Chapter 20 Departure.
I stood slowly up, and Mia did the same and stood behind me holding Anabel… Vicki noticed us standing there looking around and walked over looking puzzled at me hushing her…
"quietly get everyone onboard the boat and fly silently up into the air…" I whispered to her in the most quiet voice I could make and was still able to hear me…
She nodded to me with a serious face and walked towards the other giving a signal to the other Archangels that made them jump silently up and took a defence formation around them. Everybody looked confused and a little scared around at the Archangels drawing there swords with firm faces as they stood in a big circle around us…
Charles came walking over with April holding his hand… and looked at me and Mia standing there looking around… I made a hush sign to him and pointed at the trees… his face paled as he looked at me and nodded without saying a word…
I handed over Anabel to him and gently pushed Mia towards April… April nodded to me and grabbed a hold on Mia, and they started going towards the boat…
I cycled true my visions and when I came to infrared I noticed a heat signal standing in the middle of the group looking towards Mia and April… the world slowed down as I tightened every muscle in my body and dashed at full speed between the creature and Mia…
-Crack-
The cracking sound of my body blasting true the air sounded as I stopped and looked towards the beast that tilted it's head at me… is it intelligent… might as well try… I glanced and saw everyone had stopped moving and was looking at me confused but terrified… I turned back to the beast and changed my vision on my left eye back to normal… it was like it was not there… camouflage… I fixed my posture since the animal did not move and was looking directly at me…
"I am sorry if we walked into your territory. We did not know you owned this land, and we will leave peacefully if you allow us?" I spoke looking at the empty air in front of me…
"you can speak with animal tongue?" a voice sounded out in the air…
"yes. I am blessed by Mamma Nature and have been given the right to speak with every living being on this world…" I explained to the beast…
"who are you talking to?" Vicki came walking slowly over to me and was looking in front of me…
A large black panther decloaked in front of me sitting on the ground looking at me… Vicki dashed forward, and the panther started to growl in a low voice at her… but I manage to grab the neck of her Armor and held her up in the air like a piece of cloth… she looked stunned at me holding her with one hand…
"Valkyrie! Don't interrupt… it is not a darkness beast…" I scolded her and in a loud voice as I put her down…
She was covering her ears as I did not control my voice in the heat of the moment… I looked stunned at her but glanced quickly around to see that everyone had covered there ears at me yelling… even the big panther had turned his head sideways and put a paw at his ears… there was thin line of blood running down from one of his ears…
I walked slowly over holding my arms to the side of my body… the panther looked at me terrified but did not move… I could see it was flinched a little as I slowly moved my hand up towards it… I cast heal on it and repaired the ruptured eardrum before I took a step back…
"sorry about that…" I smiled a little awkward at the panther looking stunned at me…
It looked over at Vicki and gazed around at the other Archangels holding there blades towards it… I held up my hand and looked at them firmly… they sheeted there weapons but did not move…
The panther looked back at me before sitting back down on its back legs and lowered it's head…
"thy seek to kill me like the darkness beast have… I will not resist…" the panther spoke out to me…
"eh… did you not hear me before… I am working for Mother Nature to get rid of the darkness from this world… I will not go butchering it's normal occupants." I stated at the panther that lifted his head and looked at me…
"is that why you smell like family…" the panther sniffed at me…
"eh… I smell like family… anyway why did you sneak up on us?" I looked confused at him and asked…
"I was asleep when I smelled food… and when I opened my eyes you were already sitting around me eating…" the panther laid down on the grass…
I looked stunned at him but turned to the others and told them to stand down as I sat down on the grass in front of him and took out a new bento box… I open the lid and saw his nose twitch at the smell… I giggled a little and used the chopsticks and held out a piece of fried fish…
