2 The Irregular Test

'It's rough' is what came to my mind as I ran my fingers across the patterns on the now open gates. Taking my hand off the left portion of the gate I start walking in as I come across a long corridor with murals engraved on both sides of its walls. 'So this is what the entrance of the Tower looks like', I thought before getting this weird feeling of heaviness, as if there was something around me, flowing, it was like air but at the same time not like air at all, it was at this time that I realized that this much be a trace of Shinsu since I'm already in the Tower. Silvanius said I had immense talent for Shinsu which I half believed since my Shinsu reserves even before entering the Tower were at the same level of a C-Rank Regular; not to mention I already felt like I could control Shinsu as I liked, even compressing it or giving it a shape to create a Baang or go much beyond that and create a Shinsu Control Style of my own.

'Maybe I should give it a try', I thought to myself as I realized that I will definitely face Headon's Test for Irregulars and unlike others who had help I would have to face the White Eel all by myself at the risk of possible death because Headon had a particular dislike for Irregulars, False Irregulars like Rachel are not included.

I start concentrating on the increasing amount of Shinsu I started to feel as I kept walking in, I willed for it to appear before me and coil itself around me as a snake would and then it happened, Shinsu which was invisible and intangible until now suddenly materialized as waves of water coiled around my body.

'So it was true Irregulars could use Shinsu without forming a contract.' I thought to myself as I confirmed this well known fact,

'Huh? What's going on? Why is my Shinsu black?' I thought to myself as I was confused by the sight in front of me, Shinsu is in the form of blue water, which is known as it's purest form but my Shinsu, albeit still water, has black colour instead of the usual blue, it was quite obviously black water. But I didn't give it too much attention after all I'm an Irregular and this should be commonplace for me not to mention I had at least 4 unconfirmed Shinsu Qualities, more than Khun Eduan. Makes me wonder if this is what Silvanius meant by me being talented. Nevertheless I still started manipulating the Shinsu around me.

Shinsu Control: Formless Style- Dragon Head

As I muttered this to myself in my heart and imagined the Shinsu around me to follow my will I saw the topmost part of my black Shinsu taking the form of an Eastern Dragon before charging at the wall to my right and crashing into it which cause a mini explosion.

*Whistles* "Whoaaa… that is certainly powerful."

Even though it caused zero damage to the wall whatsoever I could tell it was way too powerful, powerful enough to at least let me easily become the strongest Regular on 2nd Floor. Not to mention it was something I came up with casually and never imagined it to become an actual attack of mine.

"Okay, now that I'm done with that, let's meet that rabbit ear rat Headon." I mumble to myself as I realize I'm infinitely close to where he resides.

POV Headon

It was just another normal day for me, choosing Regulars to take this Test, this year was certainly rare as there were sons and daughters of Family Heads climbing the Tower this year, include Princess Adori Jahad and the current strongest Princess of Jahad Eurasia Enne Jahad and you will have to yourself a list of possible High Rankers in Top 100s. It was almost the perfect start for me, why do I say almost, well because as I was doing my job a certain tremor was felt through the whole 1st Floor and I received a message from the Tower that an Irregular had come in the Tower, an Irregular the Tower didn't open it's doors for. I was shocked when I learned that an Irregular had barged in the Tower which was not something anyone could do.

So here I was waiting for the Irregular to come to me while wondering as to what kind of individual would he be, would he be easy to manipulate like Jahad and others or would he be like that V and Arlen, I certainly hope that he isn't a Joker Card.

*Step* *Step*

I heard the sounds of footsteps which interrupted my thinking causing me look up at the individual who walked in and it was at that moment that I realized that the Tower was going to change, I didn't know what kind of person this Irregular was, but the moment I looked into his eyes and felt the Shinsu around him I realized that a monster had entered the Tower. Just the density of Shinsu around him was much more denser than a D-Rank Regular.

-----------

"Welcome to the Tower, my name is Headon and I'm the Caretaker and Administrator of the 1st Floor, pardon me for saying this but you're certainly a very talented Irregular and I'm certainly curious as to what you will bring to the Tower; and what the Tower will bring to you, do you desire power? Do you desire endless eternal life? Do yo----" Headon was interrupted before he could finish his iconic introduction to the Tower.

"Shut up, stop talking, I have no interest whatsoever in your blabbering or what this little Tower has to offer. Unlike those Irregulars before me I'm only here to reach the top of the Tower and get some answers. So hurry up and finish whatever formalities there are." Said Chrono who was visibly irritated.

"Hoh? You're quite feisty one aren't you---Wait a second, how can you speak--- is that a pocket I see?!!! Eek! Is that an S Rank Pocket? They aren't supposed to exist for a Regular!!! Why do you have it!!?" muttered Headon who was visibly shocked looking at the small floating black ball next to Chrono.

"So you understand who you're dealing with I believe, now back to the topic, send me to take the Test." Said Chrono indifferently.

"Hmm, I do but you're still a feisty one, I know you wish to climb the Tower as soon as possible but before that you need to pass a little test of mine, then again with your ability, it's going to be easy to pass."

"If you know that I'm capable enough to easily pass the test then why are you even asking me to give it? Are you on idiot?"

"Hohoho, I didn't know you had quite the sense of humor too, allow me to introduce myself again, Caretaker and Administrator of 1st Floor, Headon."

"Chrono."

"Uhh…? Well okay then, Mr. Chrono, the test I'm going to give you is called the Ball Test, it's actually very simple, all you have to do is enter this cage behind me and destroy the ball guarded by a Shinheuh, the White Steel Eel." Said Headon before pointing to the aquarium like cage behind him where the infamous White Steel Eel was sleeping.

"Okay send me in then." Said Chrono who didn't want to waste any time.

"Hoho, very well Mr. Chrono." Said Headon before waving his hand following which Chrono appeared right inside the cage undisturbed by the immense density of Shinsu comparable to the 20th Floor.

-----

POV Chrono:

I looked at the now awake White Steel Eel which was rapidly advancing towards myself as I thought of a very cool and visually impacting move from ToG and another very basic but powerful one and decided to go with those two to quickly end this farce.

I looked at the rapidly advancing Shinheuh before raising my hand towards it.

Remote Reverse Flow Control

The massive figure of the White Steel Eel suddenly froze as it looked terrified and confused as to what was happening to it. I continued again before giving it a chance to react.

Baang

As I uttered the word, 50 pitch black balls of Shinsu appeared above me. I was honestly surprised by the amount of Baangs I could conjure at a time. Then following my order, those 50 Baangs ruthlessly bombarded the Shinheuh into oblivion.

-----

Headon looked at the figure that appeared inside his cage standing calmly as his Shinheuh rapidly moved towards him to finish him wondering what would happen next.

"Remote Reverse Flow Control"

Headon almost lost his balance as he himself doubted what he seeing. An Irregular without any training whatsoever just performed a technique that even High Rankers cannot easily perform.

"Baang"

Not giving Headon the chance to process what happened 50 Baangs appeared above Chrono's head before bombarding the White Steel Eel.

"Wh-What's going on? How can he possibly have so many Baangs, and what the hell is up with that Remote Reverse Flow Control!!? How did he do that?!" Headon was utterly shocked, which he should be because what Chrono pulled off in front of him was something he had never seen before, not once.

Headon look at Chrono who walked to the ball at the center of the cage before conjuring a Baang and destroying it and with that completing his Irregular Test.
