**Distance**

You come home often in my dreams,

Cradling me, you pour out streams

Of endless love, a rain so fine,

Drenched in passion, we intertwine.

In moments brief, your arms surround,

Our hearts in sync, a rhythmic sound,

Dhuk - Dhuk , Dhuk - Dhuck , profound!

What melody is this , so new?

This drunkenness your embrace drew ,

With deep breaths taken long and slow,

I live my life in this soft glow.

In my heart, I whisper still ,

Now at last, I merge with you, my will.

Suddenly ! From dreams I wake,

And you from me, and I forsake.

I'm lost, you're found, you're lost, I see,

To bridge this gap, what must we be?

Oh, what must I do, my dear,

To bring you close, to keep you near?