"if I have known you were here I would have shared my meal with you…" I giggle and stretch out the fish to him…
Mia came walking slowly over and sat down behind me looking at the panther… the panther looked warry of her but once it sniffed the air it calmed down again and gently took the fish and eat it…
"this is my mate Mia… she also don't mean you no harm…" I smiled at the panther…
"she smell the same as you, so I figured it was your mate…" the panther spoke…
"I am his wife… not mate." Mia pouted at the panther…
both me and the panther looked at her pouting at the panther…
"mate as in mating partner to bear his children…" the panther explained to her…
"ah… yes um… We call it wife." Mia blushed at him…
"you can understand him to?" I asked Mia…
"well yes… he is speaking our language… why would I not be able to understand him?" Mia looked confused at me…
"I am speaking animal tongue…" the panther tilted his head at her confused…
I explained that it was probably because Mamma Nature engaged us that she could speak with him… the panther explained that it was driven away from its forest at the south as it had to flee when the darkness beast invaded the land killing his pack… he told us that he had been killing smaller packs of beast trying to get revenge… Mia felt sad for him and straight up hugged him…
the panther looked stunned at me and I had to explain that she was a hugger… I had to explain what a hugger was when he looked even more confused at me… I introduced the Archangels and the rest of my pack to him. the Archangels and Mia was the only one that could understand him… when the twins came behind me and peeked at him he laid down his head to not look so frightening… I put them on my lap and introduced them to him…
Mom was looking nervus at me having the twins on the lap in front of the big beast, and I had to explain that it was friendly and would not attack… she still was not satisfied so I took out a mono stone and created a translator spell and shaped it into a neckless… I put it around the panthers neck and asked him to focus his voice true the neckless…
"I am sorry if I scare you… I promise that I will not harm you or your children…" the panther voice sounded from the neckless…
"just wait until Kelly finds out about this…" Mia smirked at me…
"eh… I think I have enuf to deal with right now…" I giggled to her…
"how is it that you can be so relaxed and safe with the darkness in this world?" the panther asked looking around…
I saw each and everyone started to point at me… eh… sure I have declared war against the darkness and everything… but it is a joint effort that we are safe… I would feel this safe unless I have guards and people I trust around me… right?
"do you mind if I join your pack? It been so long since I was able to talk to anyone and I swear I will not hurt your kind and I can gather food myself…" the panther looked at me and asked…
"I am going to war soon to annihilate every last darkness animal so there will not be much safe place around me…" I explained to him…
"I will help you kill the darkness… I have a personal grudge against them since they killed my pack…" the panther looked at me growling a little…
Everybody turned silent and looked at me with big eyes… I felt Mia's eyes the most as she squeezed my hand smiling at me… I felt my head started to hurt from thinking about the diet of a panther and maintenance of the fur and all other chores with owning a cat would entail…
"I am not…" I got cut off by Mia…
"please… he is all alone and lost his family…" Mia said making a sad face at me…
"he is not a cat… and he is asking to follow onboard the battleship so you will not be able to pet him even if he joins our pack…" I explained to Mia…
"but he will scare off other girls approaching you…" Mia smiled a little evil…
"yes. I can do that as well…" the panther tried to smile like Mia did at me…
"ugh… fine I give up…" I sighed out loud making everybody laugh at me…
"it is your fault that she is this jealous… isn't it?" I looked over and saw Mom trying to hide her giggling…
"I don't want my son to be know as a ladies man…" mom lifted her nose arrogantly and pouted in the air…
"do you have a name? I feel that calling you panther is just to much of a hazzle..." I asked the panther…
"no but you can give me one?" the panther looked at me with big eyes…
"eh… how about… um… Felix?" I asked him…
"I like it… it feels like the name was hidden in my soul…" Felix said waging his tail gently side to side…
"okey Felix it is then…" I smiled to him…
