Chapter 39: Back To Normal

"I heard about the incident, how are you?"

Earlier Eliana felt troubled when professor Symnar, who was wearing the same clothes as before, called her before she could even enter the classroom. She felt mentally relieved when she heard the question.

"Professor Symnar." She smiled in respect. "I am recovering quite well sir."

Symnar examined her and nodded. "Tis good news. You can tell me if you feel unwell during class, I'll be sure to give you consideration." He said.

"Thank you sir, I'll keep that in mind." Eliana was a bit surprised they were considerate enough to a weak student. She really needs to stop thinking bad about them, but she just couldn't help it.

Symnar motioned for the ajar classroom door, gesturing for her to enter first. Eliana caught on, she bowed her head a little before entering inside with Symnar behind her.

The room was unusually quiet, Eliana thought it was weird. She scanned around trying to recall where she seated the last time.

Her eyes stopped on the front seat, she remembered now. Yehven was behind her empty chair with a bored face. That was probably why everyone was silent.

Yehven noticed her arrival as she neared to her seat. He gave her a momentary stare with an unreadable expression on his face. Eliana kept her eyes trained on her empty chair until she finally seated.

She placed her bag to the side feeling the burning holes of stares from behind her. It wasn't only Yehven, she just noticed everyone seemed to have their attention drawn on her. Her wildest and most obvious guess is about the recent incident.

Great now she's that new troublesome kid in school, the new talk of the town.

She deeply sighed from the thought.

Symnar tapped his desk, stealing everyone's attention from Eliana. He cleared his throat, eyeing everyone. He gave Eliana a look before dividing his full attention towards the whole class.

"Last meeting we had an easy experiment for potion making. I am partly satisfied with your performances. I tested the potions everyone made, every single one was effective. Good job students.-" The students reacted relieved from the results. Symnar dropped his eyes at Eliana's direction. 

"Eliana and Yehven, the two if you were not present at the first experiment. Both of you shall come later in the faculty laboratory, do not forget after dismissal hours."

Eliana nodded stiffly. She felt the intense stare from behind her once again, no doubt it was Yehven's eyes. She mentally cursed. Out of all the other students, why should it be that guy.

Someone who resonates an Ethereal aura.

"Now, let's discuss the next experiment we will be doing next week."

The session went by like a blur, mainly because Eliana was mentally not in her normal student state. She was thinking about other things and was having a hard time focusing on the lesson.

The class in the afternoon was one of her worries this day.

Soon enough, she found herself sitting on her seat for healing class. As per usual, the judgemental stares were still there on her heels. She felt uncomfortable about it who wouldn't.

Professor Hanz entered the room followed by Yehven with his usual demeanor. When she thought SAP class was bothersome, she wanted to punch the odds. Yehven sat beside her calmly. How could she have forgotten they were seated next to each other. She mentally facepalmed.

"Eliana and Yehven, the two of you finally decided to show up I see. Is that a new act of rebellion? Aura is not here again as per usual." His smuginess was a bit stronger than the first time they met. "What is wrong with that row in your area." He shook his head from disappointment.

Eliana wanted to roll her eyes at the man but stopped herself instead. She wouldn't want to get in trouble for being disrespectful again, this guy was way different from Symnar.

Eliana peaked to her side when she heard Yehven scoffed from Hanz's insults. Looks like this guy wasn't very happy with the teacher's attitude as well.

Hanz pointed at them. "The two of you should study and keep you from the previous lesson. I have heard about the incident. After class I will provide the notes listing of topics you both missed."

'So he is not entirely a trash talking teacher after all.' Eliana thought.

In the blink of an eye, the entire morning passed by like a flash of lightning. It was already afternoon now and Eliana made sure to eat lunch in the cafeteria. It was better for her to tolerate the noise rather than going anywhere.

She stole quick glances at the Seven Ethereal Seven who were dining from the far opposite end of where she was sitting. Earlier, Larsanel and Jettam were nice enough to fetch her from her last morning class.

The two cousins were worried about her, especially her healing shoulder. They invited Eliana to dine with them, but she refused. The reasons needed not to be spoken of, everyone already understood why.

As she ate, her mind was restlessly thinking about the succeeding incidents. From the swirling sky to that strange voice. How did that bodiless voice find her? To confirm what?

She closed her eyes shut and rubbed her forehead with her right hand. She was thinking too much that it made her head hurt.

Suddenly, a loud smack resonated on her table. She looked up and saw a gorgeous girl with blonde hair and pink eyes staring menacingly at her. Another girl with brown hair and brown eyes was behind her. Along with a boy with strawberry blonde hair and gold eyes who looked very timid.

Eliana raised her eyebrows at them. They were disturbing her lunch, the worst thing someone ever does.

"Speak your business." Eliana said.

The girl who smacked the table smirked at her. "Acting tough now and acting innocent in front of the Seven. How pathetic."

Eliana blinked not expecting the insult. Waves of anger came ashore in her emotions.

"The heck do you want?" She spat her voice in a low tone.

"Stop leeching from the Ethereal Seven and the teachers, people like you make me sick." The girl retaliated with an annoyed look.

Eliana couldn't comprehend what was about to come nor how she would react to it.
