PART 3
Narrator: Namaste readers! Previously on FIX WITH SIX, the 6 friends had enrolled themselves in various competitions. While Scarlet, Daisy, and Ken were unable to figure out what video to make for the BEST YOUTUBER CONTEST held in their locality, Crystal, Nick and Spark were facing a tough time getting along as a team for the Aero-Space contest. Let's see what happens next…
(At home)
Daisy: Oh god! We just have 10 minutes until the deadline, after which our video won't be taken into consideration for the contest! And for the record, we haven't made a single video properly! 😨
Ken: don't worry guys we still have 10 minutes; we will figure something out! 😅
Scarlet: no, we can't Ken! we tried everything on your list…dance, music, poem, art, cooking, everything! yet nothing seemed to fit into our shoes and honestly, I am tired now, not in a mood to try anything else! 😞
Daisy: Same here! Ken, the fact is that we don't possess any skills in fine arts and it's not like you can train us to magically master any of those skills within such a short tenure and impress all the viewers! 😞
(Suddenly an idea strikes Ken's mind)
Ken: well, I won't take the risk of training you but I can surely help you impress the viewers! 😉
Scarlet: And how exactly will you do that?! 🤔
Daisy: If you are thinking of faking our videos, take that thought out of your head! We told you we want to play fair! 🤨
Ken: No, I am not going to do that! I have something else in my mind…come along! 😁
Narrator: hmm…what's going on in his mind? How are they going to fix their problem? Let's wait and see. Meanwhile, shall we meet the other 3?
(At school, Spark meets Miss Jasmine)
Spark: Excuse me, Miss Jasmine…
Jasmine: Spark, what brings you here child, shouldn't you be working on your project with your team?
Spark: yes, about that…Is it possible for you to shift me to team 4, I heard that the team has only 2 members in it, so I can be the 3rd member! 😅
Jasmine: But why? What's wrong with your current team? You have Nick and Crystal, aren't they your friends?
Spark: They are, and I love my friends but…but you see, they are kind of weak in the subject of science and they aren't really the perfect team-mates required to win this contest and besides, now they won't work with me either! So Could you please let me be in team 4! 😅
Jasmine: Well, it is against the rules of the contest to change teams. However, since team 4 also requested a 3rd member in their team I can make an exception and send you to them.
Spark: Thank you, Miss Jasmine! 🤗
(She takes him to his new team)
Jasmine: Kids, meet your 3rd team member- Spark! And Spark meet your teammates- Jack and Gina! Hope you kids get along well, All the Best!
(Miss Jasmine leaves)
Spark: Hey Guys! Nice meeting you both…
(The 2 kids engrossed in their work, paying no attention to him)
Spark: Well…you guys look busy😁, what are you working on?
(They hand him the blueprint of their model)
Spark: WOW! 🤩 This is cool! And complicated to build! Will we be able to make it!
Gina: Look Snark,
Spark: It's actually 'Spark'
Gina (with pride): yeah, whatever😏! We are team GENIUS; we can make anything happen!
Spark: you guys are the perfect teammates I was longing for🤩! Anyways, I have few ideas that we can add to our project maybe…
Jack: No time for your ideas Spark, please stick to our plan and do as we say! 😐
Spark (little disappointed): okay😩! Then tell me, Should I start working on the base?
Gina: Jack's doing it…
Spark: then the body?
Gina: I am doing it.
Spark: Then the presentation?
Gina: We already finished it.
Spark: then, what am I supposed to do? You said you needed a 3rd member, right? 😟
Jack: Well, 😅…yes, we did need a helping hand in our project…
Gina: Cut to the point JACK! 🙄We needed someone who can help us with the tools and everything when we need them. So, that's what you are supposed to do! Can you do that? 🤨
Spark: So, basically you needed a helper and not a teammate! 😠
Jack: Don't get offended Spark! You have joined our team a bit late and hence that's the only work we can assign to you now😅…
Gina: And besides, don't you want to win the contest?!😏
Spark: Well, yes, but…
Gina: That's it then if you work with us, we guarantee you the AEROSPACE TROPHY! 😉
Spark (in his mind): Well, I don't like this job! 😩If I were in my previous team, I would have been leading my group but, these guys are super intelligent so I have to stay in this group if I have to win the trophy!
Gina: So, are you in?
Spark: Well, okay! 👍
Gina: Great! Now can you please pass me those wires! 👆
Jack: And I need those LED bulbs, there👉…
(Spark 😩sighs and very unwillingly continues doing his job)
(After a while, Miss Jasmine arrives)
Jasmine: Kids, how are you all getting along? 😃
All: Well, miss Jasmine! 😊😊😊
Jasmine: Nice to hear that! Anyways, I just want to know whether you have a spare screwdriver, team Gravity lost theirs and they need it for their project! If you do, please lend them one.
