1 The Accusations

Several years ago, I was accused of many large-scale felonies that I did not commit. The person who really committed the felonies remains a mystery and my life's purpose is to unveil the said mystery.

"Mrs. Darla. You are aware that the felonies you have been accused of can mark you for the death penalty, yes?" The Judge asked.

"For the last time, I did not commit these crimes!" Darla shouted.

"Even if I did commit these said crimes, you have no evidence to prove it was me anyways," Darla added.

"We found strands of your hair at the crime scene, Darla. We evaluated the DNA from the hair, and it matched yours," the Judge remarked.

"You know what, there is absolutely no point in defending myself when even the dumbest of humanity cannot take my word over planted evidence," Darla retorted.

"Is this you pleading guilty?" the Judge asked calmly.

"Yes, Your Honor. I plead guilty to crimes I did not commit," Darla stated, holding her hands out.

The Judge eyed one of the police officers. A police officer walks over to Darla and puts her in cuffs.

"Darla J. Valencia, you are being arrested for committing several felonies, which include robbing a federal bank, making threats to a government official, and many others that would be inappropriate to list in this courtroom. I sentence you to death by Radioactive Island. It will be a quick, easy, and painless death. We only send the most vicious of criminals there to die-" The Judge stated before being interrupted.

"Are you done talking or are you just going to keep rambling?" Darla asked impatiently while interrupting the Judge.

The Judge's face turns red with anger and embarrassment.

"Get her out of my courtroom! I do not want to see this horrid criminal in my presence again!" The Judge exclaimed with a booming voice.

Darla laughs and is escorted out of the courtroom and into a police car. The officer begins driving away from the court and to Darla's certain death.

"Where exactly is Radioactive Island anyway?" Darla asked the officer.

"It's in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. A toxic place where no one survives and if you did, you would most likely have cancers beyond humankind," The officer replied.

"I did not think you would actually respond considering you are not even allowed to speak to me," Darla stated.

The car stops as Darla looks out of the car's window. An enormous metal ship is seen as Darla's jaw drops.

"Damn, I did not know I was going on a luxury cruise! Is this the court's apology for accusing me of something I did not do?!" Darla asked excitedly.

"No. The ship is made of a metal alloy that decays when in the presence of highly radioactive elements. All in all, the ship will decay more and more as you get closer to the island. It is safe to say that you will not survive this, Darla," The officer said in a stern voice.

"Way to kill the mood, bigshot," Darla remarked.

The officer takes Darla out of the car and escorts her into the ship. They walk through the ship and as they inch closer to the cabin, Darla begins questioning her choice.

"Close to the cabin, huh? I sense special treatment slash fan behavior," Darla stated mockingly.

The officer opens the door and Darla is gently pushed inside. Darla's gaze falls upon two teenagers in the room and their gaze meets hers.

"You two look a little young to be in prison. Are you two like one of those really short criminals that age really well?" Darla asked.

"No, we are both 18," The boy said.

"Shut up, London! Do not tell this strange woman our ages! She could like steal our social security numbers or something, I don't know!" The girl exclaimed.

"You cannot be this dumb, Galaxy. I am certain you cannot steal someone's SSN by verbally stating your age," London remarked.

"Anyways, your maroon hair is very pretty! It really compliments your red and green eyes!" Galaxy complimented.

"Well, strange woman, are you going to tell us your name or are we just going to name you strange woman?" London asked sarcastically.

"My name is Darla. I got here because I was accused of a bunch of BS that I did not commit," Darla stated, clearly agitated.

"My brother and I are test subjects. The government wanted to see if the radioactive elements would react differently to a younger audience so the government paid our parents millions of dollars to take us away and here we are," Galaxy disclosed.

"How about we describe ourselves and one interesting thing about us before we die?" Darla suggested.

"I'll start. My name is London and I have short black hair and brown eyes. I really like stuffed animals despite being 18, but there is nothing wrong with liking stuffed animals at any age," London said.

"Oh, me next! My name is Galaxy and I have long blonde hair and green eyes. I love fighting and crystals," Galaxy told.

"I guess I am last. My name is Darla and I have long maroon hair and I have one green eye and one red eye. I love cosmetics and being sassy," Darla snickered.

"That actually distracted me from certain death for a moment," London said surprised.

"I do have a plan to break out of this room and get into the cabin," Darla said with a thoughtful face.

"How so? You just got here and it's not like you have the blueprints to the ship or something," London said, visibly confused.

"You are right, I do not have the blueprints to the ship. I do, however, know that the combination lock outside is electric. If I can break through the wall and short-circuit the lock, I may be able to break us out of here and kill the lock to the cabin," Darla said, disclosing her plan.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Get to breaking the wall already so we can get out of here, Darla!" Galaxy exclaimed in a slightly louder tone.
