Half a year had passed since I rescued the slaves of Mary Geoise. Word of my deeds had spread, and my bounty had reached into the hundred billion. After a while, I had lost count. I poured all my attention into the coming months, where we would finally attack and make our presence known.

There was a visible change in how my people operated, ranks had been formed, and a hierarchy set in place. The first person had also taken the Darwin Serum, and most surprisingly, it was Abby. A year younger than Evos, who I caught with her hand in the cookie jar searching through my lab.

I had refused her multiple times as he didn't meet the requirements, but I told him that I would let her have the Serum if she received Cal's recommendation to stop the shenanigans.

And much to my shock, two weeks later, I caught her sparing against a minks take a hit, and get back to her feet as if nothing happened. It sure got Cal's attention enough, and soon enough, she became one of the first ranking generals in my army.

After taking the serum, I brought Abby in for testing, with Evos close by, assuring her the entire time. She didn't change much besides an increase in muscle density and overall physical enhancement.

Like I predicted soon, I had a wave of people asking to receive the serum themselves. I gave Cal a couple of doses to hand out to those she thought were ready. With the number of what I called Primes increasing every day, I noticed that there seemed to be an unseen side effect.

When I used my powers, I could sense those who had taken the serum much clearer than before. It was a weaker version of the bond I had with my beast companions. It was worth investigating, so one day, I called Leana to my lab.

"You wanted to see me, darling?" Leana walked through the lab door, and I spun around a vial of serum in my hand, "Yeah, I wanted to ask you something." She looked from me to the vial, and her smile transformed into a semi-frown.

"Don't tell me you're trying to use your girlfriend like a lab rat, do you?" Wincing under her intense gaze, I struggled to defend myself, "Not really, all you need to do if you want! Is to take the serum, and that's it."

Leana relaxed suddenly and snatched the vail from my hand, "I'm only teasing you. I know you wouldn't do anything to hurt me. Especially since I'm pregnant." Even though I knew she was joking, I couldn't sto[ my heart from leaping into my chest.

"Don't do that to me." Leana walked closer to me, "Why not? Don't you want to start a family with me?" This time Leana was hurt for real, and it pained me, "Of course I do, but if the World Government learns, I have a child. I don't want to think of the evil's they'll commit."

I pulled Leana into a hug, "But our child would be so much stronger, especially if I do this." Before I could stop her, Leana consumed the entire vial of serum, wiping her lips afterward. I felt her body grow hot as she began to transform.

Picking her up in my arms, I carried her to an operating table and held her down. I watched as the woman I loved started to change, becoming taller, fuller in the chest and waist. Her hair also grew and changed color coming to a stop just below her butt and snow white.

Leana's hands started to spark with blue electricity. The last change was her ears and tail, which grew as the serum enhanced her mink blood. After a minute, Leana stopped and opened her eyes which had changed to become a bright blue.

"Don't scare me like that. There's a way I do this." Leana smirked and hopped off the table, her eyes coming up to my chin, "It's fine. I feel better than ever." To emphasize her point Leana held up her hand and it crackled with large bolts of electricity.

Remembering that minks in their sulong form could produce electric charges I realized that instead of changing her DNA the serum enhanced the mink portions.

"So how do I look." Leana did a little spin and I shrugged, "I don't notice anything different." Leana saw through my poor line and she lightly smacked me on the chest, "Don't play with me like that, but really how do I look?"

I pinched Leana's ass making her squeal and blush, "You're perfect, and once this is all done we can talk again about starting a family." Nodding we stayed silent for a moment enjoying each other's company.

But Leana was called away to help with training the children of my army, but the thought of having a family one day wouldn't leave my mind. If I wanted to be around to keep my promise I needed to finish this battle.

Quickly writing three letters I paid for the mail service, I had faith two of my contacts would respond but the third was fifty-fifty. Before I could get back to work the door was kicked in by Ace who looked as if he had seen a ghost, "Soren we need to run!"

"What's got you so panicked?" Ace shivered, "One of the scouting parties says that Pop's less than five minutes away." I was filled with a mixture of joy and dread, "Well then, this is their a blessing or an omen, but I guess it's time to face the music."

Ace tried to argue with me but I created a portal under him that I jumped in afterward. I landed on the deck of the Moby Dick, and immediately felt a shadow cast over me. Turning around I smiled and waved, "Hey pop's you seem to be in good health."

Whitebeard steaming his fist curled, "Soren!!"
