Do You Not Love Me Anymore?

As they walked inside the Xia Family Mansion, Di Yi and Di Er followed closely behind Butler Zuo who was briefing them about the things that they should have to take note of now that they would be working for Xia Jiannan.

They did not have much to say about the interior design of the mansion. It was meticulously designed, matching the prestigious background of the Xia Family.

From the gates down to the interior of the mansion, it could be said that the Xia Family really did put their all in designing the old residence.

While listening to Butler Zuo's kind reminders, Di Yi and Di Er were already familiarizing themselves with every nook and cranny of the mansion.

One look was all it took to imprint everything in their minds.

They can't be too careful when security is concerned.

Although Lu Sha was still feeling conflicted about having to work with the person he loved while she was disguised as someone who looked like him, he put those unnecessary thoughts at the back of his mind for the time being.

Personal life and professional life are two different matters.

One's professional life should not have anything to do with one's personal life and vice versa.

Butler Zuo then led them straight to the living room. "Please take a seat first as you wait for the Eldest Young Master."

"Thank you!" Di Yi said courteously as he sat on a nearby couch, Di Er following suit.

"Is there anything that would you like to drink?" Butler Zuo thoughtfully asked.

Di Yi cast a glance at Di Er, seeing that he was absentminded, he turned to Butler Zuo appreciatively. "May we have some water then?"

"Okay, I will have Ning bring in some water. If you need anything else, you may ask her assistance. I will be checking on Eldest Young Master if he is already awake. I'll be back shortly."

With that, Butler Zuo spun on his heels, leaving Di Yi and Di Er to themselves.

Not long after, a calm looking young lady brought in two glasses of water. She was not the least bit affected by the handsomeness of the twins.

"If there's nothing else, I will be in the kitchen."

"Thank you."

Lu Xi stared at Ning's retreating back for a few seconds before turning to Lu Sha who was seated beside her. She could tell that he was out of it today.

Leaning a bit closer to him, Lu Xi whispered so only the two of them could hear. "If you are not feeling well, you can take the day off. I'll handle the matters here."

Lu Sha was stunned, but he did not dare to face Lu Xi as he rigidly sat in place, looking straight ahead.

He could feel a warm flush slowly creeping up his neck at the thought of their close proximity.

Just then, Xia Jiannan walked down the stairs and he happened to see their rather intimate interaction.

For some unknown reason, the air around him suddenly grew colder when he saw this scene.

Xia Jiannan's expression turned dark instantly.

That Di Yi really reminded him of the beautiful woman from yesterday. Seeing that he was getting closer to another man, Xia Jiannan inexplicably felt jealous?!

As he was lost in his thoughts, Xia Jiannan suddenly sensed danger behind him.

With a quick maneuver, he subdued the attacker easily. Xia Jiannan twisted the assailant's right arm and pressed it behind their back.

"Aahhh! Aaahhh!" Xia Jinhu howled in pain. "Big Bro, it's me! It's me, Jinhu!"

Realizing that it was only his younger brother, Xia Jiannan released him, pinching the space between his eyebrows. "What are you doing?"

Xia Jinhu felt wronged. He did not do anything bad and yet his brother had already punished him.

He was merely reaching out to tap his brother's shoulder to snap him out of his daze and this was actually what he got for that?!

Rubbing his swollen arm, Xia Jinhu held back the tears that were threatening to spill.

He looked at Xia Jiannan with hurt and sadness in his eyes. "Do you not love me anymore?"
