29 Guilt trip

On the other side, Luna was sitting at the dining table, not uttering a word. She was quietly eating her food. She was trying to make her presence as negligent as possible. 

"How is Miss Long?" Her father, Feng Siyan asked in his monotonous cold voice. 

Luna snickered. "She would raise hell if she heard you calling her Miss Long."

His cold expression softened a bit. There was no doubt that he loved the children of the Tang and Long families like his own. It was also the reason why those children would scrunch up their noses if he called them by their formal titles. 

"Did he call you here?" Luna asked. By he, she meant Tang Zhixin, the devil that she hated. Of course, he called her dearest daddy here. Was it even a question?  "He told you I'm here, didn't he!" 

"You have a colourful mind, " Feng Siyan said with a scoff. "Do you really think I didn't know where you were all this while? You are my only child. I always know about your whereabouts. I came running after I found out that you are locked here. I'm here just to tell him to let you go. He doesn't need to hold on to you anymore."

"Why are you saying as if there is something between us?" Luna grumbled as she attacked the pea on the plate with the dork in anger. Hold on to her anymore? When had he ever held her in the first place? 

"There is not?" He asked in a dangerously low tone. 

"Dad, there is a difference between love and lust, " Luna grumbled under her breath. 

Feng Siyan took a deep breath as he listened to his daughter's explanation. It might be awkward for a father to hear such things about his daughter but thankfully it wasn't the case with him. He had raised Luna single-handedly and so he was never shy with her. The things that his daughter talked about could blow anyone's mind… 

They say Luna was like this because of her friendship with Zuni but he knew that his daughter and Zuni were peas in the same pod. Wasn't it the reason for their bizarre friendship that was out of anyone's understanding? 

"Don't give me that look, " Luna said with a wronged look on her face. "I'm a baby of lust. I know this."

"You are a baby of love, " Feng Siyan stressed for the nth time.  "Just because your mom was not in the picture doesn't mean you aren't loved. You have a loving family."

"I only have one mom," Luna said in an angry tone. "That woman is not my mom. She only gave birth to me. Alicia Long is the only mom I recognise." Taking a small pause, "Can you please not insist on making me marry Tang Zhixin? He doesn't love me. And marrying him has so many cons. One of them is that I will lose my family. If I and the devil can't handle the marriage, Alicia mom will hate me. After all, the devil is her real son and I'm just a nominal daughter."

Feng Siyan sighed. "Don't regret it when he marries someone else."

"Who will regret not marrying that devil?" Luna scoffed. She paused for a moment and then said, "He is marrying someone else? Who? Why? When? And how?!"

"Stop calling Lord Tang devil!" Feng Siyan pointed out. 

'I'm just calling a devil a devil, "Luna rolled her eyes. 

"Uncle Siyan…"

Luna shut her mouth and bowed her head when she heard that smokey voice. The devil had a devilish voice. She was not looking at him at all. She didn't bother to glance at him while he took a seat next to her. 

Before Feng Siyan could initiate a conversation, he got an important call. "Excuse me."

"You are getting married, " Luna asked him without beating around the bush. "Dad said you are getting married. Who are you getting married to? Why are you getting married? When are you getting married? Do I know her? How does she look? Is she more pretty than me? Does she know how bad you are in bed?"

"Woman, "Tang Zhixin said through gritted teeth.

"Zuni was right, if you attack a man's power in bed, even an iceman like you will melt, " Luna said, being very proud of herself. She had an urge to pat herself. 

"I didn't know a woman would become so unreasonable in jealousy, " Tang Zhixin commented. 

"Who is jealous?" Luna growled at him. "Me? Nah! Not at all. If I wanted you that bad, why would I leave you?"

"Feng Lixue, stop fooling yourself, " Tang Zhixin said in a soft voice. "Mend your relationship with your dad while you have time. What if you pushed him so far away that you can't get him back? What will you do? It's never late to admit your wrongdoing. You can return with him or do whatever you want to do, don't hate him on my account."

"Wow, congratulations, you succeeded in guilt-tripping me, "Luna said as she left the table to find her father.
