1 The reincarnation

I was walking down the usual road, enjoying the weather, atmosphere, and scenery. Arrived at the crossroad, I closed my eyes and waited for the lights to turn green.

Screech.. Bam

'Ugh.'

After being flung away for meters, I painfully opened my eyes, trying to understand the situation. I saw the truck meters away, the driver was hastily coming near me, people were screaming and calling with the phones.

'Ah, I just want to close my eyes to enjoy the music! Not close my eyes forever! Ugh.'

"Young man, are you alright?"

'Really!? You can really ask that?!'

"Hang on, the ambulance will come here immediately."

'Ugh, cold, it's getting colder. I'm gonna die. What's on the other side, though? I hope I go to heaven.'

As my consciousness slowly fading away, I closed my eyes forever.

'Ugh, I'm hungry. Let's get up and find something to eat.'

As I opened my eyes, what greeted me was a rocky ceiling.

'Huh?'

The place was dark, but I could still see the surroundings. It looked like a cavern or something. As I tried to remember what happened that led to this situation, I was shocked.

'So this is hell? Damn, I thought I was a good man.'

When I looked at the ground, small green things, no, creatures are all over the place.

'These things are moving, damn.'

"Ahh, hungry!"

"Hungry!"

"Hungryy!"

It started with one, then went on to spread out to tens of them. It startled me because I can understand them and the noise they made led to another sound.

"Alright, alright, here is the food. Eat up!"

At a place like the entrance of the room, a larger green creature shouted out and threw 'food' at us. The food was a dead rabbit, with its head caved in from one side, and the body still had fur. However, it attracted me. No disgust, no fear, there was only hunger. A hunger so great that I subconsciously grabbed it and devoured like a beast.

It was only after there was nothing left that I woke up from what was like a trance. In a worried mind, I looked down at my own body, only to realize something I should have known earlier.

'I'm the same as them.'

Green skin, ugly, short body, omnivorous, and great in quantity. A name instantly came to my mind.

'Goblins. I've been reincarnated as a goblin.'

A weak creature, the bottom of the food chain, mob monster, and always got hunted down. Many words could be used to describe the creature I've been reborn into.

'This really IS hell. I shouldn't have held back on doing bad things back then.'
