you doing in our house"

"You little girl, is that how you talk to your father, is this what you're teaching my daughter---"

"Don't you dare talk to my mom like that Mr Lincoln Bridge, and last time I checked I don't have a dad. In case you've forgotten, a father isn't just someone that gives birth to the child but someone who stays and looks after the child, and you've not been here all my life and you come here claiming to be my dad, my mom is my mom and dad, you're just a figure head father". He's shocked at my retort and moves back.

"How dare you talk to Lincoln like that" Shiela says stepping closer

"Oh shut up you tramp, what are you doing here anyway, your mates are in college now and you're here taking someone else's father as your boyfriend, how lowly, no respect for yourself, you're old enough to be his first daughter, cheap thing" I say rolling my eyes and folding my arms.

As she raises her hand to slap me my mom seizes it mid air and slaps her first

"I don't blame you for trying to pull that stunt now, I blame my 'dad' over here, he brought you here that's why you have the guts to even dream of slapping me"

"You've done enough Lincoln,now leave" my mom says in a whisper

Sheila is still nursing her cheek, when Lincoln says "I still need somethings from the store room"

I turn on my heels and run to store room take his 'things' and come back

throwing it in Shiela's face

"Here, have them and get out!!, please Lincoln, leave us alone like you did the first time" I fold my hands and plead, "leave now!!" I push them towards the door and when they're outside "and never come back"

my dad starts to speak "Jo please listen I---" before he finishes I slam the door in their faces