Right as I said it I felt a feeling in my soul and closed my eyes… I hovered over to a light shining under the two rings that was intertwined and saw a shape of a black panther form underneath… as I looked at the image of the panther I felt a connection to Felix mind and felt a strong feeling of loneliness that was starting to fade slowly away…
When the feeling disappeared, I heard the sound of a bell ding out from the panther shape of Felix… did I just contract an animal… eh… I turned towards my Orb and entered…
"congratulation…" Mamma smiled at me as I hovered down on the floor…
She stretched out her hand and Felix appaired in front of her looking confused around… she bent down and pat him on the head smiling at him…
"you found the mythical beast and even manage to make a contract with him…" Mamma smiled to me…
"eh… what is going on?" I asked her looking confused…
"remember that I told you about the challenges we gods have on our planets… well each world have at least one mythical beast like Felix… the challenges were two parts… one you had to find it… and the rare one was that you have to make a contract with it…" she giggled to me…
"so, I guess that your status as a goddess just got improved?" I asked confused…
"yes. But the reward for the one that manage to do both tasks is a longer life…" Mamma giggled and smiled to me…
"no…" I said looking straight at her…
"hu? But why?" she looked confused at me…
"I will not live a long life and watch my family die of one by one… I have learned enuf from manga that it is a cursed life… so I refuse!" I looked firmly at her…
She smiled even more at me as the sound of the same bell sounded out and giggled to me as she jumped up and down like a little kid…
Felix walked behind me looking a little scared at her as I stood looking at her firmly with my hands crossed… Mamma calmed down and hovered over and hugged me with a big smile… she lifted me up like a little child and put me down at the chair…
"there you go and make me proud again…" Mamma smiled at me…
"eh… what did I do now?" I asked shocked…
A portal opened up inside my Orb and the skinny god came walking out smiling at her…
She did a bow towards him and stretched out her hand at me… the skinny god walked up to me and looked me up and down…
"you again… I must say I am surprised that you manage to figure out the life challenges…" the god smiled at me and said…
"I already told her that I don't want the curse of long life…" I looked at him and explained…
"oh… you haven't told him yet?" the skinny god giggled at Mamma Nature…
"no… time is slowed town inside the soul orbs remember?" Mamma giggled to him…
"ah… yes. I forgot to check the world I walked into…" the skinny god giggled at her…
"Austin this is the god Death… despite his name he is really kind…" Mamma looked at me firmly and introduced us…
"um… hello Death… I am Austin…" I smiled a little awkward at him…
"do you mind if I explain to him? I really don't get any chance to do this sort of things…" Death asked and looked at Mamma…
"it would be my honour…" Mamma giggled at him…
"so… um… forgive me but it have been over tree expansions since I have done this…" Death smiled at me… I just looked over at Mamma confused…
"he means the universe have died three times…" Mamma whispered to me and winked at me…
"t…thank you… um… so the condition of this challenge is that the one offered immortal life refuse it whole heartly without hesitation, there was a lot of factors like considering family and all that boring stuff… but the reward is eternal life for you and your family... and yes that includes the one you consider family as well… it is a bit technical but you can die if you want too… and visit other worlds by being reborn again with your memories intact… you and your family will not lose your immortality doing this and you can do it as many times as you want… I will let you prosses the information and if you have questions just talk to Mother okey..." Death smiled at me and tapped his finger at my head…
I just looked stunned as he walked away saying thanks to Mamma for the fun opportunity before waving goodbye and left true the portal…
Felix walked up to me and placed his head on my lap looking as confused as I am… Mamma walked back to us after the portal closed and sat down at the desk smiling at us…
"so… me and my family is now immortal?" I asked her after gathering my thoughts for a while…
"yep… that include Felix and your Archangels…" she smiled at me…
"b…but I promised Mia a child when I came back from war…" I looked at her sad…
"I know you are thinking that immortals cannot have children… but that is just plots from the manga's you have read… and if the child have the pure soul like you it will also gain immortality…" she smiled at me…
