1 cursed pendant

Somewhere on the corner of a street, there was a stall. behind the stall that was poorly decorated with a banner with ' greatest diviner', there was a young man who seemed to be in his early twenties.

The man looked average, both in appearance and temperament and even his clothes were completely ordinary. he was so plain that he could be missed in the middle of a crowd.

On the other side of the stall were two people, a young couple.

" he does not look special at all," the man said while looking unpassionately at the diviner.

" will you shut up! my friends said that he was a very good diviner " The woman berated the man before looking at the other young man apologetically.

" sorry master Feng. I apologize for my boyfriend's behavior. He is just a big bull. He doesn't t know what he says" the woman said.

Hearing her, her boyfriend could only scratch his eyes in defeat.

" It is alright, it happens all the time. I will calculate things for you.

since people recommended you to me, it means that you already know that my methods are somewhat different from other's people" the young diviner said.

" yes! I know" the young woman affirmed and before her boyfriend had any time to react, she proceeded to tear off a strand of hair from his head.

" ouch" it was a strange sight to see the burly man crying in pain.

next, the woman took a strand of her hair that she gave Master Feng.

once, Master Feng had the two strands of hair in his hands. he started to mutter strange words in an incomprehensible language.

Master Feng Trew the hairs strand in the air and they floated before falling on the table of his stall.

when the two strands of airs fell they were still connected at their end.

Feng nodded at his accuracy which had increased during the last few years. the two strands were still connected at their ends.

" I see..." Feng said with professionalism before pausing. he seemed to be looking at something far away.

" you have known each other for many years, and you have decided to further connect your fate. the bond between your destiny is tight. it means that you have decided to make the great leap together" Feng explained.

the young woman smiled seemingly surprised, while her boyfriend sighed exasperatedly.

" you are indeed as great as they said. the two of us were friends since our childhood. Jack became my boyfriend when we reached college and we recently decided to organize our marriage.

we wanted your help in choosing an auspicious day for our marriage" the young woman said excitedly.

" in this case, I think that I can help you," Feng said while the boyfriend was still dubiously looking at him.

Feng closed his eyes. the pendant hanging on his chest that seemed to be made of an ordinary stone started to shine with a weak glow but it was enough to shock the couple.

The next moment, Feng opened his eyes, and what appeared in front of him was not the same world. the object and people around him were still present. but there were also lines of various colors and shapes.

" your bond is glowing with a golden glow but dangerous wind arises from the East, where the sun should be coming from," Feng said in his trance.

" why does it mean?" the woman asked seemingly worried by what seemed to be an ominous presage.

"you're meant to be with each other but if you want to celebrate a happy marriage day. you must do it before the day after tomorrow or thing are going to get complicated" Feng said.

" Can we do anything about that, Master Feng?" the boyfriend named Jack asked Feng while giving him the eyes.

" no! it is a heavenly calamity. no one can change anything about that" Feng said firmly.

the couple finally left and it is only when they were far away that Feng sighed.

'They have not paid' Feng thought.

****

it has been three years since Feng started to live like this.

it all started when he received, an old pendant from his dying grandfather. it was apparently a family heirloom. perhaps it was not the best idea, since his grandfather was known for his bad mental health.

according, to his grandfather, the member of his family belonged to an old lineage of Feng shui masters from the east. with time, the family had progressively lost its inheritance regressing to the state it was actually in.

But, Feng's problem also started at that point. he started to see strange things that did not exist and was diagnosed with a mental illness.

Feng dropped out of school as he was being chunned by the people around him. he lived miserably.

but one day, he had enough and drifted all the way to this city.

As for his profession as a diviner, it all started with him trying to con people once he was too hungry. strangely, out of hundred cases, he was mostly right about fifty of them but it was apparently enough to consider him as a good diviner and make people recommend him to their friends.

but it was not all, Feng had discovered that his mental affliction was helpful when it come to divination.

The fact that his pendant with often glows also participated in making him more convincing.

" The heavenly calamity!" Feng could not help but frown while thinking about this. he had divined heavenly calamity for more than one client during the last few days.

Feng was the one who came out with that name as it was a calamity that was targeted at a city or rather a person.

he saw it once when one of his clients went to a city that suffered an epidemic before being quarantained.

" I have the feeling that something big is going to happen in this city. should I leave?" Feng asked to himself.
