Chapter 11: Daisy and Wesley

In the bathroom, Daisy took a bath and turned off the shower. She immediately grabbed the towel on the rack and slightly mopped her body with it. Her mind was still in a frenzy, and she had her heart in her mouth all along.

Afterward, she slipped into her dress and took out her phone.

As she stared at the forty-nine missed calls displayed on her phone screen, her heart raced. The thought that things could have gone bad scared her to death. But sooner or later, she would definitely face whatever had happened.

She tapped on it and scrolled through.

Rose had called her over twenty times, about six last night and the rest this morning. Her eyes widened when she saw this. Why would Rose call her so many times repeatedly early in the morning?

Then there was Cindy, her dad, and her kid sis, Violet.

Her heart dropped when she saw Edward had not called her at all.

Did he find out?

Did he catch her?

No, has it got to the news?

Her heart raced more, and her eyes widened.

With trembling fingers, she immediately dialed Rose’s number. Rose picked up almost immediately, like she had her phone in hand and had been desperately waiting for her to call.

“Daisy, where are you? What happened? What the hell happened?”

“Rose, nothing is wrong, right?” her thin lips trembled as she asked half-heartedly.

The other end went silent.

Seeing that, Daisy bit her lips hard to stop herself from wailing. Her left hand flew over her mouth as her eyes widened with more tears that immediately came spilling out.

“There was a sex tape of you in the early hours this morning, Daisy, but it was taken down in less than five minutes. Daisy, I’ll be honest with you, but it caused an impact. It is just better it was posted in the morning, and Finn media had been trying so much to suppress the news from flying around. People said the man isn’t Edward, and some are bringing it up that last night was supposed to be your anniversary. Daisy, the video has been taken down, and in fact, it didn’t last at all but right now, things are bad online.”

Daisy listened, her hand still over her mouth as she tried hard to muffle her sobs.

She could not believe something like that had happened to her.

Her dad had seen that, too, right?

What of Violet?

Oh, Edward definitely saw it seeing he did not call her at all.

She wondered how bad the video was. No matter how fast her industry had taken action, it’s still a really terrible thing.

Daisy shut her eyes painfully as hot tears streamed down her face. She had to hold unto the wall for support.

When Rose heard her sigh heavily, she comforted. “Daisy, where are you now? I’ll come to pick you up. Don’t let people see you for now, okay.”

“As it is, you can’t make a public appearance for now, but it’s going to die down soon, and things will go back to normal. You’ll be fine, baby,” she sympathized, and Daisy nodded tearfully.

“I know you didn’t do it deliberately. You were definitely set up. I trust you.”

When Daisy heard this, more tears spilled from her eyes. She was definitely touched.

At least someone believed her.

She could not help but love her friend more. Rose gave her the strength she needed.

“Thank you for believing me,” Daisy exhaled as she sniffed and wiped her tears. “I’m still at the restaurant from last night. I’m in one of the lounges.”

“Alright, dear,” Rose let out. “Hang in there a little while. I’ll come to get you. We’ll find a way to clean this mess up later. Don’t worry. We are in this together, and I’m right here with you.”

Daisy nodded, feeling content.

Her tears had stopped pouring, but her eyes were red-rimmed. Now she felt more confident and courageous to face whatever would come.

The only thing that scared her now was how she would face Edward again.

How would she get him to forgive her?

No, he had to forgive her as she could not afford to lose him.

Just as the call ended, the door made a clicking sound, and Wesley pushed the door open. Seems like he did not have the heart to let her remain there for long.

“You should get out now. I’ll get someone to drop you off.”

Daisy glared angrily at him in response, and Wesley could not help but raise his brows irritably.

“Are you kidding me? I guess you should just fucking find your square root, but I can’t risk news about me sleeping with an actress flying around like waste papers.”

Daisy scoffed. “Ohh, you can just leave me alone. I already found my square root,” she said through gritted teeth, and Wesley stared at her, feeling amused.

In the end, he chuckled.

“You sure? Okay, I’ll see to that.”

She scoffed angrily once more and looked away. She became even angry with herself, wondering why she thought this guy was so familiar.

Anyways, she also wondered if he had seen or heard about what happened in the morning.

As Wesley stood there staring at her slim figure wrapped in that sexy red dress, he suddenly felt the urge to annoy her. But he soon got back himself and scoffed.

He turned and was going to walk out when he suddenly stopped.

Daisy, who was standing with her head lowered and staring at the tiled floor, suddenly heard him say, “thanks for last night, though. It wasn’t bad at all.”

Daisy’s eyes went wide open, and her head immediately snapped at the pervert standing steps away from her. She could not believe what she had just heard.

‘Is he crazy?’

Seeing the horrid look on her face, a smug appeared on his lips.

His eyes, which were initially on her face, suddenly wandered down to her chest. The wide opening there showed her fair skin. He knew he was behaving like a pervert, and he wondered what was wrong with him. And maybe it’s because he had slept with her that he was acting and behaving so recklessly.

He tore his eyes from that view and looked back at her face with a smirk. Feeling totally satisfied with her reaction, he said, “nice stuffs you’ve got there, though.”

This time, her jaws dropped.

Her face instantly became red in anger and embarrassment.

“What?” Wesley was feeling smug now. “Should we have a quick one? No one would know. And besides, we’ve had sex, so there’s nothing to lose.”

“Get out,” she spat angrily.

Wesley’s face twitched. ‘Who dared ask him to get out?’

In the end, he brushed it off.

Daisy stared angrily at him, having the urge to run at him and attack him.

She seriously wished she could beat the asshole to a pulp.