"what about plots and twist coming my way?" I ask her still in shock…
"nothing can kill you unless you want to die… and even then you will be reborn in the same world if you like…" Mamma smiled at me…
"that's… nice." I smiled awkward at her…
She said she would go and brag to the other gods and let me have time to prosses what have happened... she gave me a hug and held my cheeks smiling at me… she kissed my forehead and disappeared…
I sat there for a long-time cuddling Felix on the head wrapping my head around the immortal part of what have happened… I looked down at Felix head purring in my lap…
"did you know about this?" I looked at him and asked…
"no… I only knew I was a rare animal… I had no idea I was a mythical beast." Felix looked up at me…
"let's go back… I think I have to explain this to the rest of them…" I sighed and stood up…
"we could wait to tell them…" Felix saw that I was conflicted about it…
"no… it is better to tell them straight away… if something happens and they don't die they probably be scared out of there mind…" I patted his head and smiled as we exit the Orb…
Once we exit the orb I saw everyone was looking at me smiling a little worried… right… I probably sat inside my orb for hours, so I have been quiet for a couple of minutes… I looked at Mia that was pouting at me…
"stop ignoring me…" Mia leaned closer to me and pouted more…
"sweetheart… We have to talk…" I smiled gently to her and spoke…
Her reaction was not what I expected because tears fell down her cheeks as she slapped me across the face… I was so baffled that it didn't hurt and the fact that I actually worded that out a little to wrong… everybody was looking at me in shock… and mom was holding her hands over her mouth…
"I am not breaking up with you!" I grabbed Mia's hand and looked at her firmly…
"Hahaha… I bet the gods are laughing out of there chair right now…" Felix Laughed out loud holding his paw over his face…
"I wonder if anyone of them have been true this…" I looked at Felix smiling awkward…
A tiny portal opened, and a note flew out and landed at my lap… everybody looked stunned as the little portal disappeared… I took the note and read it "No. you are the first…"
"they say no. I am the first…" I looked at Felix and spoke as I showed him the note…
Felix started to laugh uncontrollably as he slammed his paw up and down on the grass… everybody looked at stunned…
"you're not breaking up with me…" Mia looked at me worried…
"no. was going to ease into this but now there is no point… your immortal…" I giggle at her…
"but we are still good? Even if I slapped you…" Mia looked at my cheek…
I smiled at her and leaned in and gave her a long kiss to ease her mind that I was not mad at her… as I sat back down she was looking at me with dazed eyes…
I fixed my posture and explained to everyone what have happened… since the gods did not tell me to hide the truth from them I reviled everything that have happened… Mom fell slowly down to her knees… and everybody else looked stunned as I explained… I told them to keep it a secret from anyone else since it would only draw attention to us, and I explained that if they started to do evil stuff I would lock them up myself…
They didn't seem to believe me, so I walked to the side and nodded to Felix… ugh… this is probably going to hurt… Felix stood up and walked next to me looking worried… I nodded to him and he raised his paw and extended his claws and ripped true my throat… I felt his nails slice straight true my neck… and as I looked down I noticed that there was no blood pumping out… I felt my neck and it was back to normal…
Felix looked at me like he had missed but I pointed down at his claws that had blood dripping from them… he nodded and wiped his paw at the grass smiling happy… I looked back at the others that looked horrified at us… Mia ran up to me with tears in her eyes checking my neck…
Once she was sure I was okey she turned towards Felix… I knew what was coming so I held her waist as she tried to smack the living soul out of him cursing angry at him… I manage to calm her down after a while explaining that I told him to do it… Felix laid flat on the ground afraid of her… yep she was scarry when she was angry…
I held her hand as I walked back to the picnic and sat down pulling out more bento boxes… everybody gathered around as we shared the once that were left… I feed Felix some more fish… everybody was quiet… Anabel walked over and sat down on my lap looking up at me a little worried…
"even if there are plots they cannot kill you…" I smiled down at her…
"but we can still be trapped…" Anabel looked up...
