CHAPTER 4: HEART WAVE

♡♡

I came back to my room and informed Hauwa to serve them food and drinks. Then later she would go and buy more grocery for the house. I had to stay home to make dinner and i might not get enough time to do both.

I have never been this angry in my life. frustrated and confused even. This just reminds me of when I used to live in my Father's house and how life was for me. That was one of the reasons why I got married so young because I just wanted to be far away from my step siblings and step mother, I wanted to escape the feeling i used to get.

But I only jumped from frying pan to fire.

A sigh of relieve escaped my lips as I laid down on my bed. Running my hand down my face, I raised my hands up to make a short dua.

'Ya rabb. Knower of the unseen. please grant her more shifa so she would go and leave me alone. Ya rabb i know you see all and know all please acceppt my duas.'

I sighed again after the short dua in my head. I spent some hours thinking of what to do next i had already told Dr.chioma to fill in for me today, I decided to make jollof rice for the entire house. Because Hauwa wasn't going to get back home in time.

Hauwa had served them food as I instructed, I saw the used plates on the kitchen island.

I looked at the time and it was some minutes to 6pm, Abdullah wasn't back. He was my saviour when he is around they don't even do half of what they did.

I think they might have changed but I guess been evil never changes. I unlocked my phone and dialled Abdullah's number. He picked up on the third ring. "Ihsan, My love You missed me this much" He jokes. As usual.

"When are you coming home, Please." I wishperyelled. Making my way to one of the counter making sure we had enough spinach for tomorrow. I also noticed some crumbs on the kitchen island so i grabbed a napkin to clean it.

"What's wrong. Did something happen." Would you even believe me if I told you. I almost rolled my eyes

Sometimes I question the love he says he has for me. Or maybe I'm just over reacting. "I just want you to come home. I don't feel.." Comfortable with them. "You don't feel what?" He was getting perturb I can tell.

"I'm not feeling too well." Well technically I'm not feeling too well with them treating me like i am not there brother's wife. There was little spinach so I needed to get more. Good thing it was on the list.

"Turn around." He replies and I heard his voice from behind me. I Swiftly turned to find him, Starring at me with a full grin. He leaned by the door and carelessly played with the phone in his hand.

Slowly the wide grin turned mazed.

"What is it?" He asked his brows Knotted waiting for a response. I motioned him to walk in further. He followed and he closed the kitchen door behind him. "Abdullah, what took you so long." He strolled to the gas cooker he loves garlic and the rice had some in it so probably that scent took his attention.

He smiled looking at me from my head to my feet then he smirks.

Abdullah took me off guard by wrapping both of his arms around me. His head lowers and He kisses me softly on my lips then goes to my neck i felt his breath on my neck i almost forgot where i was then it hit me when His hands were getting lower and i knew what he plans to do i stop him before he goes lower but then they go higher, i don't know what his aim was it was a full house and we were in the kitchen, He placed his other hand on my head placing it gently on his chest. "Ihsan." He called softly.

"Im not smiling with you Zawji ." I mumbled before moving away from his grip. "What took you so long?" I asked again frowning but it wasn't that deep. Because he smiled at me running a hand down his face. "Work. You know the boss loves keeping me around." I rolled my eyes turning to the stove. He calls his PA the boss when he is the CEO of the company. I took the lid off and steam sweet loving steam hit my face. The food was done and ready for plating. "Are you mad at me?." I turned and glared at him. "Should I put it in a food warmer or just plate them." I asked him turning back to the pot closing it up with the lid.

"Food warmer would be better because I'm not eating now and I don't think Umma would eat right now as well." My brows knotted after he called his mother's name. God I dislike that woman.

The door swung open and I see Nana running towards us with with a full grin and her arms stretched. Abdullah picked her up and she squealed smiling in her jumpsuit. "Daddyy." She adds when he brings her down to the ground. "How are you doing little one."

"I'm Good. Umma got me C-Crayyons and a braclet and some new shoes." I furrow my brows. A bracelet and some new shoes when did this happen. "Wow. Crayon's that's good but you don't fancy drawing." She looked over to me then back to her father then places her hand from the side of her mouth trying to tell her father something in his ear with out me hearing. "Khadijah!, What did I tell you about gossiping."

"Its not gossiping when its done right in front of you." Abdullah supported. I shook my head. As they continued what they were doing aswell as laughing at me yet again. I hate been laughed at. It triggers the evil side of me that I always try to tame. Because it's not a good one, Trust me.

I poured the rice in the blue food warmer just in time Hauwa came back from the market. Abdullah and Khadijah went back to the living room living just Hauwa and I. "Amma fa kin dade." I noted to her when she dropped all the grocery down on the counter.

(Amma fa kin dade you took soo long)

I wasn't perfect at hausa I only knew a few words and understood little but I tried my best. My mum is from Egypt and she speaks fluent Arabic and being her only child we spent so much time together and she thought me as well. So i speak very good english and very good Arabic

I learnt how to speak hausa very well after getting married to Abdullah I had to learn it because he never stopped mocking my accent.

Naturally in nigeria if you dont speak Hausa from birth you kind of get an accent when you eventually learn it. "The traffic was terrible not only that, VIO caught the taxi I was in saying his documents were out of date so I came down and had to start looking for another taxi. It took almost thirty minutes."

"Wait. Why didn't you go with Mr sunday. And the cars at home?."

She looked away shyly. "He was busy He was part of the backup for Baban Nana (Nana's father) and i just felt like using a taxi. Besides i was alone i swear it. I dropped my shoulders amzed by her. "Why didn't you tell me I would have called a sercurity guard or even called a deliverly app. What if something had happened to you and I hope you know Abdullah would be furious to hear about this." I was angry but I felt sorry for her she really does look tired.

"Ah. Please don't tell him. I would be forced to go to school with a guard like last time." She added sorting out everything she got. Which made me laugh because she was absolutely right.

Abdullah knows people may come after the people around because of his wealth so because of that he puts so much sercurity around us. He has calmed down on my case seeing how secured my work place was. But he had a tracker put in my car just incase, he wanted to do the same for my phone but i denied that. But for Nana there are trackers all over her. On her back pack in her shoes he once had one on her headband. He did all that because the school said they wouldn't agree to a guard following her to school. But Abdullah found a way to get a staff to work for the school but its only him and i that know this.
