Lunar Severance Calendar Year 1212 – Outside of the stables~

"What will your parents say, when they find out that you want to leave the kingdom. And with the prince that lost everything no less?" Lord Mavis asked her without mincing words.

"WHO CARES WHAT MY PARENTS SAYS? I DO WHAT I WANT." She said proudly protruding her almost nonexistent breasts.

"This is going to be a headache." Alex exclaimed grudgingly and we all couldn't help but agree while grinning.

Unknowingly there was a smile on all of our faces even though the day was anything but good but at least we found new companions and a new quest to march on.

General POV – Royal Jewel Main Road~

A worn-down carriage can be seen on the royal road, moving very smoothly as if the notion of friction didn't exist. Inside the carriage, there were 3 men and a young lady sitting very comfortably. One handsome young man was sitting on the driver sit attracting quite some attention with his silver blonde hair and red eyes. Not to mention he was wearing armor which just made the whole scene off-beat.

*murmur*

People could be heard murmuring and gossiping seeing this scene. A clear blush formed on the young man's handsome face, earning the giggling of some middle aged housewives.

Inside the carriage, the crimson haired young lady kept on talking in a loud voice.

"THIS CARRIAGE IS AMAZING! IT'S SO SMOOTH! AND WHY IS THERE NO SHAKING?!!" Celine was literally shouting in her excitement. Sir Julian was just sitting there, eyes closed and Lord Mavis was clearly enjoying the ride. While Lucian just looked outside seemingly lost in thought. It was Axel that got angry, at her loud voice and looked inside to shout back, "CAN YOU NOT TALK LIKE A CIVILIZED WOMAN IN FRONT OF HIS HIGHNESS!" he definitely seemed quite pissed at Celine.

"Can you lower your volume little Axel?" Mavis told Axel with a smile, "You just happened to inform the whole street about his majesty being in the carriage." There was a clear vein popping on his smiling face.

'Shit!' Axel quickly realized what he did wrong. "Forgive me my lord, I shouted back at her out of habit." He apologized.

"It's alright boy, just be careful next time and you too little lady, please watch your volume. No need to be so excited." Interjected Sir Julian.

"I wasn't shouting and don't call me little lady." Celine got a bit angry hearing someone calling her little lady and pouted but then just as if that never happened, "But really what is this magic?! Why doesn't the carriage shake? Did you do it 'Hat guy' (Mavis)? I knew you were a stinky mage but this is really fun." She seemed quite happy about the carriage.

'Hat guy…' a clear twitch can be seen on Mavis's lips. Mavis wears a gentleman's black long hat. But him being a gentleman it didn't take him to go back to smiling, "It wasn't me who modified the carriage, little Celine. Well simply to say I can not invoke that level of magic." He smiled while replying.

"What?!" Celine seemed quite confused when she heard it, "Eh! ah... then did you do it 'Gramps'? I didn't know you liked to play like this Hat guy too!" She asked Sir Julian.

"Hahaha, no little lady it wasn't I who did it. And I only know a few body reinforcement magic. And if you want to know who casted the magic then that would be the young lord." Sir Julian replied with a hearty laughter.

"EH!! LUCIAN KNOWS MAGIC?!! Opps." She shouted again but she seemed to realize her mistake and asked in a lower voice which didn't hide her excitement, "I didn't know you could do magic tricks Lucian. When did you learn it?"

"Sigh! You muscle brain... You do know that Lucian is mainly a mage right? The previous lord sage of our kingdom was his mentor after all. And it's common knowledge in the whole kingdom and over some foreign nations as well, that Lucian is a magic prodigy." Axel replied to her question in an exhausted voice.

"Eh! Really?" She seemed quite excited to hear that.

"Not only that my dear girl. He not only casted the magic, the magic he casted is known as <Rune Magic>!" Mavis interjected.

"Oh?! I didn't know you are already at that level young lord." Sir Julian praised.

"Is Rune magic something good?" Celine clearly not knowing what this magic was asked.

"It's the pre-requisite of becoming a sage. If you don't know how to read or create runes you can't become a sage." Replied Sir Julian, then he thought about something seeing Celine's face. "Sage is warrior equivalent of a Legendary Warrior."

