Scrap Drones.

Once at the workshop, Myron leads the guards and rushes in. Kicking the door open, he walks in with a haughty look on his face only to find, nothing. The small room only has a table and chair with some metal arrowheads left on it. A small breeze comes through the window blowing against the curtain slightly.

Myron's face contorts to one of repressed rage. Grasping onto this small chance, he rode his horse for seven days straight, hardly resting, only to get here and find... Nothing?!?! If he doesn't get his reven- Ahem... Set this peasant straight for the good of the church, then what kind of devout believer would he be? His lips curl at the end, now looking forward to taking his anger out on this low life trash.

He takes large strides back out of the workshop. Upon finding Belthor he immediately walks up and gives him a smack.

CHA!

He falls to the floor with a grunt.

'Why did he strike me? The robot is in there, so he should be happy, but he walks right back out and does this? What's happening? He couldn't be thinking of keeping the reward money all for himself, could he?'

Just as he's about to gather his courage and question him, Myron shouts to the guards.

"Tie this man to your horse and drag him around the village a few times! Show them the consequences of purposefully deceiving the Church!"

The guards, excited to see someone's misfortune other than their own, gather around, and start holding him down.

"Oh yeah, and the boy too!"

Both Clide and Belthor are pushed to the ground by multiple guards while they put one end of the rope around their throats like a noose. Despite doing the best they can to resist, they are no match for the well-trained city guardsmen. Before they could carry out the order, another guard runs over from the other side of the workshop.

"M'lord, it seems there truly was something locked in the room and it only recently escaped. The window to that room is open and there are tracks leading into the woods in the West."

The robot is limping through the woods. With the low quality metal his leg is made out of, he can't run very fast. The scout is still in the air keeping track of the guards. They've now split into four groups. The normal guards wearing leather armor don't seem too strong, but that guy wearing the golden armor is obviously different. If he catches up, things will definitely end badly. The robot decides he's got to do something to delay for time.

He stops at an open spot in the woods, dead leaves and broken twigs cover the ground. He casts an ability and the dirt in front of him starts to shake. It splits, and an army of hands burst through. They begin to pull the rest of their bodies out of the earth. Slowly and with erratic movements, their bodies are lifted from beneath.

As they stand in front of him, the robot can get a good look at what he has summoned. Using this ability to summon swords and equipment, he would always receive the worst quality goods, and this time is no exception. Their bodies are rusted, holes and scratches cover them. The metal plates are peeled back in some places, revealing the metal skeleton inside. They stand in an awkward manner, constantly twitching, and emitting glitched mechanical groans.

The robot looks at one and scans it.

He nods his head in satisfaction. They may not be the best fighters, but they are perfectly suited to this battlefield. He has no way to know how effective the Curse of Rusting is, but the humans are most likely not prepared to deal with it. They think they are only chasing after him alone, once they get ambushed by a group of these drones, it should be enough to keep them from following.

'They are also very cheap, so I'll summon as many as I can to buy me as much time as possible.'

The robot summons as many as he can before he turns and continues retreating into the woods.
