7 Chapter 7

After giving Serena some time, Robin started to speak again. 

"So, as I told you we are kind of a family. It is still a bit of mystery as of why this happens, but there are many other people like me and you. 

The other thing is, while you touched us, you got that warm feeling, right? That's like being in a comfy blanket… Yeah, that's because of the familial bond. There's one more bond… the romantic one. You know, the stories that are told of… soulmates and all? That's what it is. There are pairs. Each pair having either the same tattoo or a complementary one. That's how we are supposed to find our 'the ones'." 

At this point, Serena burst out in tears. This time, it was because of relief. She had placed her hope onto a wrong person… There was actually someone who was waiting for her. As if realising this, she couldn't control her tears.  

Others were confused at this. She had not yet told anyone about her situation at home, so they were a bit uncertain. So, while she was getting comforted in the arms of the two girls, Serena first decided to tell them everything. There was silence while she narrated everything except when Anna was sniffing or Jamie was mumbling curses angrily. Somehow, this seemed to comfort her and helped her to complete the story. 

Though Serena had decided to be brave and had told them everything honestly, she couldn't say that while looking at their faces. So all the while she was speaking, she focused her gaze on her fingers. After she finished her story, she looked up by hearing a sound of clearing the throat. 

To her surprise, it was Sky and he was handing out a glass of water to her. 

When she met the gazes of others, they didn't say anything but smiled at her understandingly while Anna was raising her eyebrows as if to say, 'Isn't he really sweet?'

She took the glass from him and said a 'thank you' in a small voice. Sky just nodded at her and went back to his place. 

Every one of them was emotionally drenched somehow. And after noticing this Jamie cleared his throat. 

"Let's continue this tomorrow? Everyone is tired right now and Sis also needs rest. Anyway, tomorrow is the weekend. So we can talk at that time." 

"Yeah," said Anna. 

"Ok", Jane and Sky. 

Robin looked at Serena for confirmation. She also nodded. 

"Ok then, let's wrap up for today. Serena, you'll be staying with girls, of course. So, Jane and Anna can show you where you can sleep. We can talk tomorrow." 

Everyone said their goodnights and went to their rooms. As Serena was new, Jane and Anna shared one bed while she took the other one. While talking to each other, they slowly fell asleep. 

In the night, 

'We will meet soon… thank you for coming near, darling'. 

Gasp 

Serena woke up with a gasp. She felt she had dreamt of something important but she couldn't remember what. Anyway, if there was something, she'd remember it eventually, right? Thinking so, she tried to go back to sleep.
