answering to all of his inquiries and aurther follow his lead to the room behind the booth where there is an orb in the middle of the room, after reaching the orb Clark instructs aurther to put his hand on the orb.

"hey Aurther put both of your hands on the orb and inject it with your mana so we can determine your Rank"

heeding his instructions aurther injects it with his mana while inserting mana into the orb it starts to glow and the words start forming on the orb which shows "Rank 1 stage 4" looking at this Clark blurts

"that's the decent rank for your age aurther when I was 15 years old I was only a mage apprentice and if you do well in the written and practical exam you will be joining B grade class and if you score a

high enough marks you will be joining A grade class"

listening to Clark assumptions aurther couldn't help but raise a question

" and if I score full marks in both theory and practical exam would I be able to join S grade class??"

a hearing out aurther question Clark couldn't help but smile bitterly and let out

" I thought the same when I came for the examination but do you know how tough the written exam is??"

"40% of the students fail in the written exam and 50% in the practical exam only 10% of the applicants pass both of the exams and from that 10% only 300 seats are there now tell me is it easy?? even after I worked my ass off I am still in class B"

after thanking Clark, aurther moves in front of the instructor and introduces himself

"Sir, my name is Aurther Francis Arcadia"

looking at his papers the man says

" so Mr. aurther, I am no sir call me instructor flint or just instructor"

" yes instructor"

after hearing Aurther reply flint nods and start casting a rank 2 spell and after 2 seconds of casting a wall made of rock emerges from the ground and the instructor explains about the practical test

" so Mr. aurther you have to cast 4 rank 1 spells of different elements and if you cast an offensive spell then you can use the wall that I just made as your target"

following flints instructions aurther without any mistakes flawlessly cast a firebolt, lighting's spark, water shot, wind sense.

looking at aurther casting spells flint gets surprised and praises aurther with a smile

" perfect casting of rank 1 spells without a single failure fantastic"

after noting down his marks on the paper flint look at aurther and says

" now I will summon a rank 1 wolf and order it to dodge your attacks for 5 mins and you have to damage it in those 5 mins and your score will be based on how much damage you did to it got it??"

listening to flint instructions aurther raises a question

"and if I killed the wolf will there be any problem?"

hearing his question flints smiles and shakes his head and advises him

"aurther I know you got skills, but a rank one beast is not a wall which will not move from one place and even if you hit him it won't die from a rank 1 spell you will need to throw 2 to 3 rank 1 spells spell to kill him I advise you to try to damage him as much as you can for better score because you only have 5 mins"

"thank you for the advice instructor"

saying that flint starts casting a rank 2 spell for summoning the rank 1 wolf which took 2 seconds and commands the wolf to keep moving and evading aurther attacks

looking at the wolf which looks like any normal wolf with a bigger size moving in a circle around him

first, aurther dual casts water flow and icy wind on the floor where the wolf will come which forms ice on the floor and makes the floor slippery and the wolf following his master command steps onto it and lose his footing and fall down and when the wolf falls down, aurther casts 2 firebolts and shoots them in the wolf's direction and kills the wolf because one of the firebolts hits the wolf head and ends his life and all this only takes 10 seconds for the deed to be done.

Looking at aurther killing the wolf and dual casting flint can't help but mumble out with a shocked face

" what Monster.. rank 1 mage perfectly dual casting"

looking at himself losing his composure flints smiles at aurther embarrassingly and says

"congratulations for acing the practical test and extra 30 points for dual casting"

looking at the shocked face of the instructor Aurther smiles at him and thanks him

" ok aurther follow me I will take you to your theory exam room"

after saying that flint takes aurther to room no 129 where there are already 46 students seated and sitting on their separate seats waiting for the exam to start, after guiding me here flints passes me a token with 29 written on it and says

"This is your roll no and also your seat number and submit it with your answer sheet"

after giving aurther the token flint leaves the room thereon entering the room aurther quickly finds the seat number 29 and sits.

when aurther sits on his seat, the boy sitting near aurther waves at him and calls him out

"Hey, my name is scutz Valen what's yours?"

seeing a black-haired kid with a tanned face smiling at him and introduces himself aurther also a Smiles and greets him with a handshake

"Nice to meet you, My name is Aurther Francis Arcadia"

when aurther introduces himself, scutz gets surprised and blurts out

" oh you are 2nd prince of Arcadia Kingdom, apologizes your highness

if my actions were rude"

" no scutz you don't have to apologize and the Academy forbids students from using their titles here so just call me aurther"

looking at aurther modest behavior, scutz gives him higher evaluation in his mind because he has heard that the 2nd prince of Arcadia Kingdom is trash, who just knows how to show off his wealth.

" then aurther I hope you do well in the exam and if you don't know the answer to some questions, you can whisper them to me I can help u with one or two questions without getting caught by the professor"

listening to his cheerful tone aurther says

after exchanging these words with aurther scutz goes back to his seat and wait for the professor to distribute the question paper and answer sheets

after 2 mins the professor distributes the question paper and answer sheets and tell the students that they have 2 hours to complete them

after answering all the questions aurther contemplates in his mind

after full two hours from when the exam started the professor says

saying that the professor uses wind magic to take sheets from all the students in one fell swoop and say

" I hope you all did well in the exam and now you can go to the main hall and wait for the results"
