Chapter 46: A Father's Decision

As Mr. Roberts paced back and forth in his office, the weight of his daughter Mirabel's actions bore heavily on his shoulders. He couldn't believe that her thoughtless actions at the beach could jeopardize the future of his company. The walls seemed to close in on him as he contemplated his next steps.

Mirabel, still nursing the stinging sensation on her cheek from her father's slap, watched him with a mix of guilt and concern. She hadn't anticipated that what she did at the beach would lead to such dire consequences.

"Dad," Mirabel began hesitantly, "I didn't know… I mean, I had no idea..."

Mr. Roberts cut her off with an exasperated sigh. "It doesn't matter what you knew or didn't know, Mirabel. Your actions have put us in a precarious position, and we need to figure out how to salvage our company's reputation."

He took a deep breath, his mind racing for a solution. "First, we need to issue a public apology to Emily Hertz and Ethan Sterling. We need to make it clear that this was a misunderstanding and that we deeply regret any harm caused."

Mirabel nodded, understanding the severity of the situation. "I'll draft the apology right away, Dad."

Mr. Roberts continued, "Next, we'll need to offer them a substantial compensation for the distress they've been put through. Ethan Sterling is not someone we want as an enemy, and I don't want to risk any action from Ethan against our company."

Mirabel understood the urgency in her father's voice. "I'll contact our team members to arrange that, Dad."

Mr. Roberts finally stopped pacing and turned to face his daughter. "Mirabel, I hope you've learned a valuable lesson from this. Our actions can have far-reaching consequences, and we must always be careful and considerate in our dealings." and Also I want everything done by tonight so tomorrow we are presenting the apology and compensation because I heard that Ethan sterling is opening an orphanage tomorrow

Mirabel nodded solemnly, guilt still weighing heavily on her. "I promise, Dad, I'll be more cautious from now on, let me go and get everything ready."

Mr Roberts slumped on his chair still in thought as he said to himself I hope he accepts our apologies he sighed