"eh… yes. Hence my rule to keep it quiet until I find a way to avoid that… and if anyone of us is missing we must search until they are found…" I looked at them…
Everybody nodded smiling at us… we eat the rest of the food and packed up and boarded the sailboat… Felix was not so keen on the idea of flying but he jumped on after I reminded him that he was immortal now…
I was about to take the helm but Charles said he could steer the boat so I could show Felix around… I thanked him and walked downstairs… I glanced back and saw him smiling as he started flying the ship… I guess he just wanted to fly the ship again… I showed Felix around the ship starting with the storage room on the right and worked my way backward and at last I showed him the master bedroom… Mia was laying down on the bed looking at her phone…
She smiled at me as we walked inside… I sat down at the edge of the bed and gestured Felix to jump on… he jumped up and walked around a little before sitting down and patted his paw at the soft blanket… before laying his head down looking around with tired eyes…
"you can rest up if you want… I can wake you up when we get to the city…" I smiled at him as he closed his eyes at my words…
"I cannot believe you made us immortal…" Mia looked at me stunned…
"we still need to be careful… I know that we are immortal but there are many ways that it can be broken…" I explained to her…
"broken?" Mia looked at me worried…
"yes. If we anger the gods or if someone have an ultimate killing weapon… there is a lot of ways that we can die or become mortal again… but for now we have an edge over the darkness…" I smiled at her…
"you want me to come with you since I am immortal?" Mia asked me…
"no. I don't want you to see the horrible things…" I said and looked down on the bed ashamed…
"is it that bad?" Mia sat up and hold my hand…
"you know the deer video… I made Angel change them to look like deer…" I said whispering to her in a low voice…
"they were people?" she whispered back covering her mouth…
I nodded to her looking down on the blanket… she leaned over and put her hands around me and stroke my back to comfort me…
"beside I want you to build on the patent law and if you can organize a guild building too…" I look at her with a little smile…
"but I don't know much about that stuff… have watched some anime to know that they exist but I haven't studied them…" Mia explained.
"just ask Anabel about it… I am sure she knows how they work." I giggle to her…
"okey… and you make sure no one but my sister Vicki get close to him…" Mia turned around and looked at Felix…
"you know that he refused immortality because of you… you should give him some more trust…" Felix opened one eye and glanced over at Mia…
Mia looked back at me stunned with big eyes before she grabbed my Armor and pulled me inn and kissed me… I actually had to force her back, but she just pulled me after her as she fell down…
"you know everyone can see you princess…" Tom's voice sounded behind me…
Mia stopped and looked at the door… I turned as I was out of breath and saw Mom giving her a thumps up smiling at us… my mother is going to be the death of me… eh… right immortal… I felt Mia let go off me and I sat back up… fixing my cloths…
"thank you Tom…" Mia's muffled voice sounded as she was covering her red face…
"we should be almost at home so even if I close this door I will probably be back in less then five minutes or less…" Tom said giggling to me…
"thank you tom." I said smiling at him as he closed the door…
"why does everyone have to interrupt us…" Mia asked as she put down her hands…
"I made you a pinkie promise… and I am immortal, so you don't have worry about me dying on you…" I explained to her a little worried she would jump at me again…
"you know my mind is 31 years old and you honestly think babies is all I think of?" Mia looked at me firmly…
"eh… no…" I looked confused at her…
"well, being in this hormonal body is not helping my situation either." Mia sat up and sighed to me out of frustration…
"are you saying what I think your saying?" I looked at her stunned…
"yes. If you haven't gotten your head around it and I must spell it out for you. Yes." Mia looked at me irritated…
"okey… give me a hug…" I giggle to her…
She rolled her eyes and put her hands around me… as I put my arms around her I said to her that she must not scream as I charged my hands with bioelectric current. She looked at me confused as she rested her head on my shoulder… I placed my hands gently on her back… her eyes opened wide as she looked at me… she turned her head to my shoulder and bite down hard before she collapsed in my arms…
She lifted her head back up on my shoulder and bite more gently down… I charged my hands again and placed them gently on her hip… I felt she bite down on my shoulder again and I am fairly sure her teeth punctured my skin… Mia fell slowly down sideways on the bed… I reached my hand down to her to check if she was okey… she shake her head to not touch her as she smiled at me…
