BOOK FLOWER

"I'm now finally enrolled! Huh! Juan called Jacky on the mobile phone.

" You sound tired Juan, Is it hard to enroll there? Jacky asked.

"Not really but walking in this 156 hectares of campus ground. I need a bike to transfer from room to room." Juan explained.

"What? That's a big university. Jacky said.

" How about you? Have you enrolled already? Juan asked.

"Yeah, and we have orientation today. This is our school, she transferred the camera at the back and turned 360 degrees so Juan can see the school view." Jacky in video call now.

"Wow, your school is great. Hey, I see something. What's that?" Juan asked?

" What? What did you see?" Jacky asked excitedly?

"I see the flower in your book," Juan said.

"All right! You got me. That is the flower you first gave me on the farm near the river, remember? I preserved it and put that in my book to inspire me...hmmmm." Jacky smiling.

"You really kept it? And I lost my pillow that I need to wash, it could be with bad odor you know, and Ruthie said you steal it" Juan teasing her.

"No! I did not steal it, I asked Ruthie about it. Well secretly not to tell you, hahaha. I smell it when I miss you. Are you angry? Jacky said.

" OK, I'm touched. I'm just ashamed of its odor. I hope you did not say 'Yak!' hahaha. I can't imagine how that smells." Juan said.

"No, I can smell your musk perfume in it and I always embrace it when I pray for you," Jacky said.

"Jacky, the jeepney will now go, call you next time. Bye, love you." Juan said.

Jacky checked MSU in General Santos City at Google. She finds out:

"This is a good school in Gensan" Jacky said to her Mother who fetched her at the school gate after the orientation.

"Your school? Jacky? Luz asked.

" Juan's school. See this mother, they have good passers in mechanical engineering board exams. He has enrolled already and it was a big campus, imagine 156 hectares of campus ground? Jacky said.

"Yes, it is a good university. He needs a motorcycle to survive there I think." Luz said.

"Let's go, your father has an important meeting, I want to know what happened. Let's go to eat and wait for your father there. I'll text him, he is still in the meeting I think." Luz said starting the car.

Tony canvassed a good bike for his son. He finds a Yamaha YZF R3 300 worth ₱259,000, actually Ely called him prior that he will buy it and lend it to Juan so he will not refuse it. Tony agreed but actually, it is a grant including some farm equipment like the tractor, planter, harvester, water truck. A fertilizer and water helicopter that was also a grant by their company for their business partner to supply them with spices and vegetables for their tuna products. Ely and Tony will be partners with this contract and lease farmlands for this contract. Tony will manage the operation and Ely will be the adviser.

Tony bought the motorbike as a surprise and give Juan the key.

"Juan, Ely bought a motorbike and he lends this to you, you just return it when you graduate. Take care of it son. Be careful, just drive defensively. I agreed because I know you need it in that school." Tony said giving him the key.

"What? Is that not too much, Dad? I'll take care of it. This is an unexpected and amazing blessing." Juan said.

"Where is it, Dad? The motorcycle? Juan asked.

"It is being set up you can get it tomorrow," Tony said.

"Have a seminar first and get your license to drive that you applied last month. Practice and know the basics of maintaining it in good condition. My farm equipment will also arrive next week and I can get it after the customs inspect it. I will be busy with the land lease and the meeting of farmers for our new vegetables and spices business. Help me with your brother and sister's enrollment, Can you manage it?"Tony asked.

" Sure Dad, blessings are starting to pour in your direction Dad, Thank God. Juan said.

Jacky bought some books she is required in school in the school book store. She bought with it some book covers and in each book, she put preserved dried flowers in a branch as a marker which is from the flowers Juan gave her.

An old elementary school day friend Yuma, she met in the book store asked where the flowers came from.

" It's from General Santos City Yuma. It's given to me by a special guy." Jacky answered.

"If the attraction and affection last more than four months, then it is love," Yuma commented.

"Is that so, Yuma? I have this feeling and I had confirmed I care for him about 6 months before our graduation. But we had no official relationship. Both of us felt we love each other and declared it after graduation that we felt tortured to be separated. So we made some arrangements and agreements on what to do to be inspired rather than destructed in our studies." Jacky explained to her friend.

"It's good to hear that and I'm happy to see you again. See you." Yuma said goodbye and went to the library. Jacky plans to go home because it's already evening.

"Jacky, I will fetch you, we will go to the hospital. Let's check your brother he was hurt in their operation. I don't have the details. Wait for me at the school gate." Luz called.

"What? My brother? OK, I'll wait Mom" Jacky replied.

"Mom, what happened? As Jacky climb inside the car.

" I heard from the radio that the army was deployed to help the police guard the US embassy from terrorist attack, Let's find out because your brother's companion called me he is hurt but he does not have the details," Luz explained.
