a change happend in the universe. in an instant the mostly inert and mysterious dark matter activated, giving it the ability to directly interact with the physical world in more ways than just gravity do to its mass.
this activated dark energy was later called by many names mana, spiritual energy, qi, chi, life source etc. one property of this energy and matter, is that it is attracted to intelligent bio lifeforms.
do to the great influxes of energy and matter it created spatial rifts. and creatures came pouring in. but do to innate primal enmity to these creatures and rifts they came from. all of earth's living creatures fought against these creatures.
and they did just that. do to human tendency to excel in war, to gather with a unifying will to fight against a singular enemy, they slaughtered many monsters coming from the rifts. but as much as humans where good killing, their was another faction that is even better than humans in massacreing the masses, Microorganisms.
while humans where holding up the extraterrestrial creatures the Microorganisms where evolving faster and more intuitively against these extraterrestrials with the help of mana. making it deadly for these aliens to stay on earth for too long of a time.
our mc is born 50 years after the rifts have speared. with a light heat. he adventures his way into a fulfilling life.

warning!!! this story is made from boredom. their will be much fantasy fulfillment. I am also a very shitty and newbie writer as u can tell by the synopsis.
if you want a story where earth is at a great disadvantage and be snuffed by a couple strong bad guys then this isn't the story for you.
if you want a story with an edge lord MC then this story is also not for you. as this mc won't be killing humans unless he deems it necessary.
also btw, even though I might have different governments or "federation districts" make some dick moves I will never target a group of people and write them as bad people because of their colour of skin or the place they came from.
