**Credit to the real owner of the cover photo** Lee Nana finds herself caught up in the middle of a drama she knows nothing about, when she accepts the request of her best friend to stand in for her as an hired girlfriend. She meets and falls in love with Kim Tan who happens to be her boyfriend's best friend unknowing to her, and drama ensues as different love triangles are formed. Lee Nana comes to find out that she isn't really who she thinks she is, and everyone around her is keeping one secret or the other from her. She gets to understand how one decision can change a person's life as well as those around her for the better... Or maybe for worse. ******** Tan locked eyes with her over his wineglass, she was pretty as sin. He wanted her, he wanted to take her right there. He could barely remember the last time he felt this strongly about any woman. What surprised him most was the fact that he didn't just want her body, he wanted her heart too. Most of the women he knew were all golddiggers, and he could get any of them between his sheets for the right price, so why the hell was this one proving stubborn? She shifted her gaze from his, "The wine is nice," She said smiling nervously, wanting to say anything to break the silence. She may be naive but she knew desire when she saw it, and she could see it written all over his eyes. The thought of it made her heartbeat quicken. 'You have a boyfriend, what are you doing letting yourself get attracted to this guy?' she asked herself. He could tell she was nervous, it made him smile. It reassured him to know he still had that effect on females, especially this one that roused everything in him. He reached across the table and placed his hand over her hand making her jump. He chuckled, "Calm down girl, I don't bite. you just look so nervous, I wanted to calm you down." He said, laughter dancing in his eyes. "I'd appreciate it if you keep your hands to yourself. I don't appreciate being touched randomly like that," She said with a frown. "I'm sorry, I'll try to let you know before I touch you next time," he said with a smile, making her know he intended to touch her again. "We'll be attending the wedding tomorrow with you as my date. I hope you won't jump up everytime I touch you. that would raise suspicion don't you think?" He said with a wicked glint in his eyes "Isn't that what this whole week has been about? You have nothing to worry about, I'll do it right. But until then keep your hands to yourself." She said with a polite smile. We'll see about that. Tan thought. I Thought You Liked My Daughter?

Min-Jung knew she had to call Tan. She didn't want him to start thinking she was avoiding him, so she dialed his number.

"Hello, I'm very sorry I couldn't call you yesterday. I was really busy," She apologized immediately after Tan received the call.

"That's fine," He said, waiting to hear what she had to say. He wished he could listen to Mi Cha's phone recorder before speaking with Min-Jung.

Immediately, he decided he would record his conversation with her for future reference. He clicked on his call recorder and waited.

"So, have you found her?" He asked when she said nothing.

"I tried going back to the place I met her and asked a couple of people about her, and I was told she has traveled overseas," Min-Jung said.

So, she was going to lie to the end? The Nana he had seen not too long was now overseas, Ok. "Oh, that's so sad. What do we do about that now?" He asked her.

"I could try to get her contact if you want to speak to her. That's the best I can do. I'm very sorry about this," She said.

Tan couldn't believe his ears. If he hadn't discovered something already, he probably would have believed her. But hearing her lies made him want to see how much she was willing to go to keep up with it.

"Yes, please. I'll be very grateful if you could do that for me," He said.

"Ok, I'll try getting it before the end of the day and send it to you. Thanks for your understanding," She said as she hung up the call.

She smiled to herself, so he bought her story. That was cool. All she had to do now was pay someone to help her tell him off on the phone. She would have preferred it if Nana had done it herself, but she knew Nana liked the guy now.

At least now that Nana was in love with Ji-Tae's best friend, she would understand her better, too, right? You can't choose the people you fall in love with, after all.

"Have you checked out Tan's girlfriend as I asked you to?" Mrs. Kim asked Choi Min-Jun, who had just brought in some documents for her to sign.

He had buried himself in work since Mi Cha had left for Seoul. He knew he didn't have to work so hard, all he had to do was go back home and live as his parents wanted him to, but he couldn't bring himself to do any of it.

"I'm still on it, ma. But so far, I'm yet to find anything on her," He replied.

Mrs. Kim paused, wondering if she should ask the question on her mind or not. "Please do your best," She said as she looked at the documents. She usually preferred to work from home but had gone to the office to check on the staff because of Tan's absence.