(Spark reaches out towards the screwdriver when Gina stops him🤫)
Gina: Sorry miss, we don't have any! 😓
Jasmine: Oh, no issues, continue with your project!
(She leaves)
Spark: 😟Why did you stop me, Gina? We had a spare one right!
Gina: Yes, but we are in a competition right now, so we cannot help our opponents!
Spark: But they are my friends😟! How can I not help them?
Jack: NO SPARK! 😬 Right now, you have no friends! You only have opponents! And if they have lost something, that is due to their carelessness, so it is their responsibility to fix their problem! Understood!
(Spark hesitantly nods his head😞)
(a while later)
Spark: Guys, I need to use the washroom, I will be back soon!
Jack: Okay, but be quick!
Spark: 👍
Narrator: Wait a minute, he is not heading towards the washroom, then where is he going? 🤔
(Sparks heads towards team gravity's room and slowly peeps through the window)
Nick: This is not as easy as we thought Crystal, I think we should take something simpler and something which doesn't require a screwdriver!
Crystal: We have already searched the whole web to make a model which is simple and relevant to the contest and this is the only one that fulfills both the criteria! And besides, if we find a screwdriver then we can probably finish it! 🙂
Nick: I don't think so we are done just yet! 😥 We still have a lot to do! And the presentation! We got to prepare that too…ahh I so wish Spark was here! 😩
Crystal: NICK! It's fine even if we lose but we are not going to let him boss on us again! We don't need him okay!!!😤
(Spark leaves after hearing that)
(On his way back, he finds Miss Jasmine working in the school garden and walks towards the garden)
Jasmine: Spark, we meet again! So, what's wrong this time? Are your current teammates weak in science or not good enough to win the contest like the other team you mentioned earlier?
Spark: nothing like that Miss Jasmine, they are perfect but….
Jasmine: But what?
Spark: but for some reason, I am not enjoying working with them! 😞My goal is to win the contest at any cost and I am quite sure my team will win it but this doesn't make me that happy anymore! Earlier I was the one who had a problem with my imperfect team and now, when my team is perfect, everything is perfect, then why am I still unhappy Miss Jasmine? 😟
Jasmine: come along, I have something to show you! 😌
(She takes him towards a place in the garden filled with potted rose plants)
Spark: WOW! It's beautiful…there are so many varieties of roses here! You have a lovely garden miss Jasmine! 😍
Jasmine: Thank you Spark! 😊You know, there is a story behind this rose garden… That pot, over there…
(She points out towards a big old pot with a hole in it)
Remember that?
Spark: Oh yes! 😮 This pot belonged to the pottery class…It was a really beautiful one! But because of that hole, it was thrown away since it was useless. How did it get here?
Jasmine: I took it and used it for potting my first rose plant! I still remember, that day when I potted this plant it was lifeless and I had no hopes for it to grow, but today, the same plant is filled with roses and also, I used its branches to grow many other rose plants! 😄
Apparently, the plant couldn't breathe in its previous pot but the big hole of this pot facilitated its breathing and helped it grow so well! Now, imagine if this pot was as perfect as the other pot would it have done such a wonder? Would it have made this dying plant happy again? No right?! 😌
So, happiness does not always come with perfection! Sometimes even imperfect things like that pot can make one happy! It's all about the perspective in which we see things😉
We can consider the hole of the pot as its weakness or we can also turn it into its strength, It's all in our hands!
Spark: But Miss Jasmine, what if I had rejected the imperfect pot at first and now it's not with me, what should I do? 😥
Jasmine: Well, if it's still at your reach, and it's very important to you, then you should try your best to get it back! As the saying goes, "It's never too late to do what's right!"🙂
Spark: You are right Miss Jasmine! I want to get back to my imperfect pot as well and make things right! Can I do that Miss Jasmine? 🤩
Jasmine: But for that, you have to first deal with your present pot!
Spark: I can do that; I will tell them that I can't work with them anymore and apologize too. Besides, I have no important role there so they won't find it hard letting go of me! 😏
Jasmine: Well in that case…of course you can get back to your old pot! 😉
Spark: Thank you SOOO much, Miss Jasmine!!!🤩
Jasmine: Anytime😄 Now go and start working! The clock's ticking!
Spark(smiles): okay! 😊
(Spark exits)
(Near Scarlet and Nick)
Nick: Ah! Why isn't this fitting in at all! Oh, the time's running…I am telling you; we will lose! 😨
Crystal: Ah NICK! Can you stop complaining and focus on resolving your problem peacefully! I am already so pissed off with these wires and stuff, please don't irritate me more with your whining! 😬
(Just then Spark enters)
Spark: Mind if I help you? 😓
Crystal and Nick: SPARK!!😮😮
