"You don't lack anything. You are beyond perfect," Chloe answered subconsciously. With Adam so close to her, she had lost her sense of reasoning and control over her body and mind.

"Do you think so?" Adam questioned faking pain in his eyes.

Chloe's felt a squeeze in her heart seeing the look on his face. She could not understand how someone could turn down someone as lovable as Adam Ross. Even if not for the love he had for the girl, the girl should have accepted him for his status and wealth. That way she wouldn't have to see such a face on her beloved.

"I do," she replied.

"I just don't understand how she could turn me down when I love her so much," Adam said and leaned his head down on her shoulder, he sounded like he was crying. Chloe was brought out of her trance. She had the urge of pulling Adam into a deep hug to comfort him but she didn't want to appear as though she was taking advantage of him.
