3 Help Wanted

And that is where we are now.

The boy just opened his eyes with a scream loud enough to fill the entire house and put them into a panic.

He touched his entire body and breathed a sigh of relief once he noticed that he was fine and unharmed. He also noticed that his usual black hair was replaced by golden locks.

That is strange.

He pulled at his hair and looked at it, thinking that it must have been a trick of the light.

But it still remained golden. That is when he jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom, how he knew where the bathroom was, don't ask me.

Maybe he just followed the door that looks like it leads to the bathroom, who knows.

Looking in the mirror is a pretty boy with golden hair and a kind smile. There is also this princely aura about him along with the fact that he has the same face as the Male Lead in the game he just played.

Believe it was a dream, he tried all he could to make himself wake up, including punching his face.

When that did not work, he had to believe that he had, in some ways, transmigrated into this world.

Suddenly he felt even more dejected as he crumpled onto the ground and sighed deeply.

Why?? Why this game???

Why couldn't I have been transmigrated into a fantasy fighting game? Not this one. Why??

Suddenly the door to the bathroom opened up and a little petite lady pocked her head in.

"Young master? I heard you screaming. Is everything alright?"

"Of course everything is not alright." He couldn't help but raise his voice at her. "I am here."

"Well, it is quite unfortunate about that. Should I send for the doctor?" She said, quickly hiding behind the door.

"Why would you do that?" he asked, thinking.

Just then something appeared in front of him. It is almost like a transparent screen as he looked at it blankly.

There are several boxes on the screen and one of them was written, 'wake up' with a line connecting to the other box written 'bathroom'.

Right after 'bathroom' is two lines, 'yes, call the doctor' and 'No, don't call him. I am fine.'

'Yes call the doctor' shows only one end and that is, asylum. No more boxes followed after that one.

If they think that he went mad then it will lead to him being thrown into the asylum.

Wasn't this one of the bad endings in the game? Do I even remember?

How did it go again?

His mind continued to race as he tried to remember all the crucial details that he forgot. Instead, something else crossed his mind and he collapsed to the ground, horror written all over his face.

Did I just … die? What about my money? My games!

He wrapped his hands over his head, not wanting to move as more knocking came on the door.

Suddenly the door broke open and he looked up to see a man standing in front of him a scowl on his face.

Huh? Where did the maid go? She was here just a minute ago.

"What are you still doing? You need to get ready for class." The man said, turning to another man in a suit. "Pick him up."

"Yes sir." He said, grabbing the boy and pulling him to the room before throwing him on the bed once again.

"Hey, what gives?" The boy asked, frowning at them.

"Ace. I understand that you are at a rebellious stage." The man with light brown hair said, taking out a white dress shirt from the closet that looks about the size of his room in his sister's house.

He then took out neatly folded checkered blue pants hanging from a hanger with a dark blue checkered blazer that looks like it came straight out of an anime.

The man then carefully carried the uniforms to him and placed them on the bed.

"But you need to get to school."

"Why do I need to go to school?" He asked, trying to remember who this character was. His memory is still a little bit messed up though. "And who are you again?"

The man looked at him with concern before reaching out and touching his head.

"You do not seem to be having a fever." The man said, "Could it be because I hit you too hard?"

"Excuse me?"

"I think we should visit the doctor." The man stood up as a screen appeared in front of the boy's face, flashing red 'Asylum'. "I will schedule a-"

"Isn't there a private doctor?" He asked suddenly.

"What?"

"A private doctor. We have that right?" He asked, cautiously looking at the man in front of him.

If he is indeed in the same game that he played before he got hit and he is the person he thinks he is, then they definitely have one.

"We do." The man in front of him said, "But you never liked him before."

"I would prefer him over going to a hospital." He said, pouting slightly.

The man laughed and ruffled the boy's head, "Alright. I will call him. For today, you can just skip school, ok? It is my fault you fainted yesterday anyway."

The man gave him one last look before walking out of the room.

The boy breathed a sigh of relief before looking at the screen in front of him once again.

It has gone back to its transparent colour and he stared at the screen blankly.

First, I need to find out what I know about this world. If this is even the world I think it is.

He tapped on the screen and it did not show anything else except a couple of choices that he could make that would lead to one thing or the other.

"Isn't there any kind of information on this thing?" He tapped it continuously but nothing happened.

Frustration building up in him, he picked up the screen and tried to smash it against the bedpost but it disappeared from his hands and suddenly another voice came in the room.

"Are you crazy?!"

He turned to see a little fox creature flying beside him and frowning at him.

"I have officially lost my mind." He said, defeated. "Talking, flying foxes? What the hell is happening? This must be because I am in a coma, isn't it?"

"You are not hallucinating." The fox said, flying in front of him. "You were brought into this world because we needed your help."

"And what would you need my help for?" He asked, sceptical.

"We need you to save this world." The fox said, sitting on the bed in front of him. "There is great danger on the horizon for this kingdom and we need you."

"Danger? Do you all know that I know nothing about this place? I don't even know how to hold a gun too. Let alone fight."

"I should brief you on everything then." The fox cleared its throat. "This is the world known as 'Mansao' as you can tell from the game that you played."

"Wait, so this is a game." The boy asked.

"Yes. Remember those lights you saw before you woke up? That was us teleporting you here." The fox smiled pleasantly.

"I thought those were the lights of cars?" he asked, leaning closer to it. It is about the size of his hands and has the bushiest tail as well as the longest ears he had ever seen.

He could not help but touch it with his fingers. So soft.

"Will you stop that?" The fox scolded, flying higher. "Do you want me to tell you about this or not?"

"Ah, sorry. Tell me." He said, trying to pay better attention to the little one.

"The reason you were brought here is because of the skill you showed by the way you played the game. Besides, it was not like we did not ask you first."

"Ask me first?" He thought for a second. "Are you talking about that side quest thing that popped up?"

"Yes. We asked if you wanted and you said yes."

"I didn't think that I was going to be brought into this world." He said, falling back on the bed. "Ok. Fine. What about my body?"

"Don't worry about it. We made sure to not mangle it too much."

"Come again?"

"We have to hit you with the migration portal and we could only take your spirit with us." The fox said nonchalantly.

"Are you saying that I died?"

"You are still alive right?" The fox looked at him like it could not understand him.

"Of course I am. But I still died." He almost shouted when a knock came on the door and the little fox hid under his pillows at the man from earlier came in with another man.

Why does everyone here look so damn young here?? Isn't a doctor supposed to be old or something??

That is just the mechanics of the game. We needed to lure as many people in as we could. The fox whispered into his mind.

What??
