CHAPTER 47 – The One I Saw

Bright light seeped into the room through the windows, adding to the already blinding effect the bulb in the room gave off.

Ever slowly, Raven's lashes fluttered open and shut close almost immediately. 

She had not been expecting the curtains to be left open so early in the morning. But when the thought of the light came to mind, her eyes snapped open automatically as she rose into a sitting position.

It was not the early morning rays she had thought it to be, instead, it was the sharp rays from the sun seeping brightly into her room.

"What?"

Seconds after she let out her confusion, a sharp pain coursed through her head as she felt it throb with an intense headache. 

She had thought she passed out a bit for some hours, but from the looks of it, she may have used a full day of sleeping.