"did you electrocute her?" Felix looked at Mia laying there collapsed at my side…
"in a way yes…" I giggle to him…
"is she still alive?" Felix looked conserved at Mia…
Mia raised her hand up giving him a thumbs up as she smiled at me… I giggle at her and gently took her hand and helped her up… she smiled at me and kissed my cheek before trying to stand up… she looked at and I helped her get out of bed and helped her walk over to the bathroom sink… she looked in the mirror and turned to my shoulder and looked where she bitten me… I smirked at her and put my arms around her…
I charged a little bioelectricity in my lips as I moved slowly towards her… she giggled and tried to avoid me but sighed at me before kissing me… when I ran my fingers true her hair I felt her knees gave inn and I had to hold her up with my other hand as I held her head while I kissed her…
I heard she tried to speak as she grabbed her hands around me and kissed firmly before she relaxed in my arms again… she smiled up at me and giggled softly as she held on to the sink and pushed me away and pointed at the door…
I giggled to her and walked out closing the door behind me… I walked over to the bed and sat down… waiting for her to come out… I heard knocking on the door and said enter… Tom opened the door gently before walking in looking confused around…
"she is in the bathroom… I am guessing we are almost at the city?" I asked Tom…
"yes. We are approaching the city wall right now… should I close the door?" Tom looked at me concerned…
"no. it's fine…" I said as Mia walked out of the bathroom…
"are you okey?" Tom asked her as she was walking a little unsteady with a wet face…
"y…yes. Just a little motion sickness…" Mia smiled at him in a daze as she walked over to me and sat down resting her head on my shoulder…
"you might want to cover up your wound… they are well known…" Tom smirked at me before walking out…
I looked at the distinct bite marks with blood on my shoulder… I tucked the bite mark under my Armor and looked at Mia blushing at me…
"t…thank you…" Mia leaned her head at my shoulder…
"I will be leaving day after tomorrow…" I smiled a little bitter at Mia…
"I know… I am keeping count on the days…" Mia held my hand…
"wake up Felix… we are home." I turned and looked at him stretching his paws out on the bed yawning…
I helped Mia stand up as Felix jumped down from the bed we walked out and up the stairs Charles parked the boat next to the villa and shut down the ship… we disembarked and headed back inside…
Mom pulled me aside and told me to go change my shirt… I looked over and saw a tiny piece of the bite mark was visible…
"did you break your own word and giving me a grandchild…" Mom smirked at me…
"no mom… we have already agreed to have a child when I come back." I sighed at her…
"okey. I understand why and since things are as they are I will say no more about the subject… now go change your shirt before anyone notice." Mom pushed me gently towards my room…
I headed straight to my room and changed my shirt. I sat down at my desk and wrote down some Japanese recipes in an empty school book. Making sure that anyone could follow them. It was getting late already when I heard a know on the door… I turned around and saw Vicki and Mia stood there… I gestured for them to come inside…
"she is deaf…" Mia looked at me firmly…
"eh… what?" I looked confused at Mia…
Mia explained that she had tried to speak with her several times, but she was deaf after I had yelled at her and she probably haven't heard a thing about the immortality... I sighed and healed Vicki's ears and explained everything to her… she told me she was about to stab Felix, but Jeff had stopped her and since she could not hear anything she was shocked when I had survived that attack since she saw it land on me… so after I explained the rules to her she walked out a little stunned to say the least…
"you want to cuddle? J…just cuddle nothing else…" Mia sat on the bed looking at me…
I nodded and laid down in bed with her in my arms… she pulled the blanket over us as she sighed happy and relaxed closing her eyes… we chatted a little before I noticed she was asleep… I giggled a little and closed my eyes and drifted asleep…
The next morning, I got woken up by the twins pulling my arm with drowsy eyes… I helped them up and placed them between me and Mia and covered the blanket over them and fell asleep again…
I got woken up by Mia poking my nose smiling at me as i stretched my arms above my head yawning… she made a hush sign at me and pointed at the twins giggling… I sat up and giggled at her and we woke them up with a gentle poke on their noses… they stretched there arms up yawning before they sat up and grabbed a hold on us… we got out of bed and walked out to the living room…