"OH!" Seemed she understood after the explanation. "But why did you never use magic in the academy?" She seemed confused.

"You really expect him to use magic in a knight academy?" Axel was getting more annoyed.

"I guess you are right. No wonder I didn't know." She replied cheerily.

'You didn't know because you only think about fighting…' all of them thought this.

*Cheer* *loud noise and people talking*

While they were having the conversation they had already caught the attention of the crowd because of Celine's loud voice earlier. The crowd that knew Lucian was in the carriage started cheering for him. In the lower district Lucian was really famous and adored. He did a lot for his people, made their lives better though many charity work and the use of his magic.

"Why are there so many people cheering?" Celine was having fun hearing the cheers of the crowd. "It feels like they know of my greatness and welcoming me to their city." She seemed very smug about it.

"The cheers aren't for you muscle brain, they are cheering for Lucian." Axel said while driving the carriage. "And I apologize for raising my voice earlier, this commotion is probably my fault."

"It's not your fault Axel." Lucian's kind voice was heard after a long while. He didn't join the conversation before ,that was after all about him. "And it seems they haven't declared the matter to the public yet. That's also good." He was melancholic.

He quickly cheered up and showed them his trademark kind smile, "Don't worry about all this. It shows my father showing his last bit of support towards me by giving me a proper chance to get away from the capital."

He of all people knows, if they had already declared his situation a lot of the lower class people will start rioting. When greed and benefits are all that ties the upper class people, gratitude was one of the rare emotions that lived inside of the lower class. 'And it's also easy to direct the uneducated citizens to follow orders when their emotions are in a mess.'

"Your father made a wise decision, your majesty." Mavis said calmly.

"It's not that he made a wise decision per se... but was allowed to make the decision because no matter how, um! 'Aggressive' my step mother may be. The duke himself is a smart man and even though he hates me, he loves the kingdom from the bottom of his heart." Julian told them.

"He is honorable in a weird way." Mavis mocked in a joking tone.

"Well leaving that aside, what are we to do young lord? What is your plan after we leave the capital?" Sir Julian asked Lucian.

"Please stop addressing me with high honor! I no longer am royalty. Just call me Lucian. And last time I checked I was your student." Lucian looked at the old knight and smiled. He smiled back and nodded gesturing that he agreed.

Lucian then looked towards Mavis who just smiled and said, "No matter what you say I will keep calling you, 'your majesty'. And I won't comply to any commands regarding it."

Lucian could just sigh at this fanatic from the Blackhawk House. "Anyway we are going to Bullmar."

"Why there if I may ask your majesty?" Everyone looked at me, they were all curious. Bullmar was towards the east county and their main destination the Elven Kingdom was down south.

"Well…" Lucian smiled, "First of all it will throw the pursuing spies off-course. And secondly, we need to change our guises so we can blend in and Bullmar is well known for its merchant guild. Not to mention I own a shop there too." Everyone had a thoughtful expression except for Celine of course, "You Own a Clothing Store?! I want to shop!"

"Calm down Celine. You can shop all you want. And third reason is, a lot of my assets are stored there. We can also stock up our supplies there and get a better carriage. Fourth reason being, not even my father knows about that store. I made it secretly when I was 10 with the help of my teacher and a friend. So information about that shop shouldn't be on the hands of any spies." Lucian continued.

"Why did you need to make a business establishment your majesty?" Mavis asked slightly surprised. As the previous crown prince money shouldn't have been a problem for Lucian.

"It's because my step mother interfered with my allowance. After she found out about my magical prowess and my charity work." Lucian replied while looking outside, "That woman sometimes even interfered with my meals. Stopping a little pocket allowance wasn't even ranked top ten on her hateful deeds, haha." He laughed but no one found it funny.

"That BIT-" Celine's mouth was stopped by Mavis. "Little girl we are still inside the capital. Don't cause unnecessary trouble for my King."

*grunting noise*

Celine was trying hard to get out of Mavis's hand. As strong as she was, she was still no match for Mavis. He might be a mage but he was a high ranking noble. All noblemen got knight training as a standard upbringing.

