1 Chapter 1

'What the hell? Where is all the light coming from? Where was I last again?' as the man's mind slowly cleared, he started cursing, 'Oh my god, Shit! I should have known better than to get drunk and drive! Man, I hope nobody got hurt! And am I dead? I definitely remember crashing, but the details are blurry.'

"Ho? Looks like this one has a good heart, unlike the other ones I have met. They typically check and care about themselves without considering the effect they had on other mortals"

Turning around to see who was talking, he couldn't help blurting out,

"What!? Holy shit, dude you are huge!"

And he was. The person he was talking to looked a lot like an elf, and was over 12 feet tall, and had an athletic body. He wore what looked like luxurious white robes with golden trimmings. He also projected an aura that felt like a blade and was having a very suffocating presence.

"Haha haha, you are a funny mortal. Normally, your kind would start to either shake in fear, or try to hide the fear by acting all angry. You are a lot calmer than the other ones I have met recently."

"Well, I figured if I died then anything after my death is totally out of my control. Also, what do you mean by saying that I have a good heart? How do you know when this is our first meeting and we haven't even talked yet? Can you read my mind? If so, you should know how I died, do you know if I hurt anybody in the process?"

"Yes, I can read your mind. No, nobody was hurt in the accident, you just crashed into guardrails and fell down the mountain, because let me see the reasons for your actions…..pfft…. bwahahaha , you wanted to drift like in initial d?!"

"Oh wow, yeah, that was a dumb decision on my part, you know alcohol impairs judgement so how much time has passed since I died and what now?"

"Hmm, around 50 years of your planetary time has passed I think, and before you ask you don't need to worry about your family and friends, they all have had a very happy life, though your soul mate had a very bitter life, she had three failed marriages and no children."

"What!? Soul mates? You mean they are real? Man, now I feel like going back just so I can find her and live to full age. I wonder how life with her would be like. I always wanted to have a partner who I could live the rest of my life with."

"Bwahahaha, you are such a wuss."

"What!? Just because I am a bit sappy kind of guy you don't need to laugh at me."

"No, no, I am laughing for a very different reason. Anyway, I am what you call a R.O.B and based on your memories I think you understand what is going to happen?"

"Yes, yes! I have read enough fiction to know where this is going. So do I get to choose the world I will go to or is it pre-selected?"

"Sorry, I choose that one. You are going to a Star Wars world, in which the force is a little different"

"Different? Different how?"

"Well, I guess I can give you a single tip. In this galaxy, the dark side and light side aren't anathemas to each other. So, you don't have to worry about cleansing the galaxy of the dark side or something similar. The dark side here works on pure emotional energy, while the light side works on pure willpower. There is also no degradation if you use the dark side of the force.

But that is all I will tell you, now since I choose the world, I will let you get some benefits. Here you have 1000 points and this is a list of perks from all the fictional worlds you know. I will tell you right now, anything that does not agree with the world laws of Star Wars has been removed and you don't need to be in a hurry to choose as there is no time limit."

Then R.O.B gave an iPad on which all the things were there to buy from. After spending some time thinking about it, he finally picked his options and said

(A.N. I am too lazy to create a CYOA, so just assume the MC will choose what he feels is best for him)

"Hey R.O.B I finished picking what I wanted. Man, I am regretting not seeing or reading more sci-fi stories other than halo, mass effect and Star Wars right now, I have always been a more fantasy guy. Also, why does the experimental birth option only have humans, or near humans? And during which time period are some of these knowledge packs from?"

"Hmm, the experimental birth is because your soul may cause a rejection in an alien body that is completely different from what you were before and on the off-chance it does, I am not fond of losing a mortal soul that I took great effort into acquiring. The knowledge pack you are asking about is the Halo knowledge pack, right? it will be based on your latest knowledge so Halo 5.

So, then your choices are: Halo humanity Knowledge pack for 600 points, Breeding pair of Huragoks for 200 points, Mind palace Occlumency technique for 100 points, 50 points for Experimental birth (10 points for each species) (Arkanian+Sephi+Kiffari+Mirualka+Chiss) and 50 points Assassins creed knowledge pack."

"Yes." while screaming internally he repeatedly chanted internally: 'Please say ok, please say ok, please say ok.'

"Hmm, Ok, while your efforts were commendable, your effort to fool me has been in vain. As I can literally read your mind, I know your entire thought process during your selection.

You selected the Assassin's Creed option because you thought you could get the knowledge to build an animus. But you should have paid more caution and continued to scroll through the complete list. If you had done so, you would have seen that the Assassin Creed technological knowledge was a separate option. So know you are stuck with just the non-technological knowledge."

"Ah, Shit!"

"Bwahaha, don't be so disappointed kid, I will throw you a bone. Technically, all the things they learned about the human body is not considered technological knowledge and is considered biological knowledge, so you will still get that. Though if I were in your place, I would have chosen the element zero theoretical knowledge as that would have given you the ability to create your own eezo."

"Ah! I took a gamble and it looks like it has failed. Thank you anyway for the chance R.O.B!"

"That's fine, but you should probably not take such a risk if you ever meet another R.O.B like me ever again. Now off you go!"

"Thank you again R.O.B for the second chance!"

As the soul disappeared, the R.O.B waved his hand, and suddenly there was another soul.

"So, what is your first impression of your soul mate?"

"He feels a little too optimistic, and he is definitely sappy guy, but…. I don't mind sappiness, I suppose. "

"But are you happy that out of your 1500 points, you gave him 1000 points to choose and 300 points to keep his memory intact? You yourself have only kept 200 points to select, and you choose to have a high force sensitivity, being a hapan, and to regain memory only if you truly fall in love?"

"Yeah, after the life I have lived, I feel as if I have become a little jaded. if he is truly my soul mate, then he will eventually come to me, and I didn't watch that many shows or fiction to effectively use those 1000 points anyway."

"Hmm, You mortals make amusing choices, then since you have made your choice off you go!" R.O.B finished as he waved his hand and the soul disappeared.
