Lay Beside Me

It was raining heavily in the night, Enzo was still up in his study working when a knock came at the door.

"Enzo are you in there?" he stood up hearing Bella's voice.

The door opened, "Yeah " he answered meeting her gaze.

She was standing in the door wrapped in a shroud, messy hair and puffy eyes.

"You okay " he moved closer to her. Bella looked up hitting her lower lip, "No am not " she let out.

Enzo frowned, "What's wrong Bella?"

"I can't sleep " she let out. The sound of thunder echoed through the house and Bella flinched closer to Enzo.

"Is it the rain?" he asked gently pulling her into his arms.

"Mmm," she sounded.

Before he could speak it happened again and Bella instantly slid her hands to hold his waist. Enzo smiled feeling her body tightly hug his.

"I can keep you company until you sleep, is that alright?" he said.

"Mmm, thanks " she replied. But she didn't move and he wondered how they would get to her room.
