1 Chapter 1: Waking

My eyes opened, I was in an unfamiliar place with no memories to speak of. I tilted my head to look at my surroundings, all I saw was a purple curtain with stars. I decided to get up and as I did, my joints creaked, like they were metal pieces that were tied together by rust. My ears began to hurt as a high pitch hum began nearby. Ignoring my pain I looked around some more, then I realized, there aren't any lights on. I could see around me perfectly, but I couldn't see any light sources, except for outside the purple curtain.

I looked at the platform I was on and noticed that it's a stage. I opened the curtains, which revealed a room with several boxes and checkered floors, there were two windows, just two feet from the roof, the windows themselves were three feet squared, the windows were four feet apart and boarded up. The walls were red with a lively blue line running across the lower section of it. "Is anyone here?" I decided to call out, but there was no response. I decided to walk off the stage and look around some more.

After leaving the stage I turned left and saw a door, I walked through and came to the main area, it has a much bigger stage, around 30 feet long, and goes ten feet backward, the room also has eight tables in rows and columns, each one dustier than the last. The chairs were just as bad and in even more disrepair, remembering the sound from earlier, I looked at my own body. I looked down, what I saw was a pink and white sleek metal body, with some sort of grided piece of grey metal in my chest. My body is thin, with bits and pieces of my outward appearance missing, I could see inside of myself, showing rusted metal tubes and gears.

'How am I even moving?' I thought to myself as I looked behind me. Behind me was a door, barricaded with boards and boxes, clearly trying to keep something out... 'Or maybe it's to keep me in?' I thought to myself as I looked around the rest of the room. To the left of the main entrance was what appeared to be a store section, with a door behind it, which likely lead to a small storage space. and just to the right of the counter was another door. I decided to check it out, so I walked towards it.

When I opened the door, I saw a kitchen. The kitchen is in just as much disrepair as every other room, the countertops had several layers of dust stuck to them, the oven had rust and the stovetops hardly look usable. "Wherever I am, no one's visited here in years..." I mumbled to myself. I saw another door right across from me, it seems to be an industrial-strength door, made of stainless steel, though I don't know why a place like this would need one. And there was another door to my left. I decided to save the metal door for later and went to the door on the left.

When I opened it I saw a dusty wooden table, with several chairs, just as dusty as the table. on the table is a phone, though it likely doesn't work. At the back of the room is a fridge and a water cooler with stale water in the jug. I decided to pick up the Landline phone to see if it could make any calls. 'Hm, I guess I'll just input numbers until it works...' I figured I might as well try. *Ring* *Ring* *Ring* "Hello? Hello, Hello? You have called the Landline maintenance company." A man said on the phone.

"Where am I?" I asked, unsure about the response I was gonna get.

"Sir, I'm afraid I don't know, do you know your current address?" He asked me.

"No... I just woke up here, the windows are boarded, the door is barricaded, and I don't know who I am." I said to the man.

"Have you tried contacting the authorities?" He asked me, I guess he thinks I know how to call them.

"Sir, I have told you, I don't remember anything, I just woke up in this place, it looks like some restaurant." I responded.

"Sir, I have important work to do, if you don't have a complaint about your phone, I can't do anything for you." He said as he hung up.

'Well, wasn't he just swell?' I mocked him in my mind. I walked back to the main room and look towards the tables. I noticed there was a room without doors to the left and a hallway going straight. I checked out the room, though it was just some sort of bouncy castle that's indoors. I walked down the hallway, it was only about forty feet long, five feet wide, it had two doors on both sides of the hall, each door ten feet apart, they all just lead to small rooms with tables and chairs. Continuing down the hallway I came to a split area, a hall to the left and a hall to the right; the left side had a door at the end of the hall, I could hear a music box playing faintly from it, it also had three other rooms on the side walls. To the right, I could see an open space at the end of the hall, with the bathrooms just before it.

I walked down the right hall, at the end of it I saw two signs, on the right wall was the women's room, to the left, the men's room. I looked at the open space, in the right corner closest to me, there was a giant gift box with several crates around it, in the far right corner there was a small stage, and to the left, there was an entrance to some sort of ride,. I looked in and saw water and small boats, the water went about two or three feet deep, and the boats were about big enough to carry small children. I read a sign, it said, "Foxy's fun sailing adventure!" though I wasn't familiar with it.

Someone started to hum, so I turned around and what I saw was rather strange. A black figure with legs and arms as thin as sticks, its feet were pointed like it could stab something, and its hands had pointed fingers, nearly as sharp. Its neck looked to be about four inches long, and on its head, it wore a white mask, eternally smiling and blushing, with tears coming from its eyes. It hadn't noticed me so I decided to walk away while it wasn't looking. As I walked away it said something. "Oh, sorry I didn't notice you there Foxy! Or are you still adamant about being called Mr. Funtime?" He said as he chuckled a little.
