3 Chapter 2 : Tour

"So this is where you can buy all of the things related to a adventurer's job. Swords, shields, daggers, throwing kinves, healing potions, and many more which you can find in this side of the town." she said while I kept on following her as she showed me around the town of Heldria.

How did I end up with her? Its all started when I didn't realize that I was staring at her for a long time. It was embarrassing that me a prince is doing something so rude to a girl that I just met. I only got lucky since she brushed it off whule saying she got used to it.

"Do you want to continue touring around the town? I'm still available until tomorrow noon time." she asks that made me realize that we're in front of a busy pub.

"Yeah... Sure... If its okay with you since it looks like I'm taking much of your day off." I said as we enter the pub while looking for a vacant table.

"Its fine with me since I don't like sitting around and do nothing whole day." she said as a pub waitress guided us to a empty table as she hands out the menu. "For someone like you who looks like so easy to fool, its kinda dangerous for you to walk around with a local like me to guide you." she said as I felt something just stabbed my chest after hearing that.

"Its not like I'm easy to fool, this is how I look to others but I'm so hard to agree on something that can get my interest or attention." I said as I rise my hand as a waiter came to our table. "I want to order your best sellers and your best rum to pair it with. Who about you?" I said as I Claire as she just smiled at me that made me confuse.

"Drake, I'll just have the usual as always." she said as the waiter she called Drake scribbles on his notepad as he left our table as soon as he finished writing out orders down.

"Are you a regular here?" I asked since my curiosity hits me that made her laugh while banging the table.

"I actually work here but only on day shift until late afternoon. I got another part-time job after my shift here is done at the guild district that I showed you around." she said still smiling that I can't keep myself stay calm whenever she smiles like that, as if I'll get addicted to it.

"So that's why you're so enthusiastic when you toured my around the guild district." I said as I cover my mouth while trying not to laugh after remembering how she acts while touring me there.

"I'm just happy to know that your been traveling from places to places like an adventurer in a story book or novels." she said as she cuffs her face while she suddenly went to her own dreamy world that made me found it cute in a way or two.

"Here's your order! And stop being dreamy, Claire. Some customers are looking at you, you know the customers at night are not that friendly. The very reason why all pure innocent girls like you got transferred to day shifts, except Lina and Gloria who can put up a fight since they're former adventurers." the guy named Drake said while putting down some of the food we ordered on the table.

"I knoe about it, Drake. But I miss hearing Gloria's and Lina's wild adventure stories of theirs ever since they got transferred to night shift." Claired said while pouting in annoyance that made me laugh to see her acting so childish.

"I'm so sorry if that kinda rude for me to laugh but its kinda cute to see you pouting like that after being told to behave properly." I teased that made her kick my leg at made me jolt on my seat.

"So mean, Jamie!" she said still pouting which still made me laugh even more.

I still laugh at her whenever she gets too excited that made her look like a child who is excited to go on a trip. I don't find it something so rude in front of the table while eating, but its making every bite of our food delicious than the food at the palace. Everyone of us doesn't do anything so rowdy in front of the dinning table since they always say that royalty should behave properly wherever they go and whoever they are with.

The rest of the evening was pleasant while having someone who treats you the way that I wanted to be treated like a normal person. Not some prince that they need to sugarcoat everything they say just to earn some favors from me. Its making me sick whenever I tried to pretend to be interested in whatever topic they open up as a conversation.

"Hey! Jamie? You suddenly spaced out, you know. Is everything alright?" Claire asks that made me realize that I was so deep in thoughts while thinking about my life inside of the palace as the prince.

"Yeah! Everything's alright thou." I said as I scratches the back of my neck whipe laughing nervously.

"We can go tour around the southern part of the town where all the magic gems are being display to sell it of. Every adventurers go to that place just to sell the gemd they got from every raids." she explains while trying not to look so excited about it, which made me smile to see how eager she is to go out of her way just to give me a little tour around the town.

"Do you even know where to spend the night? You knew that I just run away from home, right?" I asks before she suddenly kept on talking about how exciting s the life of an adventurer could be.

"Yes! I knew a place where you can spend the rest of the night. Its close to this pub which has a walking distance of 10 mins or so, since the numbers of the adventurers suddenly went up after the kingdom announced a raid in one of the dungeons that the kingdom has." she said as she tries to forget something traumatic.

"Thanks for everything, Claire." I said as I smiled at her that made her calm down and smiles back at me.

The rest of the night was fun and lively until its getting late as we decided to call it for the night.

"I still need to test that spell out once I got the magic stone that they said to be perfect to use together with that spell." I said to myself as I open the door of my room in one of the best inns in Heldria.

I hope I can still stay longer in this town before they could finally find me. I don't like the idea of some royal knights dragging me back to the palace once they found me.