Felix was curled up next to the fireplace purring like a cat… Mia giggled at the sight… the rest of the day went like normal starting with breakfast. After that we played with the twins and Felix until dinner… we talked about when I would be leaving tomorrow, and I told them that we would sail in the morning so we would have daylight to get to know the ship and arrange shifts… I explained that we would need to break in the new recruits…
The rest of the day I spent with Mia… we took a long walk around the academy chatting and making plans for the future until it got dark… we walked inside and grabbed something light to eat... before we said good night and went to bed… after a few electro therapy sessions Mia was sleeping in my arms holding around me… I closed my eyes as I fell asleep…
The next morning, I woke up really early and untangled my tail from Mia's… I giggled a little when she woke up looking sad at me…
"just call me when you feel lonely…" I leaned over and kissed her again with some electricity…
She smiled relaxed at me as I stood up and changed to my Armor… I gave her a kiss and walked out… I saw the rest of the Archangels walked out looking tired… Felix walked up to my side and everybody followed me as I walked outside… I picked up Felix and flew down to the docks… the new recruits was walking down to the ship looking both tired and nervus…
We landed next to the ship and I put Felix down… Jeff and Valkyrie gave them a good speech telling them since they were already here they might as well be useful and get onboard… i told Angel to open up the door and a huge walkway unfolded from the bottom of the ship and landed gently on the ground I walked onboard and headed straight up to the bridge with Felix following behind me…
He looked around at the interior of the ship… I had made sure that the floor and walls was wood so the crew would not feel cramped inside… I took out a titanium bar and made a seat next to the command chair for Felix… I even made a soft pillow for him so he could rest comfortable…
I sat down in the command chair and put in a key and turned it around… the entire ship started to vibrate like usual before turning over to a quiet humming noise… displays popped up around the room as Valkyrie walked inside with Jeff… they nodded to me and I pressed a button and looked at the monitor… the walkway closed shut and the ship started to hover gently above the ground…
Valkyrie and Jeff sat down at there station and informed the crew to hold on to anything nearby… Vicki turned around and giggled to me with a nod…
"this is what I hate most of the trip… the commanders take off…" Jeff said and held on to the chair…
I flew gently up in the air and started to go forward… the ship sailed nicely true the sky as it started to gain speed…
"that was not so bad…" Jeff looked at me before turning fast back to the com system…
"for the love of Mother Nature… I hope you are holding on to something!" Jeff called out and grabbed on to his chair…
Vicki looked confused at him and turned to me and saw I was grinning like crazy…
She was able to turn around and grab a hold on something before I put the throttle at max power…
The ship vibrated a little before it shot forward like a bullet making everyone sink into their seats… I monitored the mono system and noticed that the mono blocks did not go up in temperature… the new cooling system held them at normal temp even at full power…
I checked the generators and batteries were also working normally… they were even gaining power when they should slowly lose power at full speed… I smiled happy at the discovery… I slowed down to normal cruising speed and noticed that we were twice as fast as Angel's normal cruising speed…
I pressed a button and the entire bridge started to rise up above deck… the sun shined true the thick glass I made… we stopped moving and I saw we had a good view over the entire upper deck and the surrounding area… Jeff and Vicki gasped at the sight and looked at me stunned…
I giggled to them and turned and looked down at Felix scratching on to the chair looking terrified…
"Angel turn on autopilot…" I said smiling…
"yes commander… Autopilot activated… holding course, altitude, and speed…" Angels voice sounded around the control room…
"come Felix lets get you some air…" I stood up and walked over to a door leading out to the upper deck…
I opened the door and held it for Felix as he jumped down from his chair and walked outside… we walked out on the deck and I looked behind us seeing the city disappear into the background…
"we will be back once the darkness is dead… wait for me my love…" I smiled bitter at the sight…
"I was only there for a day… but it felt like home to me…" Felix said and leaned up against me…
"don't worry… we will return home one day…" I looked down at Felix and patted his head…
We stood there looking at the city disappear into the horizon…
