Just like the sound of broken glass, the trance Raven placed herself in broke instantly.

"I never knew you were cannibalistic," Xavier added. 

His eyes remained closed as though he never uttered those words out loud. Raven was far beyond speechless by what she heard.

She could not blame him for the words being said. Had she seen the look on her face while she admired him. 

Irrespective though, she felt his words were harsh. It was expected for him to feel happy someone admired him, especially with how dangerous he was.

But no. It was useless of her to hope for any kind of reaction in the first place.

"Huh?"

"You were offered food, yet you never showed this kind of expression on your face and even refused to eat. If I didn't know better, I would have thought you were eating me with your eyes."
