34 Caring Hubby

After Zuni, Song Jingren arrived at the office.  When he saw his wife wiping her tears, he frowned. Did she see another dream again? Should he console her? Or should he ignore her and walk straight to his office? What should he do? 

If he walked straight to his office, he wouldn't be able to work. He knew that his attention would be stuck on her. Thus, he did the unthinkable. 

He walked to her and sat on the chair next to her. 

"What's up with you?" Song Jingren asked. He wanted to sound as detached as possible. Only if it was possible.  "Why this water work so early in the morning?"

"Periods, " Zuni whispered as she wiped her disobedient tears. "I'm Zuni Long. I make people cry but periods make me cry. I talked to my brother number three. I miss him so much."

"If you miss your family so much why don't you go to meet them?" Song Jingren genuinely asked her. "Your family sounds very loving and caring."

"Hubby, my family is not normal, " Zuni said. "I…I can't explain to you what it is. My brothers are angry with me to the point of not taking my calls. I'm losing everyone. I think I'm going to be alone. I am so bad that I deserve to live alone."

Song Jingren rubbed her back. "This is your period talking. I know you are going to be moody and emotional. Take a day off."

"With my measly salary, how can I dare to take a day off?" Zuni pouted. "Moreover, I don't want to be alone. I will just work like all other employees in the office."

"I will sponsor your shopping spree if you want, " Song Jingren gave her the bait. "Whatever you buy today, I will pay for it."

Zuni looked at her with sparkling eyes. "Really?"

Song Jingren nodded his head. 

Zuni smiled brightly at him, "Thank you so much for caring, Hubby. But I am fine. I don't want to go shopping."

The reason why she always asked him for his black card was just to get noticed by her. Today, he was worried enough for her to give her his black card without any questions. Her heart brimmed with happiness. The pain that she was feeling shooed away when she saw his caring face. 

"Hubby, I will work hard and make you proud, " Zuni smiled at him. She offered him flying kisses and sent him back to his office to earn more money. 

"Why are you so happy?" Liu Jingjing asked as she reached the office and saw Zuni smiling at her computer screen. 

"None of your business, " Zuni singsonged. She hummed, ignoring a certain bitch, "The wheels on the bus go round and round. The black crows hovering over me do caw and caw and caw."

Liu Jingjing stomped on her feet and pointed her finger at Zuni, "You bitch!"

Zuni sang, "The bitches in the office go bark bark bark."

"What's happening here?" Song Jingren stood at his office door and looked at Liu Jingjing and Zuni. His wife was already in pain and he didn't want someone else to come and poke their fingers at her sore point. 

Before Liu Jingjing could complain, Zuni sang looking at her husband, "The wifeys in the office say I love you!"

Song Jingren helplessly sighed and turned his head to go back to his office as he knew that she was in a good mood. A beautiful smile bloomed on his lips for no reason. 

"You are such a slut, " Liu Jingjing pointed her finger at Zuni. "Still thinking of seducing Cousin Song Jingren."

Zuni turned off her Bluetooth and let the music play in the office environment. 

'Rain, Rain go away. Come again another day.'

"You can go away with your little stuck-up ass and shove all the issues that you have with beautiful and amazing me down your ass crack, " Zuni kindly said with a bright smile. "Don't come again. You are not welcomed in Long Reine's exotic world, Ass worm. Have a tragic day, ass worm. May you fall in a pothole and break your feet and ruin your obnoxious face."

She waved goodbye to Liu Jingjing and sat back at her desk to complete her work. According to Amanda, if she translated all the files before lunch, she could leave early. She had to meet her brother Long Lei and for that, she must complete her work soon. 

Inside Song Jingren was worried sick as he saw his pitiful wife working without taking a break. How much would she work in the single hour?

"Sir, you have a lunch meeting with the president of AX industries, " Amanda said as his eyes were still on a certain someone working too hard. 

"Amanda?" Song Jingren called out her name. 

"Yes, sir?"

"Announce that every woman in the company can avail three consecutive days off every month as menstruation leave, "Song Jingren announced, shocking his head secretary.

Special Assistant Lu, who happened to hear this news said with a smile, " What about us man, President Song?"

"Do you have to experience deadly menstruation pain? Childbirth? Breastfeeding?" Song Jingren asked, rendering the man speechless. "When you have to experience all these things, you can claim the leave too."

Special Assistant Lu pouted. He had not taken a day off in years. How stingy this boss of his was!
