This is a story of Kai's betrayal, redemption, success and love in the world of Shokugeki no Soma. This is my first time writing something so I hope you enjoy :) Although I do a grammar check before I release a chapter, please bare with me if there are any grammar/spelling mistakes that I've missed.

(Back to the story....)

[Rin POV]

I walk out of the elevator and head towards the private parking area.

"Good morning, Yamashita-sama" a voice rings out to the right of me.

"My name is Miyuki and I'll be accompanying you as your driver and bodyguard today."

The bodyguard, to my surprise, was a black-haired Japanese woman who looks no less than 20 years old.

After being slightly stunned by the beauty of the lady, I regain control of myself and slightly bow back.

"Good morning, Miyuki-san" I say, then flash a smile at her.

"I would prefer if you would just call me Rin. It will make me more comfortable if you are less formal with me."

"I will do as you say, Rin-sama."

She then opens the back right door of the car for me to enter.

'I guess I'll have to get accustomed to Japanese formality again' I roll my eyes and sigh, then enter the car.

"So Rin-sama, where will we be heading today" the beauty enters the car and turns the rear-view mirror.

"Actually Miyuki-san. I don't really have a specific destination."

I flash a smile and ask, "I haven't been to Osaka in a while and I could do with some recommendations of where to have breakfast. Do you have any?"

"Actually, I know a great place in Shinsaibashi. Would you like to go there?"

"That's okay with me. I'll be in your care" I smile back at her.

[Miyuki POV]

"So, Rin Yamashita... the 'prince' and son of Akari Yamashita" I murmur to myself whilst waiting in the private parking space for Rin.

'I can't believe my first gig after moving to Osaka is babysitting him. Well, I have heard he's quite handsome, but I heard he's quite a depressing person'

'I have been meaning to explore Osaka again but ugh… I hope it's not awkward'

"Good morning, Yamashita-sama. My name is Miyuki and I'll be your driver and bodyguard today" I say after seeing a figure leave the elevator.

'He is so handsome' I make slight eye contact and get slightly lost in the blue eyes of the silver-haired man.

"Good morning, Miyuki-san"

"And you may just call me Rin. It will make me more comfortable if you are less formal with me."

He flashes a smile at me

'God! his smile is so handsome! I've always been confident in my beauty, but I feel overshadowed by him.'

I open the car door for him and enter the driving seat myself....

'Yes!! I've wanted to go to this cafe again for a while now! I ate there a month ago and have been meaning to go there since I got back!! I hope he didn't realise my excitement; I think I played it quite coolly' I smile whilst thinking.

[Rin POV]

'I guess she's a foodie' I look in the rear-view mirror and see an ecstatic looking face on the black-haired beauty.

'I guess she forgot about the mirror'

[Hey Rin!!!! I feel like I'm in an anime! Keep looking out of the window! I want to see more of Japan. Also – Where are the subtitles!!!!]

'Amara, didn't I tell you to stop comparing everything to anime...'

[Hai Hai!]

"I suppose we are in an anime world, but Japan should be like my old world. Guess I've got to change my perspective of this world" I murmur whilst looking out the car window.

After 25 minutes, we arrive at a parking lot in the Dotonburi district...

"I figured we should park here. The cafe is only a fifteen-minute walk from here and as I have been notified you wanted to explore Osaka, we can explore Nagahoribashi and Dotonburi after getting breakfast" Miyuki says to me, looking at me through the rear-view mirror.

"I guess you can no longer keep your excitement in" I smirk at her.

"Baka" she whispers as she realises she has been exposed.

"Yes Rin-sama! I've been wanting to explore Osaka again since I only visited restaurants the last time I visited. I only just transferred from Tokyo so I haven't had the chance" Miyuki says with a smile.

"Miyuki, try to be less informal with me. Formal settings have always made me a little uncomfortable. Can you at least drop the sama suffix?" I look at her and smile.

"Don't worry about any formalities. Let's both enjoy our day together."

"Okay, but I will still refer to you as Rin-san."

"You are essentially my boss, so I think this is appropriate. But I will try to be less formal if that is what you want" she gives her final verdict then exits the car.

"So I'm guessing you know the way there, right?" I stretch my legs and look at her.

"Don't worry! The café is essentially a second home to me" she says confidently.

I follow the confident figure of Miyuki.

"Hey Miyuki, are we lost?" I ask with an amused face after walking for 20 minutes without reaching the café.

"No! no! It's around here somewhere I promise!" she replies, panic evident in her voice.

"Ah see… look it's over there. I wouldn't get lost."

I roll my eyes and look across the street and see a cafe, Hapje (ハピェ) is displayed on the window.

[Hehe, so this cafe is called Hapje. I didn't see this in the anime. Guess I have to do more research.]

'Something doesn't need to be shown in an anime for it to exist Amara….' I sigh, then follow Miyuki into the café…
