1 Chapter 1

"Do you, Park Sunghun, take Sophia Astley, to be your lawfully wedded wife?", the priest asked.

"I do.", I replied with a big smile on my face.

"Do you, Sophia Astley, take Park Sunghun, to be your lawfully wedded husband?", the priest repeated the same words to the woman standing in front of me.

"I do.", she replied with a loving sweet tone.

"I announce you as Mr. and Mrs. Park! You may kiss the bride.", the priest walked a step back.

Everyone stood up ready to clap their hands to congratulate us but waiting for the right moment. I walked forward and placed my hand on my left hand on the waist of the love of my life and pulled her forward. Before placing my lips on hers. I whispered something in her ear-

"You are finally my wife, Mrs. Park.", I said with a teasing tone making her blush and hit my chest playfully.

I pressed my lips on hers and pulled away after a brief moment. The guests present there cheered and clapped their hands, congratulating us, the newlywed couples.

I wear the biggest smile on my face and hold her hand to walk down the aisle and let the reception started. Finally, I married the woman of my dreams. I can never be happier.

The whole evening went well. We laughed and joked with our family and friends and had a decent dinner. After the reception ended. We had a family party where only our families and close friends could attend. After the party ended, our families paid their farewells as well as their blessings to us and sent us off to our new home.

The whole car ride, we talked about random stuff. I could sense that she is getting nervous, so am I.

I enter the house which was already organized from last week. My father hired enough maids to keep the house clean and cook food for me and my wife. I was walking up the stairs when I felt Sophia walking behind me. I stopped in front of my room and turned back to talk to her.

"How are you feeling to be Mrs. Park?", I asked out of the blue.

"Are you interviewing me?", she giggled and asked me.

"You will have to go through a lot of interviews now. After all, you are the lucky one who got to marry the man of every girl's dreams.", I said and grabbed her by her waist. "Tell me, how you feel?"

"I feel awesome. Now leave me, Mr. Park, I want to get out of this gown.", she said and pushed me away before entering the room and closing the door behind her.

"Can I come in?", I asked as I knocked on the door.

"I'm not done!", she said from the other side of the door.

"C'mon I can see my wife while changing.", I tried opening the door but it was locked.

"I knew you would say that, so I locked the door. Sunghun, I'm not ready yet you know that very well.", she said.

"Okay, but isn't it rude making someone stand in front of the door like this?", I asked.

"Why are you like this? Come in, I'll fill the jug from the kitchen.", she opened the door to let me in and went into the kitchen to fill the water jug.

"Uff, I love this lady.", I said to myself and entered the room to change.

"Good night! Wake me up if you need something.", she said to me and turned the lights.

"I am not scared of nights, I won't wake you up. Sleep tight!", I kissed her before turning off the table lamp and drifting off to sleep.

I wake up to the loud noise outside and quickly glance through the window to see what it is. Oh heck no, it's raining, with lightning.

THUD

I flinched due to the loud sound of the thunder. I am freaking scared of thunderstorms. What am I going to do? I can't blast music in my headphones now, it's downstairs. Plus it's 3 am the time when the demons are the strongest. I am not going downstairs.

THUD

I almost jumped due to the loudness of the sound. Being scared of storms since a toddler, my mom is done with me knocking at her door every time a storm came in with puffy eyes which says I have been bawling my eyes out. Oh no, what am I going to do?

THUD

"AH!"

This time I jumped so hard with a scream making the sleeping human beside me wake up.

"Rich CEO scared of storms I see, I'll make a mental note of that.", she sat up while rubbing her eyes. She looked at me and saw my face is wet. Hah, now my wife thinks I'm a crybaby. Just great Park Sunghun, just great.

"Oh dear lord are you that scared? Come here let me give you a hug!", she said and spread her arms wide to hug me. Before she could approach me, I jumped into her arms and started bawling my eyes out.

"I am scared.", I hugged her tight.

"It's okay, I'm here. The storm's gonna end soon.", she ran her fingers through my hair to comfort me. The whole night she cuddled with me and tried to comfort me from crying.

And that's how the first night after our wedding went. While other newly-wed couples do that thing, I was crying in the arms of my wife just because of the storm. Dear storm, didn't you find a better time to come?