She would have to call Mi Cha to find out what was going on with Tan; it was unlike him to travel without any good reason. Thinking of Mi Cha, she glanced at Choi Min-Jun, who stood beside her desk waiting for her instructions.

"I thought you liked my daughter?" She asked, making Choi Min-Jun look up at her in surprise. Where had this question come from? He wondered.

He didn't know if he was to answer or just allow her to go ahead.

"That was a question," She reminded him. How do you tell your boss you're attracted to her daughter? He just had to find the courage and say it as it was.

"Yes, I do like her," He said, praying she would leave the topic at that.

"I thought as much. So what do you intend to do about her moving to Seoul?" She asked him, surprising him once again. He hadn't imagined that she would be so receptive towards his feelings for her daughter.

"Why the look on your face? Don't tell me you thought I would disapprove of your feelings for her. I've worked with you for almost two years, and I know you're decent," She said.

"Thank you, ma," He said, bowing slightly.

"What are you thanking me for? That doesn't answer my question. What do you intend to do?" She asked him again.

"I don't know. I'm not sure she likes me," He said, feeling awkward. This wasn't the kind of discussion you had with your boss.

Mrs. Kim could sense his discomfort, "I won't be the one to tell you whether she likes you. But if you don't approach her, you'll never know. You can leave now. I have to finish this before leaving," She said, dismissing him.

He sat on his office seat as he considered Mrs. Kim's words. He was long overdue for leave, so he might apply for one and visit his parents in Seoul. Then he could try and see Mi Cha while at it.

The exhausted look on Mi Cha's face blossomed into a pleasant smile when she saw her mother's call.

"I'm sorry I failed to call you. I've been very busy since we got to Seoul," She apologized before her mother could speak.

"Don't worry, I understand. How are you, and how is your brother?" Mrs. Kim wondered aloud.

"He is fine. We're doing good. How are you, and how is that very hot personal assistant of yours?" Mi Cha asked, making her mother chuckle.

"I'm very ok. And I'm sure he will be glad to know you think he is hot," Mrs. Kim said sparklingly. She loved a good romance story.

"Please don't tell me you spoke to him about me," Mi Cha asked in embarrassment, knowing her mother had done just that.

"If you don't ask, I won't tell. How's your house hunting going? Have you signed the contract with JK?" Mrs. Kim asked.

"I got a place I like, and yes, I've signed the contract," She said.

"That means you met Min-Jung? She helped you get the house?" Mrs. Kim asked curiously.

"Yea, I did. She helped me," She said, not liking the direction of the conversation.

"What do you think about her? Do you like her?" Mrs. Kim asked excitedly.

"Yea, I do. She's absolutely beautiful and has a wonderful personality," Mi Cha said honestly.

"That's very good. Anyway, I called to find out about Tan. What is he up to in Seoul? Or is he there because of her?" She asked, suddenly sounding serious.

"Shouldn't you be asking him that? Why me?" Mi Cha asked with a slight frown on her face.

"Because I know your brother enough to know he won't tell me anything, but you, on the other hand, I can pressure you into giving me answers. So tell me, what is he up to?" She asked.

"You know I love you, mom? But I can't tell you anything. I promised him it would be between us, and if he found out I told you anything, he would be mad. You know I'm still trying to be his trusted sister," She said reluctantly.

"That means there is something. I promise I won't mention anything to him. Just tell me what he is up to. You never can tell if I might even be of help," She said with a pleasant voice, eager to hear what her kids were keeping from her.

She had lost out on Tan's life while growing up, and she didn't intend to remain in the dark about his life now. Apart from them being siblings, Tan was the sort of person that had always kept to himself. Naturally, she would want to know what was going on with him.

Mi Cha considered it briefly; maybe their mother really could be of help, but she certainly couldn't do it on her own. And If she left it all to Tan, he would be too slow and might ruin everything. What harm would confiding in their mother do?

Hello darling readers!

Thanks for your support and encouragement thus far??

Due to the complaint about the names; Min-jung and Min-jun causing confusion I've decided to just call Min-jun by his complete name Choi Min-jun so you can better differentiate them.

Do well to drop your honest reviews and comments so I can improve.???
