One Odd Story 2

When Maia was already out, the other freshmen looked at the two with thrill, "Ooohh, I would always want to be noticed like that in the first day of the class session, they say it's an advantage if a professor can remember you! Did you meet them yesterday at the orientation?" One of them said and asked, "Yeah, they appreciate those students who try to recite from time to time, I'm envious with these two, they already have a good impression when we are just starting." A female student said.

*Oh yeah?* The two thought to themselves.

*Guess this girl is not around yesterday when I messed up with professor Maia.* Risty assumed.

"That might be true, but with Professor Maia, the case is different." A nerdy student interfered and everyone looked at him after he switched the mood into an eerie atmosphere.

"What exactly do you mean?" The male student from the last time asked.

"Have you heard the stories? It's not about the favourites but those who messed up with professor Maia, both teachers and students, she might have a gentle demeanor but those who caused her troubles in the past would either disappear or suddenly change, they said she is forgiving and patient but the thing that actually happened to those people, nobody knows." The nerd student said causing a chilling ambience in the room.

Risty and Annie were weakened after hearing this but they were cheered up by their classmates.

"It's okay, you just have to give the attendance to her in the faculty, you guys won't mess up, right?" A student said as she pulled out a paper from her bag and a pen, "We'll just leave our names here." She added as she wrote down her name and the other students followed.

The two cried with no tears and sound as they tap each other's shoulder while the others are busy writing their names but good thing nothing wrong happened that day, Maia received the attendance by the afternoon and smiled at the two who came to her to the faculty.

"Thank you! Do you have a class after this?" She asked the two.

Since everything is smooth so far, the two were a bit confident. "We don't have night shifts, Ma'am, our schedule is regular." Annie replied.

"Oh, that's good then! You may leave!" Maia smiled and the two nod a little and turned around in a good mood, "It will be troublesome to have a irregular schedule, right?" The best friends halted after hearing this, and both of their eyes went wide.

"Ye-yes, ma'am." They turned their head back to her and responded while they are internally screaming *AHHHHHHH!!!*, "We'll get going then." They nodded and smiled stiffly, then walk in a quick pace but as soon as they went out of the faculty they immediately sprint to the school gate screaming at each other.

"OH NO! THIS IS MY FAULT! I JUST HOPE THAT SHE HAD REALLY FORGOTTEN WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY!!!" Risty shouted at Annie as they were panting.

"AHH, JUST THE THOUGHT OF IT MAKES ME WISH I ENROLLED TO A DIFFERENT UNIVERSITY!!!" Annie replied while she catches her breath.

But the two made it out of the gate and to their dormitory alive though not well.

Maia typed something in her laptop as if she was summarizing something, and in it were the profiles of her students which include Risty and Annie, there, can be read their application forms which contain their educational and personal background.

"Risty Dela Cruz, guess I read her name from the cover page of her journal correctly, from the Northern Province and... Annie Delos Reyes from the Capital, they're not just friends, their surnames were also close, no wonder." Maia smirked and pulled out a flash drive and copied something from her laptop, exited the files and it shut down, she fixed her stuffs, checked the time which is already 8:30 in the evening and ready to leave the campus.
