"Pardon?" I blinked at the priest's words.
"Dalton." I corrected and he nodded. He held my hands and led me through the water, "The water represents purity. You must be pure to perform this ritual successfully." He said calmly and I met his gaze.
"The lady has told me quite a lot about you. I'm priest Ramsey." I nodded and faced forward.
The preist led me to stand before the wooden podium with three basins resting on a silver platter before arriving at the podium. I was asked to kneel before whatever alter was there to pray.
I wasn't allowed to pray out, the priest asked me to keep the prayer for a fruitful marriage within myself and I did just that. I closed my eyes and prayed inwardly for my marriage with Dalton.
He priest burnt some scented flowers and placed them in three different basins. He said I would only stop praying when the plants have brunt to ashes. I wondered when I'll be done with the prayer as the plants burnt ever so slow.