"It's fine Lord Blackhawk. She won't cause trouble; you can let her go. You will behave right?" Julian asked and Celine nodded. Mavis then let go of her.

*gasps*

Celine kept glaring at Mavis and started pouting.

Lucian smiled teasingly seeing this. Then he continued, "Finally, I need to stop an idiot from dying." He smiled looking outside, but this time it wasn't a melancholic smile but an exciting one.

Everyone wondered whom he was thinking of. The carriage kept on moving.

Same day – Alvarez Estate on the Capital General POV~

A beautifully decorated carriage stopped in front of a large mansion. The guards quickly went towards it to welcome the people inside.

"""My lady!!""" All the servants and guards bowed towards a beautiful young lady. She was wearing a stunning orange dress that complimented her beautiful blonde hair.

The young lady walked out of her carriage and nodded a bit returning the greetings. She kept her chin high, which showed her noble status in plain view. She wasn't haughty or arrogant per se but if any commoner saw her they would feel she is some spoiled noble lady for sure.

She started walking straight towards the Lord of the mansions Office. No one stopped her on her path. She was greeted by every servant on the house but the servants were confused. Because even though their young lady didn't show her kind side too much, but she was kind to every servant. She always returned their greetings with a smile.

Today things felt off. For one, the young lady had been away from the estate for more than a month. And she came back with a frown on her pretty face. The guards trained in combat felt a bit of killing intent from her which surprised them greatly.

The lady kept walking till she was right outside the office. She could hear people inside talking and someone shouting from time to time.

"HOW CAN I FUCKING CALM DOWN WHEN THAT IDIOT ON THE THRONE DOES THIS KIND OF SHIT?" shouted a man from inside.

"Please quell your anger my lord. Please calm down." There seemed to be another man inside trying to stop the shouting man.

"Quell my anger? QUELL MY ANGE-" he wanted to shout again but before he could the door to the office opened and a young lady walked in.

"FATHER! I am back." The lady said while entering.

The man sitting behind the desk seemed annoyed at first by the sudden intrusion. But when he saw his beloved daughter walk in, he cooled down instantly.

"Little Lissy! You have returned. Come to your father." He ushered her to come to him.

Yes, the young lady was Lisbeth, the daughter of Marquis Alvarez and also the previous crown prince's cousin. Lisbeth walked to her father then jumped in his embrace and started crying loudly.

Lord Alvarez glanced at his attendants. They got the gist and left the room to give the parent and child some alone time. He gently hugged his daughter trying to comfort her.

He didn't know what to say. He and the King were friends from childhood and he even married the King's older sister. Yet he couldn't understand what his friend was trying to do. What angered him more was his nephew's reaction. Accepting everything as if he got no backbone.

'THAT LITTLE RAT! WHEN I FIND HIM I WILL MINCE HIM INTO SAUSAGES FOR MAKING MY PRINCESS CRY!' but his anger didn't last long. He was one of the few people that knew how smart his nephew was and how hard working he was. When he thought along those lines he started calming down. 'I will ask my attendants what they think about all these when I get the chance. All this brain stuff isn't my cup of tea.'

"Father…" Lisbeth' sad voice could be heard. "Yes princess? What can I do for you?" Lord Alvarez said in a very mild voice that he only used towards his daughter and wife.

"Do something to keep him safe, please..." she looked straight at her father's eyes begging. "Please, don't let him get hurt."

"I promise I will do what I can darling." Lord Alvarez assured her. "Now go take a bath, eat something and rest. You just went through a lot."

She nodded and left.

Lord Alvarez was alone in the room thinking about something, then after a while he seemed to have decided. "Rudart! Get inside."

"What can I do for you my lord?" the attendant bowed.

"Contact Isadora. Tell her I have a job for her." He ordered. Rudart left after getting his order. And Alvarez just looked outside his window staring at the sky.

'This is all the help I can give you... you shitty rascal.'

Heh? Wonder what Isadora will provide the young prince?

Well stay tuned to find out.

Wish everyone a wonderful day as usual!
