when online meets real life.

I had waited for days, even months just waiting for any sign that I had gotten accepted to Foxends school for the gifted. Every mailbox walk every package grab was anticipated, waiting for a sign. Until one early morning, on a peach colored sunrise , waking up to the sounds of birds and the smell of freshly cooked pancakes, my mother walked in with an envelope. Sealed with a signature wax stamp and written beautifully clean cursive in red ink.

"congratulations sweet girl!" my mother shouted with joy, it was still too early to process what was happening but after opening the letter my brain came out of its fog only to celebrate what I had read.

"Dear Kore,

"You have been accepted into foxends school for the gifted, you have outstanding grade marks and perfect behavior. We look forward to seeing you at the school, dorms are available and to get to the school go to the parks fountain and drop this letter in.

signed- Leon Link the principal"

My mother and I were so excited since she had already gotten a teacher's dorm we just packed necessities and waited until nightfall.

When it was finally night we left , my mother driving her car and I walking to the parks fountain. "Whos there!?" a feminine voice gently called out, all I could see were golden glowing eyes peering from atop a tree. After carfully observing me the figure jumped down, "I know you!, your from the group! and your just like me , a special!" stepping into the light I found out. She was also one of my online friends.
