Pushed Down On The Couch

While Wang Rouxi and Lu Sha were talking inside the kitchen, the man who had been the topic of Wang Rouxi's thoughts suddenly groaned out in pain.

Xia Jiannan furrowed his brows as he felt his headache worsening, his thin lips forming a straight line.

He felt as though a sledgehammer was continuously ramming into his head and was about to split it in half.

Reclining his back on the couch, Xia Jiannan squeezed his eyes shut and placed his left forearm over his forehead to block the light coming from the fluorescent. His right hand was gripping his trousers tightly.

This was how Wang Rouxi found him when she came back from the kitchen to get him a drink.

There was no sign of Lu Sha anymore, like he had not been there in the first place.

Holding the bottle of water in her left hand, Wang Rouxi walked over and silently observed the man.

As she was about to nudge him awake, Wang Rouxi noticed that he was sweating all over.

Her pair of beautiful eyes looked at the man in genuine concern.

It was then that she realized that Xia Jiannan's skin had turned into a slightly reddish color.

It looked like he was burning up!

Putting the bottle of water on the coffee table, Wang Rouxi leaned in to check his body temperature, just like how she did it back then inside the car.

Even though she had only slightly grazed the skin on his neck, Wang Rouxi could not help but to immediately retract her hand.

He was so hot that her fingers felt like they were on fire!

But even after Wang Rouxi had touched him, Xia Jiannan remained motionless on the couch with his eyes firmly shut close.

It was not that Xia Jiannan could not feel anything. It was just that he had sort of predicted Wang Rouxi's actions that he did not react.

Earlier, before her hand could make contact with his skin, Xia Jiannan could already smell a faint fragrance invading his nostrils.

He surmised that the alluring woman must have wanted to "wake" him up.

With his long and smooth fingers, Xia Jiannan pinned Wang Rouxi's wrists above her head as he pushed her down on the couch in one fluid movement...

"What. Do. You. Think. You. Were. Doing?" Xia Jiannan gritted through his teeth.

Her only intention then was to ease a little bit of the "sleeping" man's suffering.

Even she felt suffocated just looking at him wearing such thick layered clothing, so she didn't think twice about helping him out in removing his black coat.
