Finishing the First Task

"No." A cold voice was heard and the warm hand I was holding broke free. A stab in the heart. I looked at Vira's face with a hurt expression. I hope she didn't hate me like in one of those dreams. Her face wasn't showing any grand expression. "I never heard of you and don't know who you are so I have no choice but to refuse. Now then, I shall go see my boyfriend."

I bit my lip and looked at the ground. I got rejected twice. I didn't even know she had a boyfriend… Does that mean there is no way she will love me back? My heart is aching. My legs betrayed me and I fell on my knees. I looked like a puppet whose strings were broken. I could still be her friend if I try to make her notice me but… but she will never love me. Why did the system suddenly appear in front of my eyes? Oh it wasn't when I woke up. I can't have a staring contest with the floor now. I see that my task decided to show itself. Why can't I see the reward for completing them? Why is the system so mean to me? I thought it would try to be nice seeing I got rejected forever. I punched the system. Mabe I get it when I drink? But I drank a lot of water so I should have a lot of points… well I do have a lot but they didn't grow that much. I got up from the ground while wiping the traces left of my tear. I looked at where Vira was. I will become stronger than your boyfriend. I marched to the sink, grabbed the cup with flames in my eyes and filled the cup. I stared at the cup with flames in my eyes. "It's just you and me." I chugged it all down. I keep repeating this while looking at the fluidity points. After 8 cups, I wasn't losing hope but instead I was smiling. I felt like I was in the right direction. At my 10th cup of water, I finally got a fluidity point. "Haha! I knew it wasn't that hard!"

This system is made especially for me. Drinking water all day and getting points. That's paradise. I look at the task and see no change in them. Why doesn't it show how much I gained. Why the lack of information. I punched the system. I'm sure it's doing it on purpose. I look back up at the FP. Only 40 cups of water to drink left to get a task done. Easy right? I drink water until morning. I saw Vira leave but I was too focused to get my task done.

When I finished the task the annoying blub thing appeared.

"Blub yourself." I got out of the nurse's office and walked towards Ada's room. I knocked on her door. No answer. I waited for a few minutes. Still no answer. I started banging and kicked at her door. "Ada! Wake up Ada!"

I heard things falling down. Ada opened the door with a frown and her hair all messed up. She didn't have time to open her mouth when I pushed her and entered. "I got my first task done!" She slowly turned from the closed door to face me. "Praise me!" I saw her gaze leave me and look at a clock. "Did you wake me up just to get praised?" She said that but patted my head. "There. You did a good job."

"No, I also came to ask for your blood." Ada almost choked. She looked at her bed and got in, putting her blanket over her face. I blinked. Is that a yes she will help or no and she is ignoring me? I got over her bed, sat down on her and jumped. "Now, help me now! I want to do the tasks!"

"Kya! Stop! I will, I will, so stop! I'm awake. Get off and don't break my bed." I got off her and sat next to her. She got up and stomped to the bathroom. Before entering, she let out "You almost killed me." Then she slapped the door. I waited impatiently for her to come back and help me. Ada's room has the same things as me but unlike me, she put in effort to decorate her room. By that I mean she has posters of… Group of girls. I don't know who they are. The walls are a pale purple and it matches with her dark purple blanket. She has a small desk with school books on it. Oh, it seems like she might have done some homework yesterday. Wait, when did we have homework?

I shrugged and looked at the time. She's been in that bathroom for 10 minutes already. She is so slow.

The door opened. "You're slow." She no longer looked like she just woke up, she was wearing her school uniform. "And you should bathe and change. I can lend you one of my uniforms." "Not now. Now I want to taste your blood!" Ada blushed. "Are you a vampire? I won't help you if you say nonsense." "Then I have to find my other friends and waste time on finding out how my system works. I could beat someone and drink their blood to see…"

"You win." I smiled at Ada. She came to me and gave me her arm. "There. You can drink but if nothing happens, you will pay for it." I took her hand and looked at her wrist. Was I supposed to just bite? But I never bit someone that hard. If we don't count in my dreams…

I slightly bit Ada wrist. How am I supposed to bite? I thought about that while nibbling her wrist. "H-hey! Stop playing." Fine. I randomly bit her wrist hard. "Ouch!" She snatched her hand away and rubbed her wrist. "That hurt!" "But in the dream it didn't… I don't have sharp teeth to easily cut your skin..." "Ok. It's not your fault. I'll help but you better stop saying I'm slow or I won't." I nodded but promised nothing.

Ada walked to her desk and took scissors. I followed her. She looked at her wrist then scissors. "How deep… should it be?" "Deep enough for me to at least get a mouth full of blood!" I heard Ada gulp. "Do you want to cut it instead?" I just looked at her. "I-it looks weird." I keep staring at her. "Just cause we are friends!" She swung the scissors and cut her arm.

I saw her face go pale while she was staring at the blood. I grabbed her arm and quickly sucked the blood. Because even if she displayed such a spectacle, the cut was light and there wasn't that much blood. I didn't want to lose. I think I would die if I don't get a FP after all this.
