Not seeing Xia Jiannan for the time being was something that Qin Kexin could take, but not the humiliation done by that pretty man beside him.

Pretty man?

Qin Kexin wanted to slap her mouth for thinking that way. Who was pretty? Oh, right! That man was really pretty, pretty ugly!

Remembering that face only made her scowl and seethe in anger. It's ruining her beauty!

"Argh!" Her hands were itching to strangle someone and it so happened that there was a cute bunny plush by the side. The poor plushie didn't escape her wrath. It was strangled and distorted beyond recognition.

When she was done with the poor plushie, her anger alleviated a bit. But it's not enough!

"This won't do!" She huffed. "Weiwei!"

Qin Kexin's personal secretary had long been scared witless when she saw her Boss's fuming expression. Now that she was called out, Weiwei couldn't help but tremble from fear.

"Y-yes, Y-young Miss?" Weiwei stuttered, her grip on the steering wheel grew tighter.

Qin Kexin overlooked her assistant's frightened expression and ordered, "Call father now and tell him that someone bullied me!"

Weiwei couldn't help but look at her boss through the rearview mirror and she had the urge to roll her eyes. Her, bullied? It didn't seem like it. More like she's just being a spoiled brat again.

But of course, the little secretary wouldn't dare say that out loud and instead made a call to the office of the Qin Group's CEO after parking the car at the roadside.

The call quickly went through and CEO Qin's secretary got straight to the point, "Who offended the Second Young Miss?"

From his words, it could be inferred that this was already an everyday occurrence.

Weiwei sneaked a glance at her Boss and saw her staring at her intently. She didn't dare go against her though. One should not court death.

"Young Miss was fine when we went to the Xia Corporation for the endorsement signing earlier. But when she came back, she's already crying and I didn't get the chance to ask who bullied her."

Lies. It was all lies.

The secretary on the other end of the line paused for a moment before he asked, "Is the Young Miss with you?"

"Yes."

"Got it. Give the phone to her and I'll connect you to CEO Qin."

Without saying anything else, Weiwei passed the phone to Qin Kexin who snatched it from her hands.

The little assistant couldn't help but sigh. If she didn't know her identity, she would really think that this Second Young Miss of the Qin Family was a country bumpkin.

"Daddy..." Qin Kexin sobbed.

CEO Qin's worried voice sounded from the phone, "Xin'er, did someone bully you?"

"Daddy..."

Her pitiful cries seemed realistic that Weiwei wanted to clap her hands in amazement. Nothing less from someone who got nominated for the Best Actress of the Year!

"Who is it? Tell dad. I'm going to make them pay for bullying my lovely daughter!"

The corner of Qin Kexin's mouth pulled up into a smirk, but her voice still sounded pitiful as she 'hesitated', "Daddy... I don't think that's a good idea..."

"Why?!" CEO Qin instantly got worked up. "Are you afraid? Who dares to bully my, Qin Zheng's, daughter in Imperial?!"

Qin Kexin did not answer deliberately.

"Is it that Xia Jiannan? I heard that you went to Xia Corporation for an endorsement signing. Did that kid bully you? I must talk to Xia Renjian about this and have his son apologize to you in public."

"Uh n-no. Daddy, it's not Xia Jiannan."

CEO Qin, who was about to ask his secretary to contact Xia Renjian, paused in giving out his instructions. "Oh. Who is it then?"

"It's... It's... Xia Jiannan's friend!"

Qin Kexin just realized that she didn't get the name of Wang Rouxi earlier. This caused her to feel more hatred towards the guy.

"Alright then, my little girl! Stop crying and let dad handle the rest."

Hearing this, Qin Kexin beamed and a smile that was not a smile appeared on her face. "Thank you, Daddy! You're the best!"

Xia Jiannan's friend, just you wait!

Inside Wang Rouxi's car.

"Say, CEO Xia, would you like to guess where we are going?"

Wang Rouxi tried to initiate a conversation as she gave Xia Jiannan a sideways glance.

The stubborn CEO refused to sit at the back and insisted on sitting on the passenger's seat, saying something along the lines of "I'll take the shotgun. You drive. End of discussion." He even used the fact that Wang Rouxi was technically not his bodyguard anymore so it wouldn't be appropriate for him to sit at the back.

Thus, Wang Rouxi sat on the driver's seat while Xia Jiannan sat on the passenger's seat.

Xia Jiannan would usually not bother about these things, but he found himself guessing, "Hao Hua?"

Wang Rouxi smiled and made a U-turn. "Hao Hua it is then."

Seeing the car go back in the direction they came from, Xia Jiannan suddenly had a thought. He felt that even if he mentioned another place, Wang Rouxi would bring him there.

"Hold on." Xia Jiannan could not help but ask, "Where were you planning to take me originally?"

Wang Rouxi tilted her head to the side and said while looking straight at Xia Jiannan's eyes, "What do you mean? Of course I'll take you to where you want to eat. Didn't you say you'd like to eat at Hao Hua? Or did you change your mind?"

Xia Jiannan was speechless.

Was this how he courted his wife back then?

Up until now, Xia Jiannan still believed that Wang Rouxi, Di Yi rather, was a married man and so he wanted to get some tips and tricks from him about how to court women.

As if reading his thoughts, Wang Rouxi nodded her head and explained, "If you're taking out a girl on a date and aren't sure where to take her, then just make her guess where you are taking her and bring her to her first guess. It's pretty simple, right?"

Xia Jiannan examined the laid-back man from the corner of his eye and saw him wink at him... again.
